- Locomotive hauled passenger trains in Victoria Australia are being replaced by diesel multiple units and the service to the coastal city of Warrnambool is one of the last and is due to be replaced in 2024 . All footage was taken at Warrnambool from both track side and from the air
Lovely footage there John! The kids playing in the background a nice touch on the audio. Cheers AC.
Thanks AC There a noisy lot at that school .
Fantastic commentary, info and footage. Well done
Thanks Bec.
So nice seeing the loco hauled pass. Great you gave the name and number of the locos
Thanks for the comment , glad you enjoyed it .
I might go back to warrnambool to film some n class, or maybe just go to my home vline station down my main road that serves Geelong and Ballarat lines.
Get them before they go
Excellent video, particularly the drone footage which includes wider views of the surrounding area. Do you know if the Swan Hill service still loco hauled, or has that now been taken over by Vlocity units?
At the moment the Swan Hill service is still loco hauled and looks like being the last to do so
Thanks for that.
Glad you enjoyed it @@distantscot945
the Warrnambool freight is a forgotten service considering it doesn't pass on the Up Geelong until 10pm and pass on the down at 4 am so people don't really wait for it as much
I was lucky do get it arriving , thanks for the comment
@@johnphillips592 yeah it normally gets in at 6-7 am in the morning
How many crew are on the N class?......... I can only see a driver in these views .
They are single person operated
😢
