    All deformers can effect particles, which emits whatever object you want, when emitter and deformer group under same null object. There is no need to use "Matrix" for this.

    Excellent crash course! And seriously, not just this video, your other videos are also really excellent. Do keep up the good work! Just a curiosity, the above works perfectly with a rigid body. Is it possible to get the same effect with the soft body too? So that when the spheres (soft body) collide with the collider bodies, it will bounce like a soft body does and then move on with their path. Because I tried with the soft body, and it quickly became very weird! Would love your input and better if you could make a video on this too. Thank you!

    • @3DFluff
      @3DFluff  6 лет назад

      No idea to be honest. With the rigid bodies c4d is just moving the entire object, hence you can sort of cheat it into the particle system. With soft bodies, it is a moving of the points and polys; so there's a chance it just won't work.

    • @kakarnyori5457
      @kakarnyori5457 6 лет назад

      Okay, no problem! And thank you again for your excellent videos on c4d!

  • @DenysGlagoliev
    @DenysGlagoliev 4 года назад +1

    Thanks! This is very informative tutorial! Could this particles collide between each or other particle group and change its preferences or birth new particles?

    • @3DFluff
      @3DFluff  4 года назад

      Colliding with other particles is fine because they use the full generic dynamics system. Spawning new particles, that wouldn't be an easy one, it would need some sort of custom script to do this.

  • @zeedot01

    Thank you so much for the tutorial. Just one question.(i'll try my best English). If I have 200fr animation and I want emitter to stop emitting at fraim100. why particles stop emitting and continue to the end of the spline, while Matrix just stop at that frame and not following particles ?

    great video this is revolutionary, but I've found a problem with this.
    I have a quite complex spline that I want the particles wrapping on, but when I add a twist they completely rip out of the spline shape and just do a big vortex, Not sure why they spin and stick to the spline for you and for me they just prioritise the twist. Ive tried changing the hierarchy and putting the twist above just makes it not have an effect. Also the twist is much more powerful no matter what the angle or size of it so they don't go in a straight line but a big spiral. Anyone encountered this or found a fix for this? Thanks in advance!

    • @kacp8052
      @kacp8052 3 года назад

      Ermm I have tried for hours before commenting this but turns out placing the twist above and simply turning the spline wrap off and on again works. No clue why but the twist is active now

    Any clues on projection mapping a 360 image? I know its off topic, but my brain is melting

    • @3DFluff
      @3DFluff  6 лет назад

      Oh jeez, errm. Never done that myself, what sort of shape is it landing on? ie. how detailed is the surface and how much needs to line up. Sometimes just whacking a cylindrical/spherical render lens on is the easiest option and add some visual markers to work to.

  • @JayBaggio
    @JayBaggio 4 года назад

    Hello, actually for some reason on my perspective view everything looks fine but when I render instead of seeing a stream of balls filling the whole length of the spline, they just just cover a 10th of the spline at any time and when they move forwards, instead of leaving a continuous trail from where they came from, they die out, so you only see a very small section of balls moving along the spline. Any ideas of what is causing this problem?

    • @3DFluff
      @3DFluff  4 года назад

      Remember the emitter has a different setting for editor particle count and render particle count. Make sure theyre set the same.

    It still annoys me the fact that Maxon pretty much stopped developing TP a long time ago.

    • @3DFluff
      @3DFluff  6 лет назад +2

      Generally whenever maxon has bought in some code, I think they've kind of regretted it a bit after buying it. They bought SLA but then weren't able to push it any further. They bought TP but it was so different from anything else in c4d, nobody knew how to further develop it. Same for pyrocluster. The only external code that has done ok has been open source stuff.
