The ones she sings herself typically always have that little bit “extra.” I also recommend the St. Peter Vevo live version, Lay It On Me live, etc. “I wrote Mother when I was in the process of moving back home from London, to Norway. A part of me felt like I had… taken a detour in regard to how I wanted to express myself - singing what I write, myself. This was one of the first songs I'd written in many years that just poured out of me, and I let it 'live.' I felt like I had lost… lost my place, a bit. A first for me, but there’s just something about a northern singer. Even without the video, you can hear that crisp desolation of the North. Beautiful. I don’t know the song; I thought it was going to be a cover of the Pink Floyd song. Very sweet.

Oooof. Gut punch. I was an outsider as a child and my mother was absent emotionally. The images also reminded me of childhood, so it was bringing back so many agonizing memories. Beautiful though.
I love Ina Wroldsen. She is such a great writer and composer, and a great singer too. You don`t see that too often. My favorite song by Ina, you haven`t reacted to that yet, guys. It`s a live performance, "Breathe", from 2018. She had a great voice, great songs but she didn’t have the looks they wanted 🤔😡 I don’t get it, why should it matter how you look?? She looks great to me 💕 So therefore she started writing music for other famous artists. I don’t know if you know this, but Ina is the vocalist in “How deep is your love” by Calvin Harris, she also wrote the song👍 She was also in a duo called Ask Embla, I love their music as well.
