When I did the steps and came to the point of adb devices it didn't find any devices with me either. I also used the second time the official download and then I got the next message when i typed 'adb devices': adb server version doesn't match this client ; killing... and then *deamon started succesfully. The moment when i did the steps again and typed adb services I only get: List of devices attached and then nothing. The laptop sees my mobile phone, i can tranfser files to it. Afterwards I tried the Root checker you mentioned earlier and when i clicked on verify root I got the next message: Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device (HTC One_M8 / Android Version: 6.0). I have no idea what it means or what I can do next, can you help me?
Hi, i run in the same problem. To fix it use the orginal Samsung Android USB driver found under adbdriver.com/upload/samsung_android_usb_driver.exe . After install, revoke authorization the dialog with the RSA key comes up (see video 08:51), click okay and now in the command line with the command "adb devices" my Samsung Galaxy A5 is shown. It didn't pop out with the notification to allow the access from my laptop, my laptop on the other hand comes out with a message " this app can't run on your PC" is the version on the phone I'm trying to add language to is too old? It does say android 8.1 ... Or is it about the ADB version?

This workin well, tested on htc one m9 but after restart phone, language disappear and you need manualy change language in morelocale app.

NO, you don't need sync manager only DRIVERS for ADB, but probably when you install sync manager it installs also drivers for ADB.

Okay, I have the solution. With the Find N for example you have to activate "Disable Permission Monitoring" in addition to "USB Debugging".

Looks like you don’t have correct drivers, you need to download and install drivers for your phone and make sure your phone connected to your PC
