    Just watched your 1st video - well done! Like the extra fuel system might look into that whenever I plan on a long trip with limited petrol stations. looking forward to watching your other videos.

      The caddy that I’m using is 4 gallons/15+ litres. I think I said 17 in the video but stand corrected😉

    Cool to see someone using the fuel caddy on the Ryker. I saw this set up on a ski doo and the salesperson said I could do same thing to Ryker. Might be worth considering. Looking forward to videos of your trip!

      Thanks! The Dempster hwy (600km of dirt) only has one fuel stop. It’s perfect for this!

    I did the trip a couple of years ago and from Eagle Plains to Inuvik could be problematic on a Ryker even with the extra fuel tank. Good luck and I'll be watching because it's a great adventure!

      Hi Michael. Yes I know it can be very tough on parts of that section. Especially if it rains! We would have to wait it out. I am all armoured underneath and in front thanks to Can-Am equipment sponsor.
      Can I ask what kind of problems you experienced?
      We have had to delay twice now because of Covid and restrictions and now hoping for 2023.

      @@RideForAdventures Hello, I've driven it twice from Washington and everything is fine until the dempster really. Even that is an amazing drive except for two minor things that can catch you off guard. The mud on the road when it rains is some of the worst I've ever driven in. We called it moose snot because you just slide everywhere. Secondly, they use a shale-like gravel on the road that can be like little pointed arrowheads that are razor sharp. I only had one flat but it was sliced really bad. The only place to fix that is at Eagle Plains which has service including a hotel and restaurant. The scenery around there is amazing and the Tombstone Mountains have to be one of the most beautiful places I've seen in Canada. We carried fuel which you will need I think because the distance from Dawson City to Eagle Plains and then Eagle Plains to Inuvik is too far for one tank on a Ryker. Fort McPherson has fuel most of the time and there is a store there as well. Sorry for the long post but to sort of sum up the issues it would be, fuel, mud, tires. If a Ryker tire was damaged beyond repair it would take some time getting one to Eagle Plains. We carried an extra on the top of a Jeep but it sounds like you guys will be on the Can Am and an adventure bike. Just a thought but I wonder if having a spare sent to Eagle Plains before you go, specifically for you guys is an option? Also that socket to remove a tire, I would definitely have one of those. No one up there will have one. Your trip is truly a great adventure and one you guys should definitely do. Also, logistically it's something Can-Am might love sponsoring in some way because it's advertising gold for the Rally. Hope my long-winded post helps and have an amazing trip! Keep us posted.

    I like your video(s). Good job.
    My problem with the Ryker is that I wish they did not get into bed with the Linq system. The fact that they are "easy" to get on and off is what also makes them easy for thieves to remove; you pull into a gas station and after getting gas you decide to use the washroom. You come out and something is amiss!🤨
    BRP made the Ryker with the hopes that lots of people will buy them and now that is true. But with popularity comes knowledge ....of how to open and/or remove things that are not locked down. I would want the option to mount a plate that could take a GIVI or Shad lockable boxes.

    • @RideForAdventures
      @RideForAdventures  2 года назад +1

      You have a very valid complaint. I was trying to put a paddle lock on it eventually with no success. Well hell! I now use a Givi case. It locks and I love it! It seems BRP cheaps out on a lot of things. I am 3 weeks out of warranty and they won’t help me out on a stalling issue when it’s hot outside. So we have figured out the problem of the bad design and a video will be out soon on the problem and the cure.
      Thanks for watching my vids! Really appreciate it!

    the specs for the max mount say the maximum weight on it is 22lbs. 15 liters of gas weighs 25lbs plus the weight of the jerry can plus the extra gear you are putting on top. Do you think this is beyond the weight limits of the max mount?

    • @RideForAdventures
      @RideForAdventures  3 года назад +1

      Hi Brian.
      No I really don’t. The max mount will also, with a passenger seat, hold an entire person, so there is no problem there at all. I think you may be thinking of the LinQ base plate which says it has a low weight tolerance. (22lbs). Although that too can carry accessories that were made for it that are far above what is stamped on there. Honestly the 50# that I may be carrying on there will not be a problem. 🙂

      Hello John. The fuel caddy is connected to The LinQ rack but you can purchase just the Linqs and put them anywhere. The LinQ rack, the Linqs and the magazine can all be purchased at a BRP ski-doo or Can-Am dealer.
