Yeah but id argue the truck is better because you can take it apart and still have the open box. All you need to do is buy a bed cap and then its a van again
I have a Chevy avalanche and it works great. Sometimes you’re carrying something that you don’t want to get inside of your cab whether that’s the smell of gas or dirt or something you’re hauling away. That’s the advantage of a pick up truck is that it separates the bed from the Cabin. And then if I need to carry something longer like a piece of furniture kayaking, four wheelers and of course I can make any new adjustments needed.
With a hardshell over the bed, this could be a very interesting camping build. You can remove the rear seats and make a bed inside, put a refrigerator, etc. Better than a tent or rooftop tent.
This is what you get when truck people design a truck and not tech nerds. As much as I want to demo a Cyber truck I want to see the Silverado EV even more. Shame about the design language of the front console though.
That is the exact same way to drop the back wall in my 04 avalanche. Will say i do really like my avalanche it has been reliable with almost 200k miles and i definitely take her into places and do chores she was never meant to do.
Perfect, so the loaded material hits you right in the back of your seat and breaks your neck when u have to perform an emergency break - smart design Chevrolet 😂
The possibilities of campers and toppers with the pass through built in is amazing to think about. This is literally the first time I have ever considered buying a Chevy in my entire life 😂
Not for nothing, but my 1994 Honda del Sol was practically IDENTICAL, except my glass rear window was motorized. Also, my "tailgate" worked more like a rear air dam, but my del Sol ALSO HAD A SAIL PANEL, and was ALSO PAINTED BLACK .
You just.. have an open cab at that point? Wow what a feature! They could have accomplished the same thing by just having a power window and structurally supporting the frame.
That's creative. If I ever go electric, I'll stick with legacy auto brands rather than startups; with the exception of Tesla. Oh and not the Cybertruck, their other models I'm fine with 😂
It's a Chevr-o-legs though, you will be walking before you know it. 500 miles of range does not make it a better truck if 500 miles only makes it at 30 mph.
Why didn't they just call it an Avalanche? Oh because in calling it a Silverado it makes the Silverado meet the epa requirements on fuel efficiency on average. Same reason the Mach E is a Mustang and a Bronco Sport is a Bronco. Too bad, they have some cool names they could reuse and it would be awesome.
I wouldn't mind myself one of these just to have...but in all fairness i couldn't have all that power and do nothing with it so i would be smart to get my ass on the move with it and make myself som ecash
That's what the original Avalanche was... A 5'4" bed that could "convert " to an 8'2" bed with the tailgate closed...the back window in , bed covers on and cargo being kept dry. It the possiblity of having 8' utility when you NEED it without having to drive around & worry about parking it full time. I had on for 11 years...most versatile vehicle.i ever owned
Glass is glass unless it's Lion glass...a new greener 5 Times more damage resistant form of glass from I believe Penn state university research team. You can also make it thinner and lighter and still be double the strength/ damage resistance. 🧙🏼♂️
Statistically speaking, just being a passenger or driver in a truck is a higher risk of injury than in a car when in an accident due to it's increased mass and ride height, according to the NTSB, so in this case... YOLO! :-D
GM has made some of the most impressive and iconic engines in history and continues to including the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in history, Corvette Z06 5.5 liter flat plane crank 670 hp V8 just to name a one.
Hey zark... I'm your fan, maybe not the biggest, buh I do watch all your videos, just want to say thank you for making such entertaining videos and please can I have your Xiaomi mi 9, I do need it to continue my mobile gaming career on RUclips 😢🙏
Optimize a pickup enough and it just becomes a cargo van once again
vans are best!
Yeah but id argue the truck is better because you can take it apart and still have the open box. All you need to do is buy a bed cap and then its a van again
@@Inferno45 then your cargo and tools are wet for the people carrying more than a high roof van can fit in it

Finally the avalanche is making a come back
With a hardshell over the bed, this could be a very interesting camping build. You can remove the rear seats and make a bed inside, put a refrigerator, etc. Better than a tent or rooftop tent.
At that point just get a Mercedes sprinter van there are very few things a pickup truck can actually do better than a sprinter van
they should have just called it an avalanche
My parents still drive an Avalanche! Great truck design for sure!
I worked at a carwash when the avalanches were new. That back window never got cleaned lol.
It's these small things that actually matter. That would drive me nuts
The new ev is just an electric avalanche
This is much better than cyber truck
I believe you are incorrect, sir. Even though your opinion is correct for yourself.
The all new Avalanche EV looks amazing!
This is thenfirst time in a VERRRY long time that I’ve seen something by Chevy that is cool and one can be envious of.
Im pretty sure Elon promised this feature in the Cyberpunk on X…
Where is it Elon?😂
This is what you get when truck people design a truck and not tech nerds. As much as I want to demo a Cyber truck I want to see the Silverado EV even more. Shame about the design language of the front console though.
I was expecting a tear down and seeing the scratch resistant testing 😹 😅
Make the back glass lower into sheet metal and not remove
"Autobots Roll Out"
- Optimus Prime
If you're looking for exciting new technology you're going to look like a dork looking in Western countries it's happening in China
"ekk ukk okkk okkk ekk" - Optimum Pride
They should have called it the Avalanche
That is the exact same way to drop the back wall in my 04 avalanche. Will say i do really like my avalanche it has been reliable with almost 200k miles and i definitely take her into places and do chores she was never meant to do.

We had a back window that came out. I forgot and left on trunk when I drove way. You can guess what happened
When is someone going to make a full bed single cab EV or even hybrid??
Jerry touched a glass and dont made a scratch test, wtf
The possibilities of campers and toppers with the pass through built in is amazing to think about.
This is literally the first time I have ever considered buying a Chevy in my entire life 😂
I think this is the first time I've actually wanted a truck
It’d be cool to be able to put the back wall down while also keeping the seats up for a nice summer drive
You can still take out the glasspanel
@@Paul43210 yeah but I could also roll down a window.
@@theshawnkelly yeah of course 😂😂 you started this 'take the back out of a truck for a nice summerride' thing not me lol
Like an old bronco
Not for nothing, but my 1994 Honda del Sol was practically IDENTICAL, except my glass rear window was motorized. Also, my "tailgate" worked more like a rear air dam, but my del Sol ALSO HAD A SAIL PANEL, and was ALSO PAINTED BLACK .
Letting lumber and raw materials into your cab means damaging your door cards. Dumb idea
Truck beds isolate cargo and save your upholstry.
You just.. have an open cab at that point? Wow what a feature! They could have accomplished the same thing by just having a power window and structurally supporting the frame.
The SUV epidemic is real on this one
70.000$ for a truck is for crazy people, 80% of the planet can barely afford a 4000$ vehicle, some can't even afford that.
That's creative. If I ever go electric, I'll stick with legacy auto brands rather than startups; with the exception of Tesla. Oh and not the Cybertruck, their other models I'm fine with 😂

Gm would make that junk manual removable wiindow😂
As a 20 year mechanic, there bottom of the barrel next to ford😂
Fantastic
The back dropping down is great for camping, not so great at stopping a heavy load in the back from crushing you in a collision.
Alright, this right here actually makes me consider an ev.
I wonder why they didn't make the midgate glass a roll down like the 4runner rear window. Would work out better IMO
I want.
I wouldn't mind myself one of these just to have...but in all fairness i couldn't have all that power and do nothing with it so i would be smart to get my ass on the move with it and make myself som ecash
Dope
Used an iphone for years finally made the switch to a standard s23 and i love it honestly dont tbink ill be switching back
yesh cuz you want the driver seat to take the hit when you have plywood in the back and get into a front facing crash
Do the normal Silverado has this feature? Or only EV has this?
Chevy remade the avalanche, but worse, because it's an EV!
For when you actually need to do truck stuff after you bought a luxury people hauler
You should do a review on the topsee truck by Edison motor company
Next level!!
This should be standard on every GM truck
I love this truck, but to expensive for me 😢😢😢
I have an old baja, the lack of a pass through on the Maverick and Santa Cruz bothers me.
Every truck should have been built like this especially those 5.5 foot bed crew cabs
That's what the original Avalanche was... A 5'4" bed that could "convert " to an 8'2" bed with the tailgate closed...the back window in , bed covers on and cargo being kept dry.

They copied the ram electric truck
new avalanche is great!
Best electric truck by far
We want the Chevy avalanche back
And glass breaks
The midgate returns!!!
☠️⚠️Cybertruck⚠️☠️
Jerry gets my 👍🏾 for being an awesome husband, father, and all around Dude🤜🏾🤛🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I’m just watching this video happy Dan and Zach are still friends 😂
How do you completely ignore the fact that you have no back window now?😂
So what, not a lot of wind or water would come in anyway as it is in the back.
What's the price $$$$
Very dangerous 😮
That truck Rocks!
IT'S OPTIMUS PRIME
Glass is glass, love it as always. 😂

Using watch
What was the name of that awkward thing they said...?
Cyber...what???
I like that
I love this truck…
Thumbs up
GJ
This is an Engineering Marvel!
Look up the mid gate on the Avalanche. GM has had this for decades!!!
Imagine getting into a head on accident with cargo like that, you are not surviving. 😂
Statistically speaking, just being a passenger or driver in a truck is a higher risk of injury than in a car when in an accident due to it's increased mass and ride height, according to the NTSB, so in this case... YOLO! :-D
As we know glass is glass, glass breaks😂
the storm was a paid actor 😂
Uh-Ah-Ah-Uh-Ah Optimum Pride
Cool
Can't wait to see these roaming the city, carrying absolutely nothing on their beds.
Glass is glass and it's .......................... ❤
It’s just too bad the engine and transmission are made by GM
It’s electric
I feel like there’s a joke here i’m missing
The only good engine gm made was the 3800 v6
Good thing it's electric 👍🏻
GM has made some of the most impressive and iconic engines in history and continues to including the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in history, Corvette Z06 5.5 liter flat plane crank 670 hp V8 just to name a one.
At least I know why this truck costs 5 times what it ought to.
Leak waiting to happen lol
You deserve your own TV show❤
I think that would take his freedom of speach and probably the content wouldn’t be the same .

They should rebrand it as the Avalanche EV since that’s what it is.
Make the Redmagic 9 Pro disassembly
How long should patents last for?
Frankly 40 years of being less and less impressed with advancements so-called in American western or capitalist technology
This is just a worst chevy avalanche
Yeah …. No. Sorry Jerry. For that much work. U could buy a iPhone… lol
Oh great, they ruined the avalanche
Woah thats cool
I saw a F91W 👀
Best watch ever.
@@JerryRigEverything indeed, one of my favorite ❤️
