The split rock lighthouse tour is totally worth it, not for the lighthouse, but because of the lighthouse keeper houses. It gives you a real sense of how they lived then. I go every 5 years or so. Glensheen in Duluth is also totally worth a visit.

I absolutely love this video. I'm originally from Duluth, Minnesota and I miss my home state. Living out of state makes me appreciate all that I've seen and been able to do up the North Shore of Minnesota Highway 61 North. Thank you for providing such a beautiful video. It brought me to tears on how much I love and miss it.

I've been going up to the north shore since I was a kid. One of my favorite memories is stopping at your "old school" souvenir shops. The one place that myself and my family stop at every time is Tom's Logging Camp. Other than the great souvenir shopping, they also have an old logging camp tour
available. The owners are terrific and enjoy talking with their customers. I HIGHLY recommend this stop go those that enjoy going back in time.

Don't forget to park in any of our fabulous garages where the lot parking may cost $30 for 8 hours, but the homeless man stabbing you is included. Don't forget to ask about the free car break-in window smashing service, or finding orange syringe caps in your upscale hotel room from the hordes of roaming sex workers that keep our many hospitality institutions in varying states of solvency

You will love it, just do a little research to familiarize yourself so you don’t miss anything while heading up the north shore. If you have time on your way home swing over to Bayfield, it’s on the Wisconsin side. You can take a ferry around the apostle islands for a tour or over in cornucopia you can kayak out to the sea caves…..it’s amazing !!! But don’t go on your own, go with an outfitter, they have all the equipment, have experienced guides and are watching the weather closely! Things change quickly out there and there are no landing spots just sheer cliffs, so pay the $60-100 ? And be safe !
      Have a wonderful time !!!

The north shore is definitely one of the best places I’ve been, it’s definitely the place I feel most at home, planning on moving to Duluth once my lease is up. You got pretty much everything, only thing you missed of mine is if you like coffee you have to go to Java moose in grand Marais, I live in a city with tons of coffee shops but none of them even compare to this place, they have a store and a lil concession stand type shop on the beach, I only ever go to the one on the beach

    • @OurMillionAdventures

The daily fee of $7 is good for all state parks for that day. So if you are doing this all in one or two days you may still want to pay the daily fee. I always encourage people to buy the annual pass though, there are so many beautiful parks in Minnesota including 8 on the North Shore.
