- Arc changes the dynamic of web browsing! In today's video, I will showcase Arc's game changing features that sets it apart from your typical top-tab browsers. P.S. You can finally enjoy browsing the internet, clutter-free!

While it's not exactly the same, Vivaldi does have a lot of similar features that just work a bit differently than Arc. And Vivaldi is available pretty much everywhere. I quite enjoy it.
I might have to give Vivaldi a try!
Vivaldi user here, I just tried it, it's very well made, but I don't see myself using it anytime soon. It's not bad, but I just don't like it.
I'd even use Firefox over arc.
Actually most of the features are not new at all, but they are the first to e.g. set the tab bar on the side as default.
I guess why people love it is because is just well made and pretty. It just feels at home in MacOS, is just has that extra sparkle design that tech people love lol✨
Something as simple as split screen browsing built natively into the browser just feels so nice!
Excellent video! Your editing is brilliant 😊
Love how you can also save the split view tabs for future use!
Thank you😄You planning on switching?😬
I’m gradually using it more and more until I eventually make the decision to switch!
That decision has not been made yet 😁
it's in ms edge too.
@@cutekitty5678Dude no one uses Edge.💀
nice video, really helpful!❤
just signed up to be a beta tester for the windows roll-out. thank you for this useful information
Glad it was helpful! Hope you enjoy using the browser as much as I do.
Side bar for tabs has been a thing in most browsers for decades, even Opera had it back when it was a normal browser and not a chrome ripoff. People just don't use it because it's not as convinient as top tabs. And "Archive tabs" sounds like bookmarks but annoying
Three weeks ago I would have agreed to this comment. But I actually tried Arc out for myself instead of talking about it without trying it out, and ended up loving it.
@@DinoQuintana I'm not saying it's a bad browser. I'm saying, that this is not what you should use as a selling point. It's like all those articles about "best Linux distro for Windows users" with points like "customization" and "easy to install steam and play games". That's the norm for every distro/browser and it's not what people are looking for when they choose one.
Arc is definitely selling it for having a sidebar on steroids. folder, folder previews, auto rename tab, sharing folder @@deim3
@@deim3 They made it the selling point precisely because people were used to the old ways those were executed, which convinces me even more that you've never tried Arc at all.
I am using this in Brave and like it far more than top tabs, since I often have hundreds of tabs open at the same time. Using vertical tabs helps with organizing my stuff.
It’s not even open source. I’ll keep sticking to a hardened modification of waterfox nightly.
I’ve never tried this one. Looks like a great choice!
oh damn this is really cool i might try this on my school computer, just not my home one because i need opera for the resources limiter
Definitely give it a try! You may like it more than Opera, who knows haha.
Ive heard that the resource limiter doesnt do anything, so thats something to look into. Also, Opera is owned by a Chinese company, so your data goes directly to the Chinese government
dont use opera
Almost all of these features are already on microsoft edge.
I personally prefer the UI of this one more!
@Raj_Pandya Sorry but you're wrong. Edge has these features even before arc was announced, and I'd heard of arc at least 8 months or a year back.
Also, this isn't a browser Battle. I just said that these features are there on edge. I never said edge is better.
@@Raj_Pandya something having the same or similar features, doesn't mean they were copying.
is there a better browser with low ram usage instead of chrome for windows 10? can you suggest me one?
I would use Edge instead. It has better RAM management and it's just as fast as Chrome!
@@corruptx7 i hope you know its privacy issues.. if not, then search it. its the main reason why i (and many others) dont use it.. so suggest me another one
Firefox
@@vvv4749 i mean i am using it right now but i still want one with more customization and less ram usage
only split screen mode i have no in vivaldi (and vivaldi available everywhere).
I really hate that it doesn't show you the full URL at all times
I usually just press CMD + L. It’s handy enough.
Not yet for linux? Thanks for informing at the start of the video , saved my time.
No problem mate
0:11: "So there is a learning curve..."
0:21: "So it will be a seamless transition from one browser to another..."
I mean...
0:11 - Browser in general.
0:21 - Browser extensions. All of your extensions on Chrome will work on this browser as well.
@@corruptx7 not what was said
It's a seamless transition because you don't need to go out of your way to download a different set of browser extensions. You can continue using the same extensions from Chrome making your decision to transition to Arc that much easier.
I hope this clarifies what I meant.
@@corruptx7 Dude, I know how it is. I've been using it on and off for over 2 years now. Actually, I'm replying from Arc. It's just that you said there was a learning curve just to say 10 sec later that the change of browsers would be seamless. You can't separate things: even if the extensions are still the same, there's still the learning curve for the whole thing. So it won't be seamless after all.
Only currently available for a small percentage of desktop internet users, no current versions for either Windows or Linux, have to create an account to use, sketchy security/privacy at present, huge sidebar that takes up valuable screen space, so no, this is NOT the best browser in 2023. Not by a long shot.
They have a beta version for Windows. The account creation is for syncing tabs. You can hide the sidebar or you can shrink it at any time. This is a productivity browser and I just love how minimal it is. I totally understand the privacy concerns. What browser are you currently using?
If Arc is the best browser you've ever used it makes me wonder just how many you've tried. A beta version means it's a test version, not a full release. From my understanding you have to create an account just to use the browser, the ability to sync comes with that. If you hide the sidebar can you still see your bookmarks & tabs? I currently use Firefox and LibreWolf as my browsers, and I have no privacy concerns with either of them. I'd be willing to give Arc a spin if they release a non-Google Linux version, but I'm not impressed by what I see so far, whether it's in your video, or directly on their website.
lil bro, what, the whole point of the side bar is so that it doesn’t take up the valuable screen space, because vertical space is generally more expensive than horizontal AND you have a super convenient shortcut to hide it AND you don’t even have to use the shortcut and instead hover the left side to auto bring it up/hide it
@@kailron Hiding or hovering the sidebar doesn't change the fact that if it's open it takes up more screen space than a horizontal bar. Even if the sidebar wasn't an issue, the account requirement and security/privacy issues are enough to deter me. Just because it's a new browser doesn't make it better, and certainly not the 'best' of 2023.
@@corruptx7they could have used the qr method for syncing tabs if they cared a bit about privacy. That’s what brave uses. Arc seems shady af
underrarted
It's very attractive, but is extension available?
I think so too! You can use any Google Chrome extension.
am i tripping or is its logo is the same as android studio just a recolor
I can kinda see that😅 That must be where they got their inspiration from.
@@corruptx7 ye lol still looks very good with the colors and the roundines but still its a steal :D
wait a minute, you said you were using Edge, but Arc isn't available on Windows yet so... you were using Edge on MacOS? That's peculiar lol
(btw nothing wrong with using Edge, I use it more than Chrome, just weird you were using microsofts browser on an apple computer)
YOU WERE USING EDGE...
What’s wrong with Edge?
So... nice if you're on a mac laptop, but nothing else at the moment. You could've led with that.
i just watched a advertisement
So its not on linux thats sucks as 80% of the time i use linux
They may have plans for it in the future🤞
not to mention windows
@@NithinJune Windows version releasing next month😁
@@corruptx7 yea i’m excited
Someone will make a firefox clone soon
BUT it doesnt in windows yet.
It'll be out in December!
Key word is Arch is base on chromium then same like chrome coz google take code and change it then no thanks. Firefox only forever.
ARC brower just feels like a macbook browser tbh
The beta version is available on Windows!
@@corruptx7 ok!
if it was open source i would use it
Fair enough😅
Im ngl this just looks like vivaldi
Hardened firefox better
Hell, tor better.
This browser is aesthetically pleasing!
I understand that privacy is a concern, but the majority of people use Chrome. I’d choose Arc over Chrome any day!
why not opera gx
I like the aesthetics! Opera GX is great though.
Most of opera gx unique features dont work (or so ive heard) and its owned by a Chinese company so Arc is probably safer and more private
I'm staying with vivaldi
Nothing special that will make me want to change. Most features already exists in other browsers and I am really concerned about the Security of Arc (or lack of).
Bruv literally just listed the functions in Opera 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
This is my browser of choice anyway. Opera is also an excellent option!
@@corruptx7 I am using Opera GX
90% Of the features are already in Opera. 70% of of the features are in every browser already. You're fanboying over vertical* tabs like they haven't been in every browser for the past 5 years minimum...
"You need an account to download and use, this will come as a red flag for a lot of you" - It's a fucking HUUUUGE red flag. Why do I need an account to use a browser? Rule 1 of the Internet rules 101 = "If you're not buying a product, and have to sign up for it. You're the product". They will 300% sell your data down the line, there's literally ZERO, absolutely ZERO reason to have an account for a browser forced by default.
It's not just the features, the browser UI just looks better than other browsers imo! Arc doesn't have horizontal tabs so I can't be fanboying over something it doesn't have😅
Creating an account is mainly for syncing data across different platforms. I do understand your point and if this is not the browser for you then stick with whatever you're using!
I wouldn't trust a Chinese-owned browser.
How can you say that "is the best browser in 2023 (Arc browser)", if it is not even a PC available web browser, not for Windows so far... It is only available for a reduced bunch of MAC OS people, and not even for Linux either.
Windows version its in close beta it will probably be out soon, as for linux idk but who uses linux with other browser than firefox
@@nskubix3196 fortunately, there are more options than the recycled Firefox, son, such as Pulse browser or Floorp browser far better than Firefox...
I'm replying to you with the windows arc :)
No android
Nothing special that will make me want to change
except it'll never be released for windows,
and it sucks.

No Windows or Linux support? Dead on arrival 😂
The beta version for Windows is available.
Why is no one calling out this scam? Arc is closed source, they have fake comments all over their videos on RUclips. Well at least you named your channel appropriately.
They’re just a startup and not every browser is open source. I don’t know how it can be a scam. There is just a lot of hype around it, that’s all.
>chromium
no thanks
"arc is based on chr-" nevermind
😭

What do you mean?
the worst browser
What makes it the worst browser?

Just another generic Chromium fork. Yawn
If this doesn’t convince people to switch, nothing will.
What an amazing video man, really great edits and has me considering switching😂
Keep these coming🫶🏻
Thanks man!
You have to give it a shot! I was hesitant at first, then I found out that you can import everything from your ex-browser. Makes transitioning a breeze😁
Shady privacy statement... Also: How else do you make money then?
