I had an inkling that the Orioles were fruitlessly trying to keep up with the big boys in their division, but I doubt anyone was expecting this. They are... words can't describe it. Nearly everything has gone to shit. They are deep into the tanking sweepstakes. Remember that the Orioles were trying to compete for a playoff spot this season.
So what has caused this collapse into the basement of the league? With the powers of hindsight (and disapproval), this video will allow you to learn... something? Maybe?
Baltimore left their hopes and dreams with Britton in the bullpen in 2016
👏🏻
EXE-Edits 😢
2016 was our last shot. And I agree since then, we've become a total shithole for baseball. I'm just gonna sit back at wait for the next 20 odd years for the Orioles to get good again and for competent management to take over. Fuck you Angelos!
EXE-Edits Once Edwin hit that homerun it was over for the O's
EXE-Edits Yup
From laughingstock to AL East Champs with the best record in the AL. What a turnaround.
I don't care that they're probably going to get swept. The fact that the Orioles won 100+ games and significantly outperformed franchises like the New York Yankees, New York Mets, and San Diego Fraudres despite having far less money than those clubs is way more impressive than winning the World Series, imho.
Reminds me of a 2021 SF Giants.
As a Red Sox fan, quite happy with the Orioles’ turnaround the past few years. Hopefully they win a championship soon.
Me, an Orioles Fan:
*sigh*...Ok, I'm ready for this. Burn it all to hell...
Here we see a so called 'Orioles Fan'. Don't touch it, it is an endangered species. Jays fans be like "I thought we were shit until we have Orioles in the AL East"
Joe Hamliton what’s a Orioles fan that must be a rare creature
i am also a orioles fan
@@thefrozenone6980 What's that?
@@hoopinproductions5121 An orioles fan is an endangered species. They suffer from depression. They also have a disease called trashidous.
I'm pretty sure if you blindfolded my three year old niece she could make contact more often than Chris Davis right now.
DAAAMN 😂
I wouldn't bet against her doing that.
Yeah he fail off the cliff. Literally. Lol.
Wow. A legit channel commenting on a Tree video...
*Tree voice* "Impressive stuff..."
Honestly, if you give Chris Davis 20/20 vision, I still would say that your niece wins.
Well, beautiful Camden Yards finally has a team worthy of its beauty again.
I’ve been to this 10 different ball parks and Camden has the best French fries so atleast they win something
Onion Man Nats fan. Camden Yards has better food than Nats Park so at least they have that.
Don t forget the Crab cakes
I have been to Camden yards once and citi field 8 times

Being drafted as a pitcher to the Orioles is the equivalent of being drafted as a QB to the Cleveland Browns.
Speaking of which whose the number one prospect in the 2019 MLB Draft.
@@clipobserver 😓
Just for the record the new browns QB actually turned them into a new team which is actually somewhat good. One pitcher can't turn the orioles organisation into contenders so they aren't really equivalent
@pannoni6 i do like the baker to jarvis connection. They have some chemistry
As an O's fan. I say f*ck you.
I went to an Orioles game earlier this year and they actually won I was crying
Onion Man Same. I thought it was a mirage at first. The only other time they won.
I’d love a Angelos family Legacy of Failure from Tree! We all deserve it. It’s a great day to be an O’s fan. Especially after that awful Ravens AFC Championship game on Sunday.
Being a Giants fan, I would add Mike Yastrzemski to the list of ex-Orioles who broke out after leaving Baltimore. He gets drafted by the Orioles in 2013, but it wasn't until he was traded to the Giants before 2019 that he gets promoted to the majors. Not only that, he hits his first MLB homer against (you guessed it) the Orioles, finishing the year with 21 home runs.
They should have called it the BaltiMorgue.
At least Baltimore has the Ravens.
Edwin Esposito The Ravens are straddling the line between rebuild and contend. The only thing making them look close the last two years is that the AFC is a tire fire and the North has been leading the march to the bottom. When we can sweep our division slate by showing up without a game plan and dicking around for three quarters, you know something is wrong. Remember, the Ravens scooped up that playoff spot the Bills forfieted with the Peterman "experiment" and forfieted it right back to them care of defensive ineptitude par excellence.
BeastOfMetal1989 yeah but Lamar Jackson 👀
It would fit with the city's ACTUAL nickname of "Bodymore, Murderland."
Edwin Esposito the Ravens are aging badly and have an absolute albatross of a contract named Joe Flacco. Your best case scenario is sneaking in as a wild-card team and getting creamed in the first round.
Another day, another Urinating Tree video. When I watch, I leave a Like. Congrats on 150K subs dood. Here's to 200K.
I’m a diehard orioles fan, but everything you said in this video is so true!
Owen Fay Your Orioles will have a great team in near future buddy and I am a Mariners fan lol we can’t even make the playoffs for Christ shake
@@jivangill4929 Well your comment aged well for the Orioles. The Orioles are now playoff contenders. However, the mention regarding the Mariners didn't, in a good way though. The Mariners are a winning team now and made the playoffs in 2022.
From "Avian Flu" to postseason contenders! Orioles just clinched the playoffs today!
Further more, they clinched the AL East for the first time since 2014.
And the AL Playoffs will be going through Baltimore.
They turned it around, haven't they?
I like how you said “that game” because the first game I thought of was 30-3 against the rangers.
You wouldn't be blamed for bringing up that atrocity.
that is "that game" to me as well. Still remember articles saying how the Ravens hadn't allowed 30 points at home for many years up to that point.
I feel so bad for the legend Gary Thorne having to call this crap.
Jonathan Zygmunt even Gary Thorne is tired of this team, you can hear it in his voice now
Put him back to calling NHL gms
When does Thorne's contract with the Orioles expire?
Dylan Williams It's actually depressing, when this team fails he just accepts it, and when anything good happens he still just sounds defeated.
I love Gary Thorne. Each night, I feel his pain on the radio as he broadcasts these travesties. He, like every Oriole fan, just wish the baseball Gods or Earl Weaver's spirit come and sack the Angelos family out of Eutaw Street.
"He fails with runners on base, he fails with NOBODY on base." Am i the only one who died at this.
mango_666 He fails in the dugout too. The dude is a flu virus.
“Like Manny Machado when he gets traded to a real team.”
**Signs with San Diego Padres**
**Mediocrity intensifies**
Well he did get traded to LA
@Bub loves lunch in a bucket yea he keeps hitting players
He shoulda signed with the white sox because the white sox have won a world series (3) while the Padres have won none
@@lucasblanton5203 Just from history standpoint really?
With that contract, why bother trying anymore at all?
This video still holds up. I talked to an O’s fan in college a couple years ago who said he’s waiting for Angelos to die. There are fans, it’s just they no longer care.
@Fries They did, but they need to be willing to open up their pockets if they want to win.
Machado “wants to play for contender”
*signs with padres*
You’ll be surprised how good the Padres are going to be
Not a terrible move signing with the team whose prospects are coming up, all the talent around him will be pretty cheap during the majority of the contract.
At least it’s better than the Orioles
Hey the padres set so many records this season...
They are going farrrrrr in the future trust me

Orlando the magic of historic failure
Black Flags Matter Orlando hires Steve Clifford as a head coach. They are officially fucked.
You're not kidding about all of their pitchers. At one point, they had Arrieta, Bundy, Britton, Brian Matusz, and Chris Tillman, a string of 4 potential aces and a solid 2/3. The only one who's lived up to billing is Arrieta, and he did that in Chicago.
Chris Davis is just too good right now
Fuck you Davis

I think Chris Davis is making Bobby Bonilla look like Babe Ruth when he played for the Mets
@@ryanholloway246 sarcasm was there
Kevin Gausman, a former pitcher for the Orioles, was a complete flop with them, then was traded to the Giants, where he currently has a 7-0 record with them, is in contention for the Cy Young award, and was just voted pitcher of the month in may. Hmmm, I wonder if “We Like To Party” would play on Chris Davis Day?
I love my O's and they are FINALLY addressing their decades of mis-management, poor drafting, player development/farm system, and international scouting. All i can do now is hope.
Sucks that Chris Davis was (allegedly) hitting the ball better in spring training only for the coronavirus to put everything on hold.
Now they are 2-1 in the shortened season. Meanwhile my rangers are 1-2. Lol the dodgers are 2-2 and so are the giants.

if you think that’s good, just wait until you see this team in 2023…
Welcome to being an Orioles fan lolz. And it’s only gotten worse since this video dropped.
It's actually gotten a lot better. The MLB team still sucks, but the minor leagues and player development has taken major steps and they actually have a rebuilding plan now.
@@hardyos1 It's all hopes though. Our offense may end up being studs but our pitching development has been a consistent issue for a generation now.
We gonna be another Padres is that doesn't change
I'm here after watching the Nationals win a title. I know so many Orioles fans who told me that they'd win another one before the Nationals win their first.
Knowing Buck Showalter, the year after he leaves the Orioles they will win the world series
AmericanNohbuddy ™
just like what happened with the Yankees in 96
Make the Orioles great again.
Showalter is like Boudreau, the NHL version, not the guy who led the Indians to their last title.
- Like when Earl Weaver 'retired' after the '82 season, they won the World Series the following year.
At least Earl Weaver had 1970.
THANK YOU TREE THIS ORIOLE FAN HAS BEEN WAITING FOR A ORIOLES LOLCOW VIDEO FOR QUITE A WHILE
We just won the American League East division title. I'm stunned.
As a Blue Jays fan, watching Buck Showalter make the worst pitching change in MLB history will never stop being entertaining.
As an Orioles fan, you guys deserved to win that after we did ourselves in.
Well, since Chris Davis retired...
Damn Blue Jays... Used to beat our asses and win World series when we competed in the early 90s. But thankfully the Nats moved to my native DC 15 years later, so no longer do I have to root for the team 40 miles north of me
Ubaldo Jiménez, LOL.
And now he’s managing the Mets…
It also doesn't help that Camden Yards is the AL Coors Field
That's an easy fix, move the left field, and right center seats back...oh, and actually learn to develop pitching....or, actually spend money for legit pitching.
Not to mention the Yankees were known to made themselves feel at home whenever they visit.

Listen dude … as an O’s fan, you could hear a collective “WHAT THE FUCK” when Showalter put in Ubaldo Jimenez in the Wild Card. We knew it was over. Fast forward 8 years, it was worth the ride 😭
7:19 about the pitching, Kevin Gausman was terrible until a "real team" rehabilitated him into a Cy Young candidate. Unless someone named DeGrom just so happened to exist in the same year.
2023: The Orioles have risen from the ashes, good for them.
Here in 2023 when they currently have the best record in the American League

Same situation for me, only when he did a video on the Islanders. Sometimes the best way to show you love your team is to watch them get eviscerated for how management has been running things.
Joey Banks The highest attendance games I've seen all season were against the Nationals, Red Sox and Yankees, more than half the fans were for the opposing teams.

Ah Baltimore, the city with so much success in sports that the Orioles look like a red headed step child in comparison. The success of the city, both nationally and internationally is legendary. From the Baltimore Colts strangle hold on the American Football League, to the Ravens fucking over the Browns and winning a Super Bowl mere years after the move. To a comparatively little known team called the Baltimore Stallions just making the Canadian Football league their bitch en route to the first and only Grey Cup won by a non-Canadian city, these accomplishments make Baltimore the most successful city in all of Pro football history. To Olympic gold medal athletes. Yet somehow the Orioles are so bad they haven't even acquired a sliver of this success purely through Osmosis.
And that Baltimore Stallions team became the reincarnated Montreal Alouettes once the CFL pulled the plug on its American experiment.
Six years removed and the Orioles are now contenders in their division, have a top rated farm system, have guys like Adley Rutschman and Gunner Henderson on their team, prospects like Jackson Holliday and Coby Mayo up and coming, and to top it all off; the Angelos family selling the team.
Damn they had Kevin Gausman at one point 😂
And now Kevin Gausman is good after leaving the Orioles.
The Baltimore Orioles could be a .500 team ... if they played the New York Mets for the rest of the season.
That's the only team they own.
Let that sink in.
We just got lucky
Orioles won’t be the same until Peter Angelos croaks.

I wish Cal Ripken could buy the team
My friend is an Orioles fan. He and the rest of the fans are waiting for Angelos to get the Bill Wirth speciality.

Sadly the team goes to his kids.
Fans have wanted Angelo off the team for 2 decades. Always signs in attendance saying we need a new owner.
4 years later:
The Baltimore Orioles are over .500 & are only a half game behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the 6 seed in the AL Wild Card.

As an Oriole fan, I've been saying we were done since after that wild card game in 2016. Yet, despite my constant concerns, as well as other fans of the black and orange, the team never seems to listen. As much as I liked Buck, I've come to be a little annoyed by him. He'll probably go as soon as we lose Machado, Jones, and Britton.
Besides, who puts in a starter to close out a game?! I was one of the first fans to actively question such a decision. It got us in the ass and threw us into this mess.
At least we have the Ravens and the Caps. Fuck you, Angelos!
Watch if the Orioles fire buck they'll go on to win the world series.
October 4th... Maybe there is hope
Now behind young stars like Adley Rutschman, Dean Kremer, Kyle Bradish, and King Felix II, Baltimore is back and loaded with young talent. They finally learned how to develop pitching again!!
In April 2002, Peter Angelos will sell the Orioles to a Baltimore-based ownership group consisting of Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, Allegis Group co-founder and CEO Jim Davis, Allegis Group president Andy Hilger, filmmaker John Waters, former WWE wrestler Stacy Keibler, former Olympian Michael Phelps, former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis and Orioles legend Cal Ripken Jr. for $2.75 billion.
They have continued to screw up pitchers. Dylan Bundy is now a great starter with the Angels and Kevin Gausman is now one of the best starters in the MLB with the Giants
You can now add Dylan Bundy to former Orioles pitchers that got better with a new team
FBI Stat Major yep. So Hader,Arrieta,Strop,Bundy, E Rod, Helickson

Yep, money well spent, and well lost cause he's as good as done....they'll likely have to eat most of that contract.
To think Chris Davis had received MVP votes several seasons ago before this albatross contract.
A Colorado Rockies beat reporter said this regarding the starting pitching
"Pitching inside Coors Field is the equivalent of a vacation in Beirut."
The same can also be said for Baltimore's staff. When your best pitcher is Dylan Bundy, that's frightening to know. Just chuck the GD team in the Chesapeake and be done with it. Don't forget to include Peter Angelos.
Buck Showalter: Zach Britton is Zach Britton, but Ubaldo Jimenez can be anything! He could even be Zach Britton!
