Roller Measure (1979)

Disco Stu from The Simpsons probably had a Ronco Rhinestone & Stud Setter in his possession. Just look at his outfit & prove me wrong.
I don't even know how I got here, but I can't look away LOL. Everything is $9.98 or $7.77. I wish I had that salad spinner and the shower bar!
I had a bedazzler, I still have my bedazzled jackets
Don't forget to multiply the prices by 4.5 to account for inflation. $45 for the Ronco Roller Measure doesn't seem like such a great deal.
My sister had one. The stud setter worked well. Loved it👍
I remember the rhinestone and stud setter, salad spinner, and smokeless ashtray commercials from around the 1975 Christmas season commercials on TV. Only ones missing are the one with that dust buster cleaning up cigarette butts and little kid dropping a glass object in the kitchen and glass froster.
12:53 "Blanche, with the Tidie Drier, you can finish the laundry atop the night stand instead of that cold, damp basement. Now, doesn't that sound better?"
Smokeless ashtray is nice, but what about the smoke they blow out of their mouth?
I still have my potato chip machine! It still works and it does make the very best potato chips ever! LOL
The ending v/o Ronco's The Rhinestone and Stud Setter ad was former NBC West Coast announcer, the late Victor Bozeman and the ending v/o Ronco's Speed-Tufting Kit was former WUAB (Cleveland,Ohio) announcer Marty "Superhost" Sullivan.
Great commercials.
4:11 The Sit On Trash Compactor! My fave
I bought a never opened tidie dryer for my girlfriend at a garage sale, still works great!
Just sit on it , Martha
As long as she's wearing rhinestone-studded hot pants....
Is that like sit and spin?
That guy in the shower had eyebrows that could take flight!!
Those were some big brows
Christie Perry ohh, so that’s where mine went!
My grandma hated complicated finger thingys...
At the interview in the production warehouse...." I grew up with many ronco gifts!!".
Teenagers can do their own thing!
8:30 And this is what teenagers used to do before the Internet was a thing. 😩
I Love Ronco I Was Little Boy
RIP Ron Popeil
What fun! It's like a walk back through the 1970's.
Seriously? 🤨
I am SO sick of hearing that shrieking flute in the Christmas music that plays after EVERY ad.
BUY IT AT WOOLWORTH WOOLCO WALGREENS FAYS STORE DART DRUG THRIFTY DRUG GRAY DISCOUNT MONTGOMERY WARD AND SEARS.
Woolworths, Service Merchandise, Two Guys....
Lol, did they put these businesses out if business? Lol, jk
"the problem with cigars and cigarettes is the smoke"
Are we sure about that, Ron?
I used to think the rinestone machine was the hottest thing. I remember wanting to get one for my mom so when she sewed a new shirt (hey remember when people made their own clothes) for me she could add these.
Right
Set It Forget It!
Oh my God we had the shower bar, lol!!! Me and my sister begged for that friggin thing! Totally forgot about that.
RIP RON POPEIL...
Yup
I'd like to have that salad spinner!
+Rob LaRosa I'd wish i was that Sit-On Trash Compactor, the one in which that hot bikini chick was sitting on at 4:38!!
Rob L Had one. Surprisingly it was pretty nice.
Dude, the ashtray on the car dash!!! 💯
Happy Mother's Day RUclips Followers!
Some of this stuff actually worked well.
Right. 🤭
@@luisreyes1963 You read the sarcasm, lol.
Ahhh, my Mom had a Tidie Drier and a bulky big one!
Like a rhinestone cowboy
Stud Setter makes everyone look like Cher in the '70s
How about the ever so popular "Ronco Booger Picker"
Ron Popeil looked like Freddie Mercury!

So for a Hundy, you can get your Xmas shopping done
Who's Excited Super Bowl LV
All these products can be found today at your local thrift stores and salvation army.
To this day, people still use a good ole' tape measure for most jobs.
Did they came out with an salad spinner in the 1990s
Did Ronco ONLY advertise before Xmas? All the ads end with "a perfect Xmas gift for everyone".
Nope. It was just when people purchased stuff a lot of low priced stuff. Before the FCC lifted the ban on add > 1 minute, Ronco and Ktel was what you saw on late night TV ads.
1:31 RIP Headphone users
I would just tell them to take there asses outside and smoke
Why do you need your undergarments dry in a hurry? And who rubs their clothes on their cheek?
My parents had the smokeless ashtray. It was useless. Ronco didn't say anything about the smoke they blew out of their mouths.
How about the kichen magician
Pants. Shows shorts,lol.
These kids now days wouldnt touch fishing rod today all they want to do is play with there phones and game consoles
