Loving the gauges! My ND1 makes 290 whp or roughly 330-340 at the flywheel. I can’t imagine adding another 100 hp. But, I just started a 400 hp build on my 1990 so I will find out soon enough. Thanks for the ride!
How hard is it to get around 300hp out of a Miata? Just curious bc my mom’s friend has like 5 of them and will sell me one for extremely cheap. I’m more of a motorcycle guy and like trucks but depending on how much money it would take and how much work, I’d love to have a 300hp Miata
@@josephlilley9249 Probably looking from anywhere 5-10 grand for 300 hp crank. Depends how good your fab skills are
@@josephlilley9249 Also depends what year. Youll have to upgrade a lot less to take the horsepower on a 6 sped 99-05, rather than having to upgrade trans, diff, and axles on a 89-93
The cool thing about these little cars is the factory motor with no mods can handle up to I think 250whp, of course your trans and diff probably won’t live that long if you have a 5 speed with 1.6 diff so it’s always best if your planning on going turbo to put in the 1.8 driveshaft and diff with the 6 speed from an nb then your good for about 500hp

Idk a whole lot about working on cars, but I’m here bc I’ve thought about getting a Miata lol. My moms lawyer friend literally has like 5 of them and she would sell me one for extremely cheap but I know they aren’t necessarily fast but the only way I’d want it is if I could at least get 300 to 350 horsepower out of it considering I’m sure with how lightweight the car is, it would be a beast.

Even without all the extra power it is very much worth driving. It handles so well you don’t even realize you’re only going 45 on back roads

not currently unfortunately. Actually sold it for another upgrade. This one I am keeping and will be sure to show the rear end!

I think the NB is better all around if you're dailying at the cost of being heavier
I daily a 1990 NA and I'd never part with it but I'm thinking of also getting an NB later
Chalk it down to preference because you literally can't go wrong NA or NB
