If the lights cut in and out when you touch or move it then its probably a bad connection. You can try cleaning the port. Moisture can cause corrosion/rust on the terminals. Use Q-tips soaked in vinegar. If its really corroded you may need to scrape it with a metal pick of some sort like a small flathead screwdriver, tweezers, really anything small enough to get in the hole.
