Hello my wife and I have just started our journey and are on the egg bank selection portion. When I see the amount y’all had spent that seems to also fit our budget cost. For that price was it a single lot of eggs? I see a lot that only offer a multiple lot plans, and we would like to know if one could also work. Thank you and congratulations on your boys it’s truly such a blessing!
Im not sure how to answer your question. We used an egg donor and did one retrieval from her. We paid for all the eggs for ourselves to increase our odds. It was a fresh donation, not from a frozen egg bank. The more eggs you can get, the better your odds are of success. I’m not familiar with single lot and multiple lot but whichever gives you the most would be the best option. Hope that helps!

Absolutely! Our pleasure. Happy to help anyone wanting ot pursue a journey. Best of luck to you and your partner! Happy Holidays to you and yours as well! ❤
You have to have all the money ready to go but you can separate the earlier parts until you do. For instance, you can do the egg retrieval and freeze embryos me then take a break and wait for the surrogacy component, but for the most part, you need all the money ready for a smooth process. You pay as the process proceeds so it’s not all upfront but you’ll be paying every week or two as required. There will be a payment schedule to be followed via an escrow company.
Yes, they provided us with all that information about our donor and much more as well. We knew a lot about her family and their medical history and appearance as well (height, weight, eye color, hair color, occupation, etc.).
I went the Eastern European route, which is much cheaper (about a third of the price). However, what I had not reckoned on was how much I would have to pay British lawyers to get him home and to get a parental order. That will cost another £30,000. An unjustified and extortionate expense IMO.
I was thinking about being a surrogate and i dont think I'll go through with it. I think more awareness needs to be brought to the health of the surrogate and especially the baby. I have suffered from attachment disorder and I don't want to perpetuate it, which surrogacy does. I'm not sure if someone without a womb could ever get the sacredness around carrying a child. My heart breakes for childless couples but pls consider parentless children. Especially if you can't have a full genetic child anyway.
I am in Jupiter, FL and I am interested to know what agency you used. I have just been told I am not able to have children (while actively trying for the past year). I feel very very overwhelmed!
We were able to use her insurance because her policy didn’t have a surrogacy exclusion, which most do, so we lucked out. We did pay all copays for prenatal after IVF clinic and once boys were born they were put on our insurance for NICU stay and we had to pay some of her birth fees as well but we had a primary and secondary policy which covered our boys completely. That NICU bill was more than the entire surrogacy process so it’s worth having good insurance.
I have a few questions hopefully they can get answered My sister is willing to carry my baby if I’m not able to but I want to use my egg and my husband’s sperm with that said is the process more expensive or less as well do I have to pay everything up front or dose is it by payment methods if possible
The entire process. Again, this was back in 2019-2020. It has increased a bit from that figure and it all depends on how successful your process is first time around. We know of people who have spent twice that and still don't have a baby, so luck plays into it as well.
Well i know its expensive and ive already done so much research so i do onow that expenses vary. Since i am so young i can be saving now so that i dont have to push so hard when im ready to have kids. But still EVERY SINGLE TIME I HEAR THE PRICE MY HEART!!!! MY CHEAP HEART!!!! IT HURTS!!!! SO BADD!!!!🤣😭

How did you both afford this?! We are trying to start are family and we are going to need an egg donor and gestational carrier. Without taking out a loan we are going to be saving up for years to accomplish this goal.
Hi there! We saved for quite a bit and we did pull the rest from equity in our home. It was the only feasible way without having to wait a century to save it all. We were lucky to have a home we bought early before marriage that had a good amount of equity.
We have an idea based on how they look, but we haven't done any testing, and its just not something we really need to do. We love them both equally, so it doesn't matter. :)
Hi there this video is so helpful!!! Me and my husband are actually discussing about the cost now. And this sets an expectation. Thank You!!! I have question tho, i wanted to ask things for clarification. Not sure if i understand it correctly, so you two where the sperm donors right, like 1 of each and then 1 egg donor. Form 2 embryos with each of y’alls sperm and injected to 1 surrogate only? When i ask our agency they said they cannot do that it has to be 2 different surrogate. So it is possible to have 1 surrogate carrying the twins?
Yes, that is exactly how we did it. One egg donor, we are both the sperm donors, using one surrogate. Not all clinics will follow through with this because there is always a small chance of a split and you can end up with triplets or quadruplets if they both split. Multiple births are also more risky and increase your chances of a NICU stay, which happened to us. Our hospital bill was about $150k, so make sure you have good insurance to cover all, if not most of this. Hope that was helpful!
Thx for sharing this. For somebody who can afford this budget. its fine. Personnelly i can afford for that but as a humanright activist aswell i think life should be easier for everybody. It shouldnt be a business. Anyways i am happy for both of you. you guys deserved that ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 sending love from Thailand.
@@elenarey6375 She grew them inside her, yes, but they were first created and then transferred into her uterus with donated eggs. She’s not biological to them. What’s your point?
For people panicking you need to understand that this should inspire you to have good credit because of good credit you can get loans and you won’t have to pay this out-of-pocket, so what can your credit go to college?be successful and have a credit I just overall just have a credit because w good credit you can get loans and what have you and you won’t have to pay all the stuff. Just a word of advice …
I am not an especially healthy person, but I got working lady bits I’m not using. Apart from any medical costs, I wouldn’t want any compensation to give a loving couple the child they’ve always wanted. Got nothing else going on in my life, so if you’re looking for an oven, I got one ;)
@@TheMarzoaFamily to be honest, it’d be REALLY nice to not get cramps for a few months too… whenever I don’t get my uterus pregnant, it throws a massive hissy fit and hurts like a b :P
Hi guys Thanks for a great video, how many cycles did your donor do? Can you explain how much it would have been if you had to do multiple transfers with multiple embryos?
It all worked out for us on first and only cycle and first transfer as well. We had three tries with our clinic plan and I believe additional tries would be about $10k as long as we have usable embryos.
We wanted someone local to us so we can take part in the entire process and go to clinic and doc appointments and be close enough so we could be attend birth, which we did. Worth every penny in our minds. Everything changes once you leave the country as well. Much more complex for paperwork, citizenship, etc. and that wasn’t what we wanted. :)
I feel SICK to my stomach at that price. My god I'm impressed by your commitment to building your family. This is the path my fiancee and I are hoping to take. I should have had a bottle of wine like you said.
Muchas gracias! Nuestros hijos no tienen precio. Este video es solo para ayudar a otros que desean emprender un proceso similar al de nosotros! Gracias por su cariño y apoyo! ❤❤
Definitely can get much worse if you have multiple failed attempts. We had issues with egg donors but they were during selection process. Had we proceeded with one of those donors, we would have had costly issues. Also, it’s very important to have good health insurance for surrogate and for one of dads at minimum, which will kick in once they’re born. We got hit with over $150k in medical bills but our health insurance and supplemental covered everything minus a few expenses. Best of luck!

Got it this was helpful.
Did they explain those risk before you guys decided to have 1 surrogate for both?
Also last question was your surrogate a known friend or from the agency as well. Thaaaanks again and more power to your fam!

Thx for sharing this. For somebody who can afford this budget. its fine. Personnelly i can afford for that but as a humanright activist aswell i think life should be easier for everybody. It shouldnt be a business. Anyways i am happy for both of you. you guys deserved that ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 sending love from Thailand.
can the surrogate woman take back the child if she wishes to in future ?
No, she cannot. She is not biological to them. She was their gestational carrier only, meaning no biological tie, just the oven for them to grow in.
@@TheMarzoaFamily pregnancy is a biological tie, she made those babies. You just paid.
@@elenarey6375 She grew them inside her, yes, but they were first created and then transferred into her uterus with donated eggs. She’s not biological to them. What’s your point?
So, total cost??
It's right there in the video! You can also checkout the breakdown on our blog: www.themarzoafamily.com/post/cost-of-surrogacy
Yes! Credit is very important to upkeep and maintain becuase without it, we would not have our children! You are 100% correct! :)
just got to say WOW
Yeah it’s insane, we know. ❤️
thank you for this. i must start working overtime now lol.
You got this!
This was helpful
I am not an especially healthy person, but I got working lady bits I’m not using. Apart from any medical costs, I wouldn’t want any compensation to give a loving couple the child they’ve always wanted. Got nothing else going on in my life, so if you’re looking for an oven, I got one ;)
Bless your heart. You are a beautiful soul and we appreciate your offer very much! ❤️
@@TheMarzoaFamily to be honest, it’d be REALLY nice to not get cramps for a few months too… whenever I don’t get my uterus pregnant, it throws a massive hissy fit and hurts like a b :P
wow that is EXPENSIVE !!!!! But those babies are sooooooooooooooooooooooo cute
Worth every penny! ❤ Thank you!
Parece que mi sueño de ser papa difícilmente se hará realidad con esos precios, con eso compro una casa.
Cost makes me want to 😭
I want to have my own children thru surrogacy
That's wonderful! Start planning, its a process that takes 2-3 years at a minimum. ❤❤
You guys could've hired a surrogate in Georgia in Europe. Even though you'd have to fly there, it still would've been more affordable.
Прекрасные дети, хорошие родители! Привет из России!
Hello right back to you! Thank you!
I feel SICK to my stomach at that price. My god I'm impressed by your commitment to building your family. This is the path my fiancee and I are hoping to take. I should have had a bottle of wine like you said.
It definitely was not easy and took years of planning and saving and loans, which were still paying, but worth it for the outcome.
@@TheMarzoaFamily I promise you, it may take a decade (we are 32) but when it's official I'll come back to this comment!
Mucho $ , pero tienen unos niños hermososss, y uds son unos excelentes padres😍😍💕🙏
Muchas gracias! Nuestros hijos no tienen precio. Este video es solo para ayudar a otros que desean emprender un proceso similar al de nosotros! Gracias por su cariño y apoyo! ❤❤
To be honest, was expecting worse!! Not that it isn't still daunting!!!
@The Marzoa Family
What insurance did you have?
So all in all you paid nowhere near 150k?
I wanna try this, I wanna help a family who's can't make a baby surrogate mothers are a blessing
You are amazing and I’m sure will be an incredible blessing for a family! ❤️
