- Just a quick look at my black Friday haul.
Decided to switch from megasquirt to Fuel tech, this video is part why, part unboxing, mostly rambletron.

I'm 1/3 ways through my MS3X build. The support has been, well, they eventually answer. I got stalled trying to figure out if I need a pull-up resistor. Waited a week. Waited a week for my forum to get posted. Had to stop and put it all away as it was taking up needed workspace. Then come to find out they don't provide the resistor I need in the build kit because it's only _sometimes_ required. Then find out I have to spend nearly $20 to get their 'kit' of resistors shipped to me. For a 10 cent part. Sorry about the rant. :)

Nice video. I tapped out an Ms3pro and expanders and just went FT600.
How do you like the ft600
@@bigray3360 after running it now all season, I really like it. Still learning how to use the data presented in the log and developing tuneups for different surfaces but all in all I really like the platform, software and tech support
Thought you would have gone with a Haltech Elite lol. Fueltech gets the job done safely. Wished they just bundle packaged their stuff as an option.
I looked at haltech, but the dash sold me.

Im on microsquirt v3 now,but want to upgrade....im on a motorcycle so dont need much more,but would like options to do traction control or boost by speed or gear,which I need atleast a ms3x....there about 800....I use my phone/tablet for display....but a digital display...like yours would be 😎....I've been split between ms3x and maxxecu...but ill check out fuel tech too....looking forward to you setting up....yea Christmas 🎄
Yeah definitely look into it, and don't be afraid to contact fueltech and ask their advise directly.

Videos are behind, I've been tuning already, it's crazy how the same boost and timing feels completely different.
@@StovallsGarage BRO it's that VE tuning. Remember whatever you do to the engine size needs to be input in the engine setup. Enjoy
I went FT450 too my guy as of 5-4-22👍 i got the Nano and widband 02 sensor as well. Next is the ft A harnesss, sensors and so on. Check my latest video
you're gonna love it.
The closed loop EGO control with the nano is unreal , I've gotten so comfortable with it's ability I went from +/- 1 or 2 % accuracy with target fuel to like 6 to 10% knowing the closed loop will pull everything inline lol.
The only real benefit is the display because ft450 has less outputs and inputs than even a megasquirt3x more so the ms3pro which is the 1k dollars unit that is also waterproof ...
not the only... but it did drive my decision the most. also after 5 months, I can also say I like FT manger much better than Tuner studio and the FT log viewer, also being able to make adjustments via the display. but yes the number of inputs and outputs is kind of a problem even on a basic install, I wish I had got the 550 instead.
Ill be watching this very closely....Factory Mazda Protege engine management has to go at some point.....

I'm thinking of making the switch i have a ms3x here to wire in but feeling like going Fuel tec . My car now still on a old school ms1 went 10.9 on stock engine hyundai tiburon no 2step . What do you do with your Escort like drag race ? i like unique builds/cars so ill sub
Dragrace, wouldn't mind getting into some road racing, but for now im focused on going for 10s. Best time so far is 11.5 @121 best trap so far was 125 on 30psi but the 60' was horrible.

@@PATuners it's a built engine, rods, pistons, oil pump. BPs like to bend rods past 350. I really need to stop being a wuss and just crank it up, should be good to over 600 just need a bigger turbo.

what is 3 step
Part of the 2 step , basically a more aggressive 2 step to light the turbo faster, then once target boost is reached it switches over to normal 2 step and maintains that boost.
