Hi Andrew, thanks for watching and commenting too. It was great to get an impromptu interview with the pilots and see the flight deck. Hi Antony, Thanks for commenting here. Heres the answer to your Qs, 1) I cant really say much about the TVs because I normally work on my laptop when i travel, even if its on a 'holiday charter' although this was a scheduled flight. I saw others watching the films, and there seems to be a selection of good films, but thats only my own take on it, your's may vary from mine, so please bear that in mind. The only think i normally have on all the time is the map, as I do a bot of filming on the plane from various locations, always ask the crew whenever I do this, so they know what im. up to and always offer to interview any of the crew who are up for that, which is why i dont do much of the TV, as im always working on edits from other stuff on my laptop, but to sort of answer your question, the TVs are an ok size. 2) No, but you do get a cushion. If its a night flight you get blankets as well. If you book premium economy (not worth it in my opinion, since its a 2-3-2 layout, so not much extra width that is noticable, plus the extra legroom is nothing like going business class on other airlines (as I have flown quite a few times on business class - still to post up videos of these flights) and tui offer packs for premium economy, however, if you buy your own before going (and save a few hundred per person by not going premium economy) book your seat in the back, and dont chosse your own seats, you can save quite a lot. The socks, tooth brush and other stuff, you can buy yourself for under a fiver. Hope that helps. Do check out my other TUI videos however, as they will show you different view points, plus also do check out the Sargassum video I did, as I understand it is a huge problem now on Mexico's Carribean coast. Hi Jamie, thanks for watching and your comment as well. I know these routes very well. Depends on your budget. On 14 days holiday there are still seats on the GLA - CUN flight departing 16th June, after this the price rockets. There's approx 20% seats left on this. The BA flights are more expensive. If your going through BA Holidays a lot more expensive for what is basically the same type of hotel, albeit a different option that TUI. TUI are the cheapest, relatively, that is. Their hyper inflated prices are marketing BS. Best advise I can give you is get the total cost of your booking and divide that number by the number of days and then divide that number again by the amount of people. That will give you a very good comparison for checking other similar holidays which are over different durations. As a rough guide I would say £2,500 over 14 days A.I. basis 4 star for 2 people is excellent. As a bench mark the Riu Lapita was going for 2 people in June 2022 for 14 days 2 people A.I basis for £1,800 and now its going for almost 500 to 600 higher. TUI group CEO said earlier this year that demand was higher and so their holidays would increase by around 35%, but just hold off if you can and have everything packed and ready, as if they cannot sell out a full aircraft they will offer last minute discounts. The sales reps will push as much as they can but that's to put bums on seats. Stick to your guns on this and you will get an excellent deal. Also please do check and read at least 10 pages of reviews for eCh Hotel your looking at. The Fives resort in Playa Del Carmen looked nice but gets some really concerned reviews. I know Mexico and especially Riviera Maya really well, so please do your research first, as you will most often know more than the travel agent. Hope that helps. Thanks, Colin.
Also adding a reply to my reply, as I forgot to say, consider flight only options with tui, for GLA option for £279 per person. Consider only hand luggage and don't chose seat options, as cost is kept low. Also then look at your own airport transfers and book Airbnb, put £1k in budget for eating and you can get a cheap holiday. Also plenty of connections to MEX from CUN as well so can go further. Mexico City is safe and fantastic. Please check out my other Mexico videos on my travel playlist as it gives all options and info. Hope that helps too. Thanks, Colin.

I was very lucky to get the Captains to chat with me bearing in mind I was the last PAX on the plane. All the crew were very accommodating. I wonder what reason TUI are not taking on papa. I know after kilo it was all 787-9 aircraft. Thanks, Colin.
Hi and thanks for watching and commenting here! Couple of factors to consider, your time and money getting to the airport, as I do t know where your living, difficult to say, but Manchester has had some issues in the past. BA aren't what they used to be, however saying that, I believe getting the BA plane will get you in a bit later to Cancun in the day, meaning you arrive at your hotel later too. Aircraft choice, I would chose the B777, I actually just flew in a B777-200 Air France 8 weeks ago, and it was nice, although I was up front in row 4 which was nice and got a flat bed to sleep in. It's still a good plane but an older one which makes no difference from a safety point. The B787 will be the B787-9 version a slightly longer version than the B787 ( I've got a separate video on this and I interviewed the captain on the flight deck, please do consider watching this too) I'm not sure of the flight times but I think it's a morning departure which is better. Just avoid row 38 i think it is on the tui dreamliner as one of these rows doesn't have a window, I know it's on the smaller version, check seat guru for this info which is quite helpful. Also before you go do watch my other video The Big Sargassum Problem as riviera maya has a massive seaweed issue. Some placed reportedly have less seaweed, however its something that most travel agents keep quiet about. Hope this info helps, but if it came down to choice I'm an old school guy so the B777 for me. You do get the main meal and then afternoon tea on the long haul flights such as this flight to Cancun, however I would recommend (if you can) either buy a cheap meal deal from the super market the day before and take it through security (which is allowed), that way you can beat the ridiculous mark up on food at the airport. I hear Greggs are making a come back to Glasgow Airport, but I dont know the prices. Last time they were excellent, which was over a decade ago. Failing taking your own food through security or buying the expensive "meal deal" sandwiches at the airport, then purchasing a hot meal on the plane is an option. They are OK. Thanks, Colin.
