- Did you know you could make some money from your garden without ever having to sell your harvest? It's true.
Eight years ago, I googled "how to make a living as a gardener". The top options-turning my backyard into a garlic farm or a plant nursery-just weren't for me. So I came up with something that would allow me to be my own boss and teach my gardening knowledge.
Becoming a garden consultant changed my life forever, and I've never had to sell my garden harvests. Here are the steps YOU can take to make a living from your garden, starting right now.

I just love these long introductions, I really do. Hearing all the details that are unrelated. I guess some of us have more time than others. The best part is you know hearing everything that does not work. Thank you , you are the only one teaching others how to garden. You are the best.
Thanks for sharing, I really enjoy gardening as well 😊
I love these ideas. I wish I were 20 years younger. As much as I love to garden myself and my gift is teaching. Lets face it, I'm going to be 69 I already have a small sewing business and although making money through my gardening sounds very intriguing I dont know if I would be spreading myself to thin.
The next generation could really ise your knowledge.
hi my name is teddy, i just subscribe to your channel i LOVE IT. i am 22 year old florist. i go to college for business management. My dream is to own a flower shop
If you can't make money from your own garden then the knowledge you have is not that useful. But you can still sell it and make money.
I've never tried to sell my harvest, nor have I been motivated & committed enough to attempt farmer's markets. HOWEVER, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances ask me for garden advice EVERY YEAR. My friends consider me their vegetable garden expert, and I give them advice & mentor them all the time. Why not charge for this service, while continuing to harvest & preserve my own produce for my own family?
@@kelliwood3360 That is what my post stated. Good on you. None of the people you advice grow food for money. Pleasure gardening is a huge market.
This video almost brought me to tears. I've been daydreaming about how to start a garden consulting business for 3 or more years! 🥹 I am finding myself in a similar situation to you when you started, where I want to retain the flexibility and time to be with my children, work from home on my own schedule, well doing something fun that I love and can bring in (eventually) meaningfully income. 💚
This is your sign!
@@Gardenary after we apply for an invite, how long do we wait to hear something? I applied last week, but only got an email saying you received it. 🙂
