Oldest operating as in containing the oldest operating parts of any Riblet lift. Still, the lattice structure at the top terminal is quite cool, I like that Mt. Hood Ski Bowl still operates a fleet of 100% Riblets.
Really the only major parts of the original Upper Bowl lift that are missing on this one are the 4 lattice towers. To my mind, this is just the same lift with 1970s towers added in, but you could also see it as a newer lift reusing parts of an older one.
The original Upper Bowl was a 1949 installation if you check Ski Bowl’s history page. I believe this is the oldest operating Riblet.

you only love it because you visit lol. Eventually ski bowl will be Lower Timberline and maybe we will get some quicker lifts.@@sorenjones
