this helped a lot with my a7iii and my pc running windows 10. the issue for me was the quality of cable i was using. i switched it up and everything worked perfectly. thank you!

No problem at all, I would say the lens doesn’t really matter. The quality should be way better already, but if I could recommend something would be a f1.8 of depth of field. Get the blur background. It will definitely make you stand out.

Yes, uninstall and re install the sony program. And start the camera, start the program and connect the cam with a good usb c cable. mine works now@@OutdoorChroniclesPodcast

I can connect and view a7iii following these steps (can view image on remote viewer), however when i go to setting in Zoom under camera options all i get is1. Integrated webcam or 2. OBS virtual camera. No option for A7iii? Any ideas whats going wrong?

try to follow teh steps and if some message pop up go to the setting and turn on or off... if you follow what i did you should be able to make this work.

And now connecting with USB C to my PC, the camera gets stuck on "Connecting..." with the USB symbol below it with arrows. Did I miss something in the settings? Please help!
Such a joke that Sony can't keep up with the Mac. Not available on current OS? I thought Sony was an innovative multinational, guess I was wrong. It's like the software is written by interns when it comes to the Mac.

Wait so the quality was full 1080p and what frame rate? I’ve seen other people get a weird 1024x576 quality. What USB-c cable are you using?
Just a regular usc c to usb c from my SSD the quality is better then regular webcam for sure but can’t tell you if is 1080

I just use as a camera holder but was from my ring light that i got from amazon.
With latest macos Ventura 13, latest Zoom and latest Sony Firmware it's not possible, this feature disappeared. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I restarted my PC and the camera but no change. I also tried different USB ports.
In between when it worked and didnt work I changed the autofocus setting for video but I dont imagine that would change anything
