He's entertaining on the mat, and he knows how to make content. And no one has ever done that with wrestling. The wrestling community is a very loyal one. Not a huge community, but a very devoted one. He checks off a bunch of things: hard worker, highlight reels, funny/interesting quotes, great content, knows how to grow social media presence, etc. Wrestlers have wanted a guy like that to follow and support forever.
One of the things that makes bo so interesting is his account is well managed. Second his wrestling style is entertaining. Third he's got a professional personality. Fourth he looks like an everyday kid. He's not muscle-bound, and his approach is something that everybody can look at and feel like they can do it too.
It’s easy to look good when you are wrestling on average kids 5 years younger than you 😂. And yes he does opens but only when the third string is wrestling and he should be able to keep up with them he is 18 years old in 10th grade 😂 he should be a freshman or sophomore in college 😂
@@adirondackgrower3320what are u talking about. Stop lying. He’s 17 and just beat 19 year old Aden Valencia. He’s not beating 12 and 13 year olds like you claim. What is your beef?
I have a lot of respect for ANY high school wrestler who can consistently compete and win at a high level, is dedicated to their craft, and is a positive role model to the next generation. Sadly, too many bad attitudes in youth sports these days. I'll always praise a guy that can be a role model to look up to off the mat just as much as on it! Also, on the IOWA v PSU debate they touched on - I think it's different in PA because College sports are still fairly regionalized by the area of the state. Yes, PSU is the dominant follow. However, Lehigh and PITT have very passionate regionalized fan bases. Yes, IOWA has plenty of great college programs, but I think an Northern Iowa fan could/may still root for the Hawkeyes b/c its good wrestling and you want the whole state to do well. Can't say that PITT or Lehigh fans would equally root for PSU )or vise verse) in the same way.
Bo gotta make that money 💰 in college and invest it in land and a 🏠 house. Guy's gonna be 18 and already pay of his car and house and have enough money for some land.
Ben Davino has wins over, Forrest, Blaze, Knox, Larkin, Gibson, Marc Anthony, to name a few, there is no one in high school that has beat more big names and one more big tournaments than Davino and you guys consistently ignore him.
To be fair he has also lost to a lot of these guys too, plus lost in bassets super 32 bracket. Bros cracked for sure and would kick my ass but it’s not like he’s way better than these guys. Deserves the hype nonetheless though.
@@Person48579 Davino does not cut weight and he jumped up for that bracket. That being said, Davino still has far more victories over big names than anyone else.
@@Person48579 Davino is elite as Bassett was the point I think but does not get the same attention, not even close. But I think its because Bassett and his Dad are good at marketing him not some hidden bias by Flo.
Let's see the Zepeda rematch this year at WNO. now that they are the same size. No zepeda in sight at U20s finals or semis🤷. Bassett will tear him apart rn.
Because everyone thinks he is so dominant in high school but most would be like that at his age. He is a college age guy wrestling in high school and it’s ridiculous. He is the same age as most freshman in college yet he is barely passed being a freshman in high school. It’s the same as a top tier varsity guy going to a peewee tournament and talking about how great he is because he won😂

It’s the combo of all your saying and that he is willing to just be himself and share the journey with ups and downs.
It is insane how people talk about Bassett. Go look at the records of guys as they bump 30 lbs in high school. He's just that good.

I rooted for him because he was wearing a headgear when he didn't have to.
Yes I don’t know how Bo is always on my Facebook feed. He definitely feeds the algorithm
His name is easy and fun to pronounce because of the one syllable first name and the alliteration.
Plus he looks like a freakin teddy bear
