Great intro! Reminds me of something similar with BB King. He said he created his string bending technique because he wanted a "slide" sound, but couldn't get the slide to work for him.
Hi Anthony! I enjoyed this episode! What really made me laugh was when you picked up a wah wah pedal and used that as a slide! Ridiculous! Personally what I use is an old leaf spring from a car! Works great! Just a little heavy and rusty!
Everybody steals licks. Duane Allman got the lick for Layla from Eric Burdon/Albert King on As the Years Go Passing By. And he wasn't shy about telling people about it either.
Exactly lol... he dont wanna say that he stole the riff... if he stole it he stole it lol.. nobody can play SRV like SRV anyways so if he stole it.. its okay... people rip from SRV all the time...
Face palm all day and night bro...@@ebisu8824 you heard what I said... now if yall really wanna have a convo about SRV we can... but you prolly too sensitive to have it. SRV's whole thing is copied from Albert King... also he played relatively the same licks throughout his career... but yall not ready for that convo.
Absolutely. I've got a catalog of over 80 courses on various artists (including a lot of SRV and Hendrix) and an entire collection on technique alone. That intro looks like me every time I get the idea “i should try slide” 😂
The tone with that wah as a slide did it for me. I'm going to get the kirk Hammett wah. Look out muddy. Here I come😅
Incredible

Thanks for some pointers and a good laugh ❤
Awesome, 😅 great lick and hilarious .
I also regularly use my wah pedal as a slide
All the great players are doing it.
😂 great intro. The wah pedal sounded better as a slide compared to all the other stuff, I think.
Wow, really cool insight for that SRV lick! Thank you

🤣
It's funny about the intro, John Mayer has some videos around trying to get the slide sound without a slide and he is really good at it!
Great, funny, intro 😁
Love the stick to pop music response lol …
I bent a few slides before I got the gist of it. Btw, love me some Mr. Waters! Thanks!

Haha, love it
Hahah Great intro but you didn't try an 11/16" socket from your tool box.
Do you have lessons and/or tutorial courses for SRV and/or Jimi Hendrix style technics? If positive, how to access the lessons?
Absolutely. I've got a catalog of over 80 courses on various artists (including a lot of SRV and Hendrix) and an entire collection on technique alone. Take a look here:

Are those Texas Special pickups?
@TeaxasBluesAlley.
If we sign up for the locals program, do we get full access to all courses or are those an additional fee?
You get online access to every course I’ve ever made for as long as your membership is active.
Wow, Anthony do you have humor sense? It is new for me. It is pretty good fit to you. Yes it is cool.
Very funny.
Johnny Winter
Can you teach Robert Cray or Jimmie Vaughan?
😂😂
