She is right. The southern part of Luzon adds coconut milk to their adobo because you'll see coconut trees anywhere. Most of their dishes are with coconut milk. Adobo with coconut milk is more delicious than the regular adobo. Just my opinion though. You should try it, Nelly.

We’re Bicolanos, one of our versions of Adobo uses coconut milk and lots of sili! Adobo, is not just one thing, but has many versions around the Ph: saucy, dry, almost crunchy, sour, sweet, coconut milk-based, etc. Another version is CPA, not Certified Public Accountant but Chicken-Pork-Adobo. We also sometimes put coconut milk in it! There’s Adobong Dilaw (yellow - gelb) using turmeric instead of ginger root. Other places there’s Adobong Pula (red - rot). Delish und alles schmeckt gut!

I think Uncle roger needs more study about our food and culture also the girl is right fun facts: adobo is meant to be cooked with ( sabaw )soup or cooked like a stew with sometimes coconut juice or just soy sauce and venegar so that it feeds the whole family and can preserved for 3 days or 5 if it's stored in cold space like ( RIF ) Refrigerator we also use ( banga) or vase most part in the province, anyway still kinda have mix feelings for me and looks waste of ingredients every time I see dried adobo I don't even know where it came from that idea🤷‍♂also it's not needed marinate the meat since because you only have to do is leave it after the basics to cook the soup or stew along with ingredients until the meat absorbs the flavor and gives aroma sometimes we cook adobo for an hour so it brings tenderness of the meat also it's hard to wait until it cooks that perfectly for some occasions so chicken adobo usually cook than meat adobo because its fast to cook it but still hack way to cook adobo and came up various of ways its not bad either
