Rodian I take my hat off to you sir , from one bricky to another
great job Rodian!
Loving the advanced brickwork. More vids like this please. Keep up the great work.
Every day is a school day . Never done one or even seen how to do one . Didn’t even know what it is called . I’ve always called them Indian restaurant arches 😳Cracking build Rodian 👌🏼🧱👍🏽.
Are you putting a roof on it 😏😬😂
Indian restaurant 😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍
Indian restaurant arches 😁👍🏻🤣🤣🤣 Perfect!!!! Its something I've only done twice outside college. Couple of windows....looked good! I half talked the customer into having it done so I could do it 🤣 HELL NO I'm not putting a roof on it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Rodian Builds 😏🧱👍🏼
You are the best keep it up 👍👍👍
Nice job mate looks better with the old brick you can get away with bigger joints and it still looks great 👍👍👍 I like it 👍👍👍👍
The rustic bricks can deffo hide some flaws. I was dead happy with how it turned out......apart from the 2 parts I said about in the vid 👍🏻😁🧱
Interesting to see the maths behind bricklaying... Cool video
nice job rodian keep up the great work
Like others have said.. Would be interesting to know how strong this arch actually is. Great build though! Well done. And yes, learning how to cut "vosoirs"?? Would be welcomed video for a lot of people I'm sure!
Nice job mate... love the reclaims.. very rustic looking 👍
Nice job!! love the bricks ! Colors really look well together
I've always been a sucker for an old reclaim 👌🏼 Like how the yellow muck brings the colours out 😁🧱🧱
Great video, only seen this arch in a book, keep up the work brother 👊👌
Nice one, Rodian. That's a new one on me...never seen one of those before. I assume you have, and that's why you decided to build it! Must admit though, I'm not sure I would trust it as much as a standard arch to bear a lot of weight above it, it looks like a lot of the downward pressure would be on the "shoulder" of the arch.
Cracking feature though!
Great job! Loved it. I am so.... going to have a go at an ogee arch.
They are so much fun to build!!! 🤙🏼🧱
@@RodianBuilds have u ever done a parabolic arch m8? if so how to work out the vousioars ty
Cracking bit of work mate
Yes rodders another great one👍🏼 how I missed this from 8 mo this ago I don’t know. That would be a great fire place with oak mantle piece question is is that possible to do that ? 🧐
Fabulous
Well done mate.keep em coming
Cheers paul, will do 😁👍🏻
Nice looks great 👌
The halves at the top could have been whole brick to keep good bond. Good work from Alabama mason.
Ever seen an ogee arch drawn out. Would look amazing in voussoir’s then continue the header to a point maybe. If that works Great tutorial again 👍🏻
Cheers buddy. I think it would look infinitely better made with voissiors 😁🧱👍🏻
Nice help with the numbers dude bit of a bogus journey with the cuts next time make it an excellent adventure!!! Nice vids bro keep em coming
Awesome bud .iv never done one of them before or gothic arches
Cheers pal 😁👍🏻 Only ever done 2 outside college. Definitely a rare arch.
Nice job mate, good skills
Cheers buddy 😁👍🏻
Brilliant setting out knowledge! And brilliant video👍👍👍
Cheers pal 😁👍🏻🧱
Missed you x
Mint this man
Cheers Chris 😁👍🏻
Nice
when the mortar/muck sets on the arch the bricks create the keystone effect whatever arch shape is formed. good info enjoy the vidz ;)
It's like I'm in Morocco...
Great job I always taught every brick in an arch was a volsvar so am I mistaken
Mark you rightish.
An arch becomes a vouswa when each brick is slightly tapered meaning segments.or in English a segmental arch.
Yes do another won
I Don't Think I've Ever Seen an Ogee Arch in the Field. It Doesn't Look Very Strong. Some of Those Bricks Are Just Hanging there. It Reminded Me of Morocco or the Taj Mahal. Nice Video Though.
I've seen a couple on some old Tudor houses round my area. I've always been sceptical about the strength but they seem to hold up. Clever use of weight distribution, either that or its black magic 🤣
Vosoirs (I haven’t heard that word since college). I can’t even spell it 😬😬. Nice job though 👌👌
I dont think I've used that word in a while. You're pretty much spot on with the spelling just add an s in the middle 😁👍🏻🤣
Why didn't you just draw a square ?
Taj Mahal lol
