You need to have customer agreement forms. and forms before you even touch the car. Stating that they will have to pay and forms that you look over the car and have them sign before so that way if something is broken. they can't say you broke it
Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
Before we start any detail, we always have the client come out so we can discuss their concerns about their car then write up an invoice and have then sign it so we know we’re on the same page about what’s being done and the price. If they can’t be present, you send them a picture of the invoice and have them respond “agreed” in text before you get started. Also if they do run off after the detail, you have the signed invoice as proof for them agreeing to your service/price. Never had an issue with any clients doing it this way. Hope this helps

I work at a collision repair body shop in the paint department. I sand down dirt nibs with 1500, 3000 on a DA,( 5000 if it's a darker color) and then cut and buf. It's not hard. But there a few tips and tricks that's good to know before doing it. Black paint is a nightmare. I dig your videos man you are a hard worker
Back in the 1980's my brother & I had a detail business here in Tucson,Az. SS AUTO DETAIL..we weren't mobile back then..Our WORST customers were our own family..we stopped doing detail in 1995..
I have a shop up here in Canada and i've detailed cars like that! I normally charge a bit higher than the price you quoted. The most I got for a nasty interior detail was $800 CAD!
For This detail, $500 Minimum it's alot of work also. When you doubt your self on pricing that's when transitioning to the next level happens. I'll explain more on IG. (NEVER WORRY ABOUT NO ONE ELSE'S POCKETS BUT YOUR OWN).
Money is due apon arrival before work begins, the only time I don't is when I do huge pressure washing jobs for lik 5k, I have them pay me 50 percent of front and the other half after completion
I don't care what small business you run, Price must be discussed before hand! A written estimate/invoice with the customer signature is key before the work starts! Everybody makes this mistake starting out, the smart ones do not make that mistake again! Good luck! Loving the content! You're great on camera!
To get those hard stains out like that on the carpet and mats, I gut out the seats, center concel and take the carpet out of the car and soak and scrub it with super clean, then blow it off with the pressure washer It takes around 24 hours for it to dry especially if it has alot of padding under. it's worth it though. You can't beat the results. I do seats like that too seats take a little longer to dry. Especially if you put everything back inside to dry. I'm in Colorado so it drys pretty quick. If your in a dry climate it works great 👍
I don't do detialing anymore, but when I did, my process for setting prices was in this order ideally: customer reaches out to me they give me a brief explanation of what they want, condition of the car, type, etc. I get them to send over photos to my business number of current condition, then I build out my invoice using several templates because it was fairly standardized They agree to it or not, if they did, 50% down deposit via paypal, card, or cash (cheaper to avoid transaction fees) or sometimes they pay in full beforehand. I show up on agreed appointment, do the work, then either take pics or have them inspect physically and I do a brief walkthrough on everything I did as well as point out "troubled" spots that I managed to improve for them. It really solidifies the notion that you do quality work and you care about the client's vehicle.
Here in fresno california i do a complete detail were talking about complete interior paint correction n wax and dressing tires and plastics for $250 and big cars like vans or suburbans for $350
Your partner was right, $400 for just an interior like that here in Portland/Vancouver Metro. I used to “negotiate” or second guess my prices, but when cars are that pad the owners know they neglected it… easier to set the price commensurate to the neglect, or walk. The way I look at it, easier to do 2 average condition interiors for 200 each that fight unknown stains, have to explain why you could not get them all up, etc., etc. Too many good clients to fight the bad ones over nickels and dimes. In the end, this one worked out, but that would have been an easy explanation to get $400. Love the content, you do great work, don’t sell it short.
Try using shout advance set in stain(it’s a gel) and laundry product, but this product has never failed me from removing tough stains on car seats and carpet.
Ask for pictures of the car prior to booking. Any bookings involving soiled upholstery where I'll need to shampoo and extract, I offer different tiers based on work time. So if customer states they only want a basic shampoo and extraction, only 1 hour will be spent on their upholsteries. Based on pictures I'll tell them what package they'll need so there's no surprises on costs and I can manage bookings easier.
I use quick books for my business You can email the client the invoice and they can pay through that there is a little fee plus a monthly charge of 12.99 tho but still looks more professional and less hassle for you
I learned paint correction in my garage by myself. Easy stuff. Just make sure you find a grip for the polisher that keeps it flat. Make sure it stays flat. Dont wanna scratch the car. And watch for edges and slowly move over them with a motion that wont damage paint. Just pretty much buy a hood of a car. Or practice on your personal vehicle
That is one of the most truthful answers!!!! That’s how I learned. Went to a junk yard bought a hood off a car, taped it into sections and taught myself. Although, training classes and more training are always best.
@@jamescmartinjr7249 great minds think alike. I got free polishing classes at my local detail garage grand opening. So I am gonna use them even tho I do a good job already. Always room for improvement
Good job patience is what really pays! We sometimes take for granted the possibilities that lie ahead and the current lessons learned. So Bro just keep moving and GOD has a plan good stuff and stay lifted.
Have you ever thought about creating a check list where the customer checks the service they want and have to sign at the bottom of it? I think it would work. Apart from what they booked online
$180-230 for a Sedan in average condition. But yeah $350 is fine for this level of work needed, your pricing is valid! Keep up the good work! For paint correction just go out and mess with your vehicles and experiment if not buy a junk yard panel and see your limits.
I’m in Queens NY. All bookings are a 30% non refundable deposit from starting price, based on size of the vehicle. All clients are aware that the price will vary due to condition. Clients are able to reschedule once if they let me know in a 12hrs window advance from their scheduled time. When the weather is bad then that’s the exception. If we had to reschedule 3x, I usually offer them the refund unless they want to continue. Most of the time, they continue. My starting price is not the lowest or highest. The interior shampoo starts at $489.99. Been doing this since 2009, there’s nothing like Flex Bio( carpet solution ) & Flex Ice( in the water extractor ); and it’s cost efficient. Outside of that, I have three paint enhancements tiers. 1st Tier is Quick polish, I use a AIO like Rupes Uno or 3D Speed with a varies of pads depending on paint or the type of car make it is. Starts at $399.99 2nd Tier is a one step paint correction which removes a lot more than the previous tier. Removes more defect but doesn’t have a lot of shine like the previous tier. Price starts at $599.99. A nice sealant like Jescar Ultra Lock + or Meguiars M27 and 👌🏼. 3rd tier is a two step which removes 95-99% defect and brings back a lot of shine, with clarity. This starts at $799.99. All three tiers are always protected with two coats of protection. One sealant and one wax. For my last tier, I use Sonax polymer Netshield and their premium wax or Gyeon Can Coat and their Wax. There was times that I thought the car would need a two step and it ended up being a one step, when I saw the client; told them xyz because abc so this is why it’s less now. More than thrilled; some still gave me what the original price was, some gave me something in between. As far as speed wise, applying ultra lock + is fast and the wipe off is orgasmic. Flex Bio and Flex Ice…. Telling you bro, you will never go back to anything else. Only thing I would change is the extractor attachment for the Sapphire, makes extraction a lot more easy and faster. I found condoms and embarrassing things but I havent brought it up to the client since I did twice. It makes it awkward for them. I found needles and drugs, at this moment; it’s a biohazard…. The price just went up to $1,399.96. Hope this helps. Happy Detailing
Also signing contracts could double as the receipt for repeat customers…. I had a client flake on a event I dj’ed and from that event on everyone except close family signs contracts
Oh yea I’ve had a situation happen and a guy didn’t wanna pay. And kept waiting and kept pressuring him. Remember you always have their address to approach them directly. Needless to say finally got paid.
I've been doing mobile detailing for 25 years we charge anywhere from $800 to 1200 for paint correction wet sanding three step buff sealants ceramic coats graphene coatings of course is a lot more looking about $2000 you on the west coast so you can charge a lot more that's where detailing started out California
Dont waste your money on any paint correction classes. Just go out to the junk yard and find a black painted door or hood and practice on that. Save your money. It's easier than you think. Also, I wouldn't even have done that vehicle. I would of been around $500-$600 for it especially if I had to cancel/reschedule the next appointment.
@thelastm A lot of people tend to over think it. Find the right pad/compound for the paint your working with (all vehicles are different) tape the edges and rubber trim and just go. Comes down to pressure and speed after that. I have been paint correcting for 15+ years. I'm not saying I know it all either. Just people like to overthink it when it's way 0easier than they think.
I started practicing just hopped on dads 98 black blazer using griots g9 buffer their yellow buffing pad with their complete compound and finish with their red waxing pad with their one step sealant turned out like glass didnt burn through looks awesome definitely took a minute to get the right rhythm but after that its just time and concentration
You should do a video and recommendations for mobile detailing. Like what to wear, shoes, hats. And tips for getting business and how to talk to customers. Love the work Wayne! Detail on homie 🙏🏽
Nice work, its definitely hard work to, that's why I pay to have my vehicles done, I just get the basic vac, wash, dry, arm, I pay 120, for both my car and truck.
I have a detailing job that I’m doing myself in South Dakota, I charge $100 for inside and out on bigger vehicle, and only $75 for smaller vehicles and $35 extra for carpet cleaning. I have gotten very good reviews from every customer, I just face very low prices.
I’m surprised you guys don’t take the seats out of the car. All you need is a rachet and socket set. A breaker bar. Torque wrench. Blue lock tite. Maybe a small parts bin to hold the 8 bolts. Makes shampooing and cleaning interiors way easier
The other thing is networking and warning other detailers about people who don’t pay, I’ve had several detailers warn me about people who requested expensive jobs but avoided paying over half when they paid.
My sister has a janitorial business and long story short.. we deep cleaned a 5 bed 5 bath home for 8 hours and since we started cleaning the lady couldn’t be satisfied no matter what we did. The price we told her from the jump was about 700 I think and she was sayin she could only pay 200 cuz now she has to spend money to get another cleaning crew in to clean… AFTER WE JUST CLEANED FOR 8 HOURS. We ended up putting together terms of service to put on the website as a binding contract so if something like that happens again it becomes a legal issue💯
and that why i would carry some carpet paint if you had some grey paint you could hit those stubborn spots after your done if the owner agrees and it would look like new!
Currently dealing with a loyal customer who recommends me to all her family and friends BUT she loves to try and talk me down. This is only my side gig as I’m active duty military. Long story short I gave her a deal on her large SUV and now she expected me to charge even less for her daughters car that is smaller. Even after explaining that I gave her a huge discount on a paint correction package and I can’t do the same for all of her family members she still is trying to negotiate. Lesson learned. Don’t adjust pricing for no ONE even if your are just starting out like me. The money is not worth the hassle. Especially for someone like me who is not a very “conflict person”
I love the channel! Great job man. I do have an idea for you though. In your app or someplace have people send you pictures of the car. Inside and out. This can help you quote a bit better before you get there, and also plan ahead.

I have not seen you detail seat belts (might just not be on camera). But pull them out, and use a clamp to keep extended, and scrub and steam them to get that extra clean feeling!
You can also pull them out and pressure wash them too to really get them clean and fast. The ends inside I use a tornador with apc and microfiber. Just let em hang to dry.
I’m $300 starting at and I would upsell this job to about $350 and if that say we’ll that’s too much. I just throw in a quick wash and just a wax and 10/10 they would be like ok great. But where I live household incomes is almost 6 figures to almost 7. So how I made almost 75k this year by my self is having my wealthy clients configure my prices. And it has helped me grow tremendously
Hunter I usually charge 500 to 600 if not keep it moving if customer trys to get it cheaper that my final price its the time you put into it as always be safe God bless William from extreme optimum auto detailing pr
Just saw your video and I agree discuss the price before hand. It’s human nat to try and get the most for less but you have to be firm and it they don’t agree on to the next client. Would it be easier to have them pay you through Venmo or the cash app ? Or have one of those small credit card unit to take their card. Cash is always king though.
Lesson learned like you said price should always be upfront first.. I don't care if they do got alot of money hell some rich people might tell you I got u and don't pay you that day u no I got.. Yo bills never stop coming!
Calvin Car Wash and Detail on a car like that I normally charge between $275 or $350 especially when you have to cancel another job to do that job you lose their money like that so I try to upcharge to make up for what I miss
If they don't pay after a certain time sell it off to collections btw good work! Where you from man? Ill.have to come where your at to get a detail lol
I would suggest writing contracts and having the clients sign the contract before starting your service, that way they can’t say they didn’t agree to the price.
I just keep the car keys till they pay because what they gonna do ? You got the keys and they have what you want it be a even trade, but you shouldn’t fight with a customer if you tell them the price and everything and they agreed to it
A card on "file" through your App may be an option... Puts a hold on the funds and details the work to be done at what price. As a landscape contractor regular clients maintain a card on file and know which day the card will be charged for the scheduled work. Not to mess up your CASH Hustle, but going completely paperless and funds are automatically placed in your business account is hassle free and insures you will always get paid your agreed price for work. Continue to increase your knowledge and stay Blessed!!! (Knowledge is the Real Power). PS: The online SBA (Small Business Administration) has great information on all aspects of operating a business.
If its alot of money for a job ask for half up front or before you finish half way through tell the customer to look at your and if it meets their satisfaction, if it does not stop because you may not get paid.

Highly recommend the torq10fx for a polished to start out with! Super easy to use, lightweight and affordable
When I seen that Quick Quack wrapper in their car I knew you brothers were based out of Sacramento. 👍👍👍👍
This is what I like watching for inspiration. Small businesses growing and progressing. Good content, cheers from South Africa bro.
Nice job! You sir are a craftsman, not many like you left. Very honest and professional.
If your in a dry climate it works great 👍
Can we get a video on the products you use? The carpet came out insanely clean, we need some game man.
I just came across your videos on here and I’m also in the Sacramento area trying to start a detailing business. Keep it up bro! Hometown love! 💯💯
I don't do detialing anymore, but when I did, my process for setting prices was in this order ideally:
customer reaches out to me
they give me a brief explanation of what they want, condition of the car, type, etc.
I get them to send over photos to my business number of current condition, then I build out my invoice using several templates because it was fairly standardized
They agree to it or not, if they did, 50% down deposit via paypal, card, or cash (cheaper to avoid transaction fees) or sometimes they pay in full beforehand.
DAMN baby! You guys are the Clean Beasts! Completely new vehicle
I use quick books for my business
You can email the client the invoice and they can pay through that there is a little fee plus a monthly charge of 12.99 tho but still looks more professional and less hassle for you
I learned paint correction in my garage by myself.
You need a tornador air gun and air compressor for the interiors hammered like that. Turned out good
$180-230 for a Sedan in average condition. But yeah $350 is fine for this level of work needed, your pricing is valid! Keep up the good work! For paint correction just go out and mess with your vehicles and experiment if not buy a junk yard panel and see your limits.
You always need to let them now that some stains will not be 100 % removed
Your a good man keeping honest prices, even tho you think sometimes you would have charged more, you keep it honest and make it happen 👍
Hey hunter! Try forex spot carpet remover! It might help with some stains when spot treating! All love brotha
Raj Vitela try window cleaner on carpet stains it work amazing.
Starts at $399.99
2nd Tier is a one step paint correction which removes a lot more than the previous tier.
I would give you a 2-3 days of training for free man. Love the passion that detailers have
That would be a blessing! Where are you located?
@@HuntersMobileDetailing were located in Michigan! How far away is this from you?
keep it up brotha, glad to see another detailer hustlin!
Thank for the advice! Speaking facts
Also I started out at lower speeds until I felt more comfortable
I am a novice. I prefer the g15 or 21. That hi-buff polisher is hell though.
I know thats that boy reyes behind the camera🔥
😆
I am 17 years old and just graduated
I’m surprised you guys don’t take the seats out of the car. All you need is a rachet and socket set. A breaker bar. Torque wrench. Blue lock tite. Maybe a small parts bin to hold the 8 bolts. Makes shampooing and cleaning interiors way easier
Bro if u think it’s a fair price than charge the 350 but anything that is worse than what u doing charge more man I’m sure it’s gonna look clean
New subscriber tho I plan on starting my own car detailing business very soon😆
and that why i would carry some carpet paint if you had some grey paint you could hit those stubborn spots after your done if the owner agrees and it would look like new!
I take 50% before I schedule a detail …
I love the channel! Great job man. I do have an idea for you though. In your app or someplace have people send you pictures of the car. Inside and out. This can help you quote a bit better before you get there, and also plan ahead.
Paint correction is great money! Find what products work for you and your volume. If you’re pressed for time, there’s awesome ONE-STEP options out there that will come out great. New subscriber, love the real ass videos! Keep working at your dream.
I have not seen you detail seat belts (might just not be on camera). But pull them out, and use a clamp to keep extended, and scrub and steam them to get that extra clean feeling!
Great tips! I would think seatbelts are the most missed while detailing
You can also pull them out and pressure wash them too to really get them clean and fast. The ends inside I use a tornador with apc and microfiber. Just let em hang to dry.
I agree with Hunter that we doubt our selfs and low ball our own prices
Respect king. your energy and hustle are contagious
Bro auto zone sells carpet spray paint for those little touch ups so it well make those yellow light spots ✌💯👍
Use folex carpet cleaner for those spot
I always take the keys out the ignition and hand them over when they pay up
Damn man the energy w you guys is crazy I'd love a job like that
Hunter I usually charge 500 to 600 if not keep it moving if customer trys to get it cheaper that my final price its the time you put into it as always be safe God bless William from extreme optimum auto detailing pr
450-500 all day for us in NC. Interior and exterior.
Lesson learned like you said price should always be upfront first.. I don't care if they do got alot of money hell some rich people might tell you I got u and don't pay you that day u no I got.. Yo bills never stop coming!
Heard on a detail pod cast “get a security deposit” for every job
At least it was not open 🤣🤣🤣 , keep it up love your vidéos
I'm going to drive to Sacramento to get mine detailed.. great work.. just subbed👍
I do paint corrections for $125-$250 for cars & $300-$450 for large vehicles as well 😮💨
I would charge before starting service. It avoids issues later on.
What do you do if they say they dnt want to pay how do you go around getting the money court ? Let the police get involved? Call a lawyer?
God bless you man I just notice you list all your equipment just in case someone wants to start a detailing business.
The best dual action polisher is a hi-buff.
