Prime messi used to take on a whole defense line alone casually every match. Ronaldinho was never marked by 4-5 players like messi has. The last goal keeper thought Ronaldinho was kicking the ball to his teammates as a pass. He did not expect Ronaldinho to be going for the goal from such a long distance. That's why he was so unprepared for it. But even if he was in the perfect position, that kick would have been really difficult to defend because of the location targeted, the top 90 corner.

That was ronaldinho at his best, you could only watch and apreciate how good he was and clap. If he had a strong mentality he would definetely be the greatest ever. Way ahead of messi and ronaldo and everyone else. Dude was the most skilled player to ever play this game, pure magic. He could do everything, dude would run for 50 meters dribling everyone till he scored. The ball control at the speed he's moving is insane. Sadly he enjoyed partying and women a bit too much so barcelona sold him when his form droped after being world's best player for 2 years. And then it was always down the hill, gaining weight and losing his fitness and habilities.

There's a difference between being a skilled player and a good player.
Ronaldinho was a *great* player. Not *THE* greatest, but definitely an all time legend.
However, in terms of technical skill.... absolutely peerless. The most technically gifted player ever to take the pitch.
Think of the greatest NFL wide receivers. Most would say Jerry Rice tops the list (I certainly would).
But, has there ever been a more *gifted* wide receiver than Randy Moss? I think not. After all, lots of DBs get Mossed. But no one ever gets "Riced".

Judging by your reaction I don't think you caught it at 12:42 , Ronaldinho invented the under-barrier goal, nowadays people put someone laying down on the ground to prevent shit like that lmao

The one where he intentionally banged the top bar four times in a row was done with CGI, but it speaks to his skills that the world briefly thought he actually could do it.
Also, he was one of the first to regularly intentionally take a shot under the wall. You can see it in the highlights where the wall players jumped and he outthought them and just shot it under them. Because of the tactic he popularized, players now form a wall and have some guy lie down to block the low shot.

Ronaldinho is by far my all-time favorite footballer. He's definitely in the GOAT convo. He's like the Allen Iverson of football, except he has won titles...lol. The only real difference between him and Messi, is that Messi is just more 'serious minded'. But Ronaldinho, even though he loved the game, he also loves life. When he played at the highest pro-club levels in Europe and represented Brazil internationally, he partied almost every night. That was just his personality. Bro, the dude had a clause in his contracts that the clubs had to provide him with a woman in the lockerroom before every game. After he retired, he married his TWO (yss...TWO) girlfriends at a wedding ceremony in Brazil a few years ago. Ronaldinho is a freaking LEGEND...LOL

You should see how he used to play when he was a lil kid, he was as amazing as he was in his prime, completely gifted, known for being one of the only great players who's always smiling and enjoying the game. He won mostly everything a football player can aspire to win, he revolutionized the game, even Pelé and Maradona (both considered the best players ever) considered him one of the best players football ever had. Also, his Nike line, was one of the most sold when it comes to football, it was called R10.

Also, thanks for calling it Football, respect, Football existed way before American Football, Soccer is an "americanism" that no one likes outside the US.

Very nice reaction! Please, react to Ronaldo Phenomenon vs Ronaldinho battle skills! It's amazing! Your mom knows what's good! In Brazil there were many others before him that did amazing things. Search for Pelé, Garrincha, Zico, Djalminha, Romário and (of course) Neymar.
