Ronaldinho might not be up there in the GOAT conversation for most, but he genuinely created a new style, and inspired a new generation of players/fans. He gave people the confidence to be creative and have fun with the game, instead of sticking to the fundamentals to avoid embarrassment. That deserves an award of its own. Ronaldinho is the reason I started watching football watched him in the 2002 World Cup final when I was young and immediately fell in love with his play style to this day he is still my favorite of all time.

Ronaldo was very skillful when he was young and there have been quite a few flashy players over the years, but definitely Ronaldinho and then the closest thing to him Neymar are the ones taking the cake. The best two skillers of 21st century for sure and perhaps in history, right now is probably Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid, but he is quite a long way from these two in my opinion.

In his prime (which unfortunately didn't last as long as Messi's or Ronaldo's) he might be the most skilled player of all time. However, as a brazilian player of course he loved to party, so that discipline deficit prevent him to be the actual goat.
His name is Ronaldo.. ronaldinho is his nickname meaning little Ronaldo . Overall there are 3 Ronaldo’s . Ronaldo R9), Ronaldinho (R10), and Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7)… Ronaldinho is only called R10 when compared to R9 because they played on the same team for the Brazilian national team. Also R9 is older than Ronaldinho hence why he’s called Ronaldinho… because he’s younger.(little Ronaldo)

It's not called a juke it's called a faint and when the player with the ball goes past the opposite player it's called a dribble and when the players do those fancy tricks that's called a skill move when the defender stops a shot it's called a block but when a goalkeeper stops a shot it's called a save(yes they're different because the keeper plays a different sport to the other players) and when a player receives a pass and the ball stays next to him it's called control which doesn't sound or look impressive but control is one of the most crucial/difficult traits to obtain and more often than not it's what differentiates these legends that you're reacting to to the rest of footballers in the world

He was called "The magician" in Barcelona. He was like a catoon playng the ball, always smilling. He changes Barcelona emotions in a really bad time and represents the inflection point were Barcelona becames the greatest club in the word (Real Madrid wins more but with a REALLY suspicious ways... Ps. Oh btw, you know how when you take the ball through somebody's legs is called a "nutmeg". We also have a name for when you kick the ball over somebody (Like when Ronaldinho did it twice, followed by a shot of him doing it trice and that u pointed out in the video): its called a "Sombrero" as in spanish for "hat". He liked doing sombreros a lot, aswell as nutmegs and the "elastico" also called "snake" .

Maybe someone did something similar to him...but not with his level of skill and ball control. In terms of ball control even Pelé (the greatest of all) hadn't skills at his level in ball handling. The Ronaldo that you know is a NOBODY compared to Ronaldinho in therms of Skill (but the other brazilian Ronaldo did the same stuff).
On his peak years (mainly his Barcelona's period of time 2003 - 2008 and some of 2002 World Cup moments of him) Ronaldinho's Magic on the Field was unmatched in my opinion, him and Thierry Henry are my favourite living legends of football, because of them I started to fall in love with football world, they are part of my childhood..

I've been watching football since i was 5 and i played when i was younger, i'm 28 and i've never seen a player more skilled than Ronaldinho, the things he did with the ball were amazing, i can't compare him with Messi or Ronaldo because those two had a peak that lasted 12-15 years and Ronaldinho's peak were 2 years of the 3 years that was in Barça, he did nice things before and after but not in every match. Great video Cindy, i would recomend you to watch some match of the Barça of 2009-20012, the best team i have ever seen playing this beautiful sport!!

If you allow me to recommend a player that I think you should know, I recommend that you watch a video of Ronaldo the phenomenal or also called Ronaldo Nazario. He played alongside Ronaldinho in the Brazilian team where they were world champions in 2002, for many people the best striker that ever existed. There's even a video comparing Ronaldinho and Ronaldo Nazario's plays and it's very complete and not very long, I'll leave the link to that video in case you want to react or watch it. So he went to their way less successful arch nemesis, Barcelona. They took on Galacticos and won. He mentored an Argentine wonderkid named Leo messi. Messi went on torment the 2nd galacticos. Barca assembled 2 other best forwards of the generation with Neymar & Suarez. Neymar was the only worthy successor of Ronaldinho. But this time Madrid went basics and got players just needed for their system. They went on to absolute dominate for a decade. Now they are hair away from finishing the third galacticos. Now a 17 year old kid from Barcelona named Lamine yamal who idiolizes Neymar is leading the charge to repeat the history once again.
Turn in for this years el classico (oct 26). It's going to be an absolute madness.
When it comes to football skills Ronaldinho is the best no one is close to him except the likes of JJ Okocha and Robinho. Cr7, Messi and even Neymar are nowhere near Ronaldinho when it comes to football skills and tricks. The likes of Messi and Cr7 only have a longer career and more achievements, but Ronaldinho is football wizard.
I only watched football because of Ronaldhino he was something.... I remember El Classico where Zidane, R9, R Carlos, Beckham, Raul great legends there and infront of them he was alone to defeat the whole Real Madrid of that time which was known as Galacticos ... That era was something different

There are great legends in soccer, but no one was as good as Ronaldinho. He was as complete as you can imagine the perfect soccer player should be. He had a lot of control of the ball, he was strong, he was fast, very quick on his feet to decide which play to go for, knew how to kick, how to pass the ball, how to steal the ball from his adversaries, how to create unusual favorable situations for his teams, how to demoralize his adversaries just by playing his natural self, he always prefered to continue the play instead of askings the judge for a fault. And he did all that with a smile on his face. Most legends are outstanding at one, two, three of those aspects, but he was really complete, he had it all. You can watch as many videos as you want about him, and I can garantee you that it won't be a waste of time. =)
