The lack of motorization is a huge hit. I would pay twice as much for a train which went on a track. Real shame. The cable is super ugly. Thanks for you being honest.

I'm glad you use non Lego. Most people think its trash. If it wasn't for generic Lego I wouldnt have enough to build with. I have 7 small official Lego sets and 115 loose pieces. Most of my Lego is small detail pieces. I rely on generic to have enough to build things. I built a small pizza parlor. I couldn't do that if I just used lego.
That is a common misconception about non-Lego products. Some are lower quality, but if you source from quality brands they are just as good as LEGO. And much cheaper! Thanks so much for the comment!
It can definitely be done. I'll probably wait until I have more train lines, but eventually I'd like to motorize this train as well as my hogwarts express!
