    You guys should add in a decibel meter when you record the sound of exhausts to give a more accurate comparison of loudness.

    • @Serenityindailylife
      @Serenityindailylife 6 лет назад +1

      Db meters that really work start at 30k. The rest of those cheap ones are worthless. The apps are even worse. So its really not feasible for most people to buy one. I rented one for work one time. It required a 25k deposit a copy of my business insurance and $3500 a day. Not worth it for something like this video. Most manufacturers use a cheap one ( they usually buy 4-5 and go with which ever numbers suit their needs since they will most likely be all different) another thing we found is the fact that a change as small as 1" of location of the microphone changed the reading drastically. So without a measuring standard like OSHA and the US Government (NIST) use for test equipment the numbers they recordered would be useless. This is why its best to use vague terms and instead describe the tone which can also vary from person to person. Hope this helps.

    I have an 18' 2.7 and love it. It's damn quick, comfortable and quiet. I appreciate a nice sounding exhaust but for me only in a sports car. To me this engine sounds terrible when trying to make it louder but hey-to each his own. There's no better engine available today than the 2.7.

      If you have 18" wheels (you can find them stock offset for relatively cheap, plus the Ford tpms sensors on Ebay are relatively cheap) The cheapest off road 33" tire size is LT275/70 18. If you want 33s, but don't care about off-road durability, 17" rims are your best bet with a P285/70 17. There's almost a half inch in diameter difference between those two though(18"s being taller but 285s wider), and LTs will always have more tread. You don't need a lift for 33"s either, as they fit stock height, and fill out the wells better. You can't really go much wider than 285 on the stock offset without rubbing though. You can go the more expensive route with wider offset new rims, but understand that you put more stress on the suspension and increase the scrub on your tires when you go wide offset. If you level the truck, you change the geometry more, reducing payload, and thus towing capacity. These new F-150s are already taller than F-1350s from 1999-2004 and have 9.4 inches of ground clearance stock, so either route works fairly well. Tires do the most to change the look of your truck without dumping 3 grand. If you do like I did and get some 18" steelies on the cheap and give them a rattle can job with tan camo, you too can look like you just got back from Desert Storm lol.

    Justin my dude! I like the magnaflow but I would like the dump before the rear tire. The corsica exhaust looks larger than the stock muffler. The Borla exhaust is too Honda Civic-ee. If I had my way I would get the Roush exhaust before rear passenger tire (if they had the option) or the magnaflow with black tips before the rear passenger tire. Roush makes a good sounding setup but they do not make an exhaust before rear passenger tire. Ohhhh decisions. Might go with the Magnaflow exhaust before passenger rear tire.

    It should be noted that the ATAK kit Eliminates the muffler entirely. Nobody Ever mentions this for some reason.

      I know it’s been over a year but if you want v8 sounds then you should just buy the 5.0 (if you haven’t)

      @@Darth_CeeZeR Unfortunately they are. That's why I did my part and bought a coyote F150 😁 Sounds so good. These ecoboost sound like my civic.

    Nope nope nope. Its a 2.7 but still a truck. Not a civic. Or Get a jetta if you want that sound and leave the trucks for people who don't need to drive a decoration. This is like people who buy a 2wd and then lift it 6 or more inches.....why? Is your subdivision super offroady? You know it'll never even see a dirt road.

      Let me guess Your a chevy , dodge guy. That 2.7 would fucking dust any Silverado or ram and that's a fact. Chevy and dodge trucks cannot compete with these EcoBoost motors, It makes them look slow.
