If it hadn't been for your video, I'm not sure it would have occurred to me to visit the closed Iranian embassy! The embassy was surprisingly large, I must say. I can't imagine why Iran would have needed such a complex in Tirana back when it was open.
I don't really like pop music, but I know that Albania is the birthplace of such popular singers as Era Istrefi, Ava Max, Rita Ora. There has been an Albanian musical invasion recently:)) But I know little about contemporary Albanian politics. Thank you for the video. And greetings from Tatarstan (Volga Bulgaria)✌️✊
I can't say I'm an expert in pop music either. 😃 I think I've read that Rita Ora is from Kosovo, but that would make her ethnically Albanian I think (and I might be wrong). I'm glad your enjoyed the video - thanks for watching and commenting!
@@FredoRockwellyour totally right, era istrefi, dua lipa and rita ora are albanians from kosova. we’re all at the end of the day albanian whether ur from albania or kosova
Hey! I was scouring RUclips for this video, thank you and well done. You cracked me up, great reporting! ‘Merican visiting the Balkans, especially excited to visit Tirana in Feb. I find the incredible advancement this country has made since 1991 totally fascinating, definitely sparked my curiosity. Rama is a very interesting leader, for sure. Such beautiful people and rich culture, deep history. Thanks Again!
I knew a little bit about Albania's political system, but I found this quite informative. I didn't know they had a street, statue, and bakery in honor of George W. Bush! As an American, I found this to be a nice move on their part! Thanks for the video!
Hiya, they were fantastic I agree! I'm not sure I can retrieve the video easily, but I might be able to dig up an audio recording in a couple weeks (the sound used in the video came from my field recorder I think). I can post it on the Discord server once I have it. If you join there you can also prod me if I forget...
I think the EU, NATO and the US should definitely support Albania. I do understand why a lot of countries are suspicious of the US government though. We need to stop invading other countries and see other countries as partners and not just as tools for pressing our own interests.
Great video Fredo! What a fun and interesting way to look at Albanian politics. And thanks so much for the incredibly kind mention!

There is also the statue of Woodrow Wilson in Tirana. Wilson helped Albania after WW1.

I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for watching. 😀
Good video!
Thank you!
Hi, Fredo! Do you have a longer video of the street musicians at 11:14? They sound amazing! I'd really like to hear a more complete version

These are the type of countries we should support... not the ones who say screw America
