Skip x160. Go straight to x260. Your gonna want a bigger one in no time. X160 top speed about 25 mph. X260 about 50mph stock. You can get about 12-15 terrain miles of hard riding. Thats plenty in the trails. Then get a second battery. Cost about $1600.

There is still some question as to if its the same motor although a recent video from Edwin Olding seems to prove that with a battery and controller switch the 160 has the same motor. He is building a bike starting with a basic 160 and using stock parts from his Sur Ron X left over after upgrades to see affordability. Lots of stock suspension and controllers out there cheap. Not sure how it will work out. $3000 X160, then buying used controller, fork and wheels and ending up with basically a stock Sur Ron X. I thought about doing the same since I have the X controller, stock DNM fork and 1- 19" rim left after my own upgrades.

I have x260. Are you actually getting 46 mph? Mine says 42 mph on the speedometer but ik the speedometer on the bike is wrong so I must be going st least 38-40 mph and I was going on a straight road. Maybe I just need a longer road.
The stock speedo is never right. My friends and i could all ride side by side and get different readings. If you change sprocket or wheel size they get even worse. Download a GPS app for your phone.

He can just change it from the app
Hold down the red button on speedometer then twist the key in where you turn it on so it change it to mph

If you suck to much power when the battery is low. Its kills the battery so stop trying to over ride that. Go get 72 volt or ull have a bad battery

It depends on how fast you're going, the weather, and the terrain but I typically get about 2 hours of ride time.

You have to cut the green wires inside the battery box to unlock full potential, look up a tutorial
