Amazing tips Ingrid, I work from home too. I just like to add two: - I need go outside and be in contact with the nature unless 30 minutes per day, I just love fell the warm of the sun and some fresh air. I am very lucky, i live very close to the beach and I can spend a part of my day there . - Morning excessives gives me a lot of energy and help me to think clearly :) You are a sweet girl, I always enjoy your vids!! xxxx
I work from home as a freelance writer and blogger. I already follow these exact tips you shared because they really work. Having a regular schedule even when you don't "have to" makes a huge difference. I generally work 9 to 7 and end my day by reading a good book and my breaks throughout the day usually involve a walk around the block with my dog. Using my Day Designer planner and bullet journal helps me stay organized with my tasks throughout the day as well. Best wishes to all of those other remote workers out there! Rebecca
+Rebecca Kelsey Sampson The dog walking is my go to. I'm back in an office now, but I miss wearing my pajamas while working. I know some people have to get dressed, but I was not one of them.
I LOVE working from home....started doing it 7 years ago and wouldn't want to return to the office workplace (or that drama)! Awesome tips here... For myself I have learned that structure is of the utmost importance. I MUST have a daily routine, I don't do well with willy-nilly work habits. I prefer to work very early in the morning and get my 'work day' finished so I can spend the rest of the day doing 'me things'. Out of bed between 4 and 5 AM and hit the shower as if I were going to an actual office job. I keep my work space separate from the rest of the home (in my basement). I work for four hours.... then take a coffee break and watch 30 to 60 minutes of TV/news or sit on the deck and enjoy nature. I then return to my basement office and work another 4 hours. Then the rest of the day is mine. Of course...you have the beauty of 'flexibility' if anything more interesting comes up....just remember that you do have an obligation and any 'stolen time' needs to be made up. Sometimes there isn't anything interesting to do in the evening, maybe the weather is bad or nothing good on the tube, so I'll put in 'bonus time' in the basement office, this allows me free time to use later when something more exciting may be happening. Working from home is all about time management and discipline. It's a GREAT way to work and much less stressful then being in the office environment. Also, you save a ton of money on gas, food, and clothes! Downside.... You are isolated to some degree. You do not have people interactions and you will, at times, find yourself yearning for human contact. You also have to realize that food is WAY too available. Be sure to live a healthy lifestyle and take time for exercise and watch your diet! Keep your home office area free of distraction. No TV is a good thing! Do not get in the habit of checking youtube or social media every five minutes! Work time is for work, play time is for play....keep them separate and you'll have no probs. Good Luck, and ENJOY the freedom!
Something to tackle the isolation and the occasional feeling of loneliness is to head to a cafe or something for a few hours. I find even just being around other people and having a change of scenery can do wonders for that side of things!
This is the BEST video I've seen from Ingrid EVER. It was short, very well done, AND VERY VERY VERY HELPFUL. This is the epitome of a perfect RUclips video. Andy.
SO helpful. As a full time youtuber my work and personal life are completely blurred and I have no routine, so these tips were amazing and i'll definitely be following them! xx
+simply_kenna amazing how your blurring still helped you gain a good following! that always amazes me, i feel like i have to be organized before succeeding in something :P i just subscribed to you, looking forward to seeing what you got going on! check out one of my music videos
I've been needing this video for like the whole of my holidays! I've always wanted to start my work at like 8am but really ended up starting it at 12...
This was a really helpful video for me. I have been working from home for over 18 months now, and I am at that phase where I feel like I am a slug and a mooch for working at home, and I feel like I don't have the right to stop working just because I don't go to another place to work. I am soooo glad I am not the only one who feels discouraged and lazy. My personal tip is to always have your office buddy with you. D'argo (my 9-year-old dog) has learned the work routine and is always super psyched to do it. He jumps up in the morning and tap dances until we go upstairs to my office. He hovers around the office while I am working, shares snacks with me, and if I have been sitting too long will come over for a cuddle, reminding me to get up and stretch my legs. If you can do it, it is an amazing feeling to have someone as pumped up for work as your own personal office pet.
+Kathryn Davidson Also, I have a window behind my computer monitor that faces out into our awesome back yard space, which gets great sunlight most of the day. It also lets me keep an eye on the dogs when they go outside to play, and keep track of inclement weather. Sunlight works for those days when you don't have enough pep in your step!
I watched this four years ago when I first started working remotely, and it was really helpful. I have been recommending the same tips to colleagues and I remembered this video.
I'm usually foggy and have trouble focusing, especially in the mornings and days. (I'm a night owl.) ..and I always think it's really good to KNOW what you're going to do tomorrow to wake up with a purpose! Try to plan what you're having for breakfast, even, so you start with a motivation to get up right away and so you already know what's been planned for you. i.e., "I'm going to wake up at this time tomorrow to make poached eggs for breakfast, then I can start this project." Knowing and planning the day the night BEFORE is so helpful to combat morning or new-day fogginess for me!
I always go to coffee shops to get work done, so I'm in a different space. I find this really helps me because once I leave the coffee shop, I'm done for the day. 🙌🏻
Anna S I recently started a sticker shop on Etsy for Erin Condren planners :) You wouldn't think it'd be that big, but we're doing super well! I've been working pretty much nonstop!
My mom is a free lance journalist and she has worked from home for about 15 years now, and I made her watch this video, and she says even tho it's been years, it nice to have this relaxed reminder of staying calm and focused. This was such a great vid Ingrid! Xoxoxo
I work from home and I defiantly struggle between work and personal. I always just keep going. Love the tips, defiantly going to put them in place and have more boundaries.
yeah when i was working from home i found that it was really difficult to feel like my home wasn't a job - definitely glad to get out of the house now and go to an office. :) GREAT VIDEO!
As a guy that does RUclips for a living over the past 4 years, within the past year I've fallen WAYYYY out of my schedule and have become stressed/anxious and it's been awful. I'll definitely try these tips. Hopefully it's as easy as you make it sound. Stay awesome Ingrid!
This is by far, the BEST tip video for stay organize and motivated. You stay on topic, you are clear and concise, there is no babbling and this video make sense. I would like to see more videos like this by you. Thank you!
You look absolutely GORGEOUS in this video and your backdrop is so pretty! This is such a helpful video, I really want to be able to work at home one day. It's so hard to balance youtube and school! Although I only started youtube 2 months ago but ahhhhhhhh I can't get that balance right!
Definitely go outside! When I'm feeling sluggish spending 20-30 minutes outside in the sun feels like I just took a nap, it's so invigorating! Even if it's not sunny, awakening your senses to the wind and ambient sounds is so relaxing and really makes you think about what really matters and how small you are and how small your seemingly incredibly huge tasks are.
This is very helpful. I work during the mornings at a preschool as a teacher and go to college in the late evenings so the whole middle of the day is time that I have to spend doing work from home. This is usually creating lesson plans for my classroom at work and then doing homework for school. Dividing up the day like you said, helps keep me focused on one thing instead of worrying about everything at once.
These tips are great. I have been working on being more focused, being more productive and also learning to take breaks as I also work from home. I am a big list maker and usually feel overwhelmed from long lists, I am going to try the cover the list so I can focus without stressing.
The beginning of this video is exactly what is happening in my life right now. 6 months in working from home. A dream after 19 years in the corporate world...thought I could finally take ownership of my home life and creative side...but the opposite is happening. Great video...lots of common sense I needed to be reminded of. It;s easy to say "just make a schedule!!" but unless I have a lot of meetings---its so easy to find myself in yoga pants at 3PM. Thanks again!!
I have found it super helpful to get out of the house, even if it's for a 5 minute walk, a yoga class, an errand or meeting with friends. Having a schedule outside of the house is key for me. If I stay in the house for an entire day, home starts to feel much less home-y! Thanks for the video, Ingrid!
+my DIYtifuLife (Marina GM) I know! I'm like "What am I doing?! Why can't I just be like Ingrid and work efficiently and not procrastinate like I always do?"
+Shelby Rush because it's her job to provide content that her audience likes. Why are people so quick to jump on an opinion they don't agree with, like stop
You really made a difference in my life, you made me look differently at things, notice things I haven't noticed before, and appreciate the little things in life. You helped me relax and let go when no one else could. I hope you read this and realize how amazing you are.
This was highly helpful! I'm only 13 but when it comes to the stuff I like to do (such as RUclips, writing, party planning, and playing/practicing instruments) I like to see it as work that I love. I am definately a beliver in having cold water at your desk. Sometimes when the water starts to feel just blah I will add cucumber, lemon, and mint to add refreshing bursts of flavor. I know when I grow up I will definately be working from home so I will always come back and rewatch this video for reminders
Such good tips Ingrid. I'm that girl in my pj bottoms all day! haha Even when I'm filming, I put on a cute top but leave my pj bottoms on. Such a bad habit.
+Sona Gasparian Hi Sona! I clicked on your channel and loved it, already subscribed! Tomorrow I'm sharing your tutorial for brown eyes on my blog's facebook page because I really enjoyed it! =) (If you want to see it there tomorrow at 10am LA time just click here facebook.com/nemsodeblush !) Im brazilian and am also a makeup artist and blogger! Wish you all the success, you deserve it! Kisses, Sofia!
omg i love your backdrop! I wish i could balance youtube and school but I can't get that balance right either! I'd love to be able to work from home when I get a job :)
I don't work from home but I do commute to school. I'm in my junior year of nursing school so my classes are at least 3 hours long and early in the morning. Coming home, it is easy to want to lounge all day but this video is so helpful! I already make lists but I liked how you mentioned setting a morning and evening routine.
This video is really helpful. I also work from home and I sometimes find myself past 8 p.m. in my pajamas and my work only halfway finished, because it's so easy to procrastinate all the time. Another tip is to get outside and get moving (walking, cycling, anything) as often as possible, because if you don't you'll realize that you're spending all your days indoors.
Love, love, LOVE this! RUclips is just my hobby but even on my days off I try to keep it within the 8-5 (okay fine, 8-6) time zone, to separate it from my personal life. Another great rule of thumb is the "touch it once" rule, handle whatever it may be immediately. I apply this to once I "touch" the off button on my alarm, I get out of bed. If I read that email then I have to tend to it. It is so refreshing to tackle tasks and you end up clearing a lot of time to do the things that you're passionate about instead of dealing with tedious, though necessary, tasks!
Thank you so much for the great tips!! I work from home sometimes and all the stuff you said is sooo true. Sometimes I don't get up at all, or stay in my pajamas. But the taking breaks and setting a schedule sounds great to be organized and not sit on the same spot all day. ❤️
You are so motivating! I'm a people person so I found that walking up to my local coffee shop and having a cup of coffee while I do some work there really helped me wake up and get into the right frame of mind for when I reenter my house to do work.
Thank you for this video! I have worked a day a week from home for years, but I'm just moving into full-time online graduate school. A totally different ball game to be at home 100% of the time. These tips are really helpful!
Such great tips!!! I need all the help I can get when it comes to working from home and staying focused!! I'm not a nap person, but I love the idea of taking a shower as a way to unwind and signal that work is done for the day and your personal life begins!!
Thank you so much Ingrid! This is so extremely helpful. I recently started a new job as a personal assistant and basically am on call 24/7. A lot of the time it can be stressful because I don't know when I will be needed for work, and also it is hard for me to plan out personal things for myself that still keep me grounded and also find the time I can carve out of the day for me. A lot of the time I work from home doing various things through out the day and the most important thing for me to do is to make lists and to keep revising those lists until all of the tasks are complete. It's hard for me to "turn off" my workday because sometimes I still do get calls during the evenings, but I am working on not stressing out so much about always trying to be available 24/7, and taking some time out of the day for me as well! :)
This video is so helpful because while I'm not working from home, I'm taking distance education courses along with my on-campus ones, leaving my mondays, wednesdays and fridays completely open. Instead of being tempted to goof off, I know I have to get work done for my courses, so I came straight to this video!
you're helping me. I'm stuck staying at home, doing nothing for several months now although I have a bunch of things, homework, projects to do. Thanks Ingrid
I go to a self-directed high school (we teach ourselves basically and we don't have class) and I work from home quite a bit because my extracurricular schedule is quite busy. This was so helpful for me! Sometimes I find myself working in my pajamas, and by 3 pm I am watching Netflix instead of studying. Thanks for the great video Ingrid :)
+neon5311 Hey guys!! Can you please help me reach 1000 views on my cover of My Heart Will Go On? It would mean the world to me!! I'm new to uploading videos on here and any support will be very much appreciated
I love love love this. this is the best advice, even for young people who are just constantly on their computer, phone and social media at home when you're not working yet. now that I'm older and have been through all of that, I love your advice for having the bedroom being technology free cause in time I've learned that disconnecting is the best feeling ever where you can just have your you time and focus/relax. I think when I finally have my own place that is exactly what I'm going to do and just have a separate room just for hanging out and going on the computer/gaming stuff (tv, xbox, etc) :) Ingrid you're the best!!!
+Brianna Elizabeth I didn't think I could until I was pretty much forced too. It's hard to get into that right mindset, but once you do, it just feels like any other work day.
I'm about to start studying for final exams and with a few weeks of holidays before my exams that are solely dedicated to studying, these tips are perfect! I plan on having lots of full days of studying and these tips will make my days so much more productive and less stressful! Thanks Ingrid! xx
How do you actually get into working from home though while getting a steady reliable income? Working through the system with a typical 9 til 5 job just isn't for me and I just want to live my life free and do what I want without feeling trapped and other people controlling me. I quit my job today because I hated it. All the jobs I've ever had I just quit because I hated them. I'm constantly looking at the clock counting down the hours until it's time to leave and then it all starts in that cycle again the next day and I don't think it's normal. We've all just been brainwashed into thinking that that is how we should all be living. I was so scared to tell my nana that I quit my job because I would judged and she would be disappointed even though staying in jobs makes me unhappy. Life is short. Why would I want to live it being unhappy. I'm 21 from England and I'm just stuck. I'm not incredibly talented at anything and don't really have a true passion for anything. I enjoy art and reading but my arts and crafts skills aren't up to scratch that I would consider doing something with it. Even if I did try to do something about it what would I be doing about money in the mean time? It's like our lives are just controlled by the aspect of needing money to do things I hate it :( I hate the thought of having to "sponge off the government" but that's the only option for me right now and it's sucks that that is how the world works.
I quit my job as well because I have 2 daughters and working full time felt like they were growing up without me :( There are so many opportunities out there. You need to find one your passionate with. I'm really into health and fitness so that's what I do. I've been doing it for a few months and LOVE it! I just opened up a website a few days ago www.gracemajeed.com.
+CastleFlameGal you're just 21, you have plenty of time to find what your true passion is :) I think a good thing to do is to get a part time job or something and use that extra time to find out what you want to do. Maybe take some classes? If you are really driven to make a living out of something you like to do, you will have to make some efforts, and it will not come easily. Sometimes all it takes is an idea and start working on it, sometimes you have to find the right company (a lot of companies take remote employees, like designers or accountants). Good luck!!
Florencia Pinochet Thanks for the advice. It's the getting a job part that I struggle at anyway and then when I get one I never enjoy it so end up quitting. I don't understand. It's this constant cycle and I feel guilty for doing it and that I'm a failure and that I'm never going to enjoy anything and stick at it. I have no other way of getting money so I literally get money from benefits even though I really don't want to but that's the only way I can survive without being trapped in this miserable cycle of being at work almost all the time and even then I feel kind of trapped because then I'm trapped in the constant control of the benefit people controlling what jobs I should and shouldn't be applying for and if I don't apply for ones that I am apparently "capable of doing" then they can just stop my money and then I have literally nothing. It's really got me down today. I've never been so stressed and down in my life. I'm usually a very optimistic, look on the bright side kind of person but today I'm just feeling depressed lol.
+CastleFlameGal I´m sure you´ll find something you can stick to in time. But work is work and it can´t always be fun. We all do things we don´t love because we have to pay the bills. It´s the contrast that makes you enjoy your free time so much. If you had all the free time in the world, it wouldn´t feel as great as you think. Just try to find a job that you don´t hate and enjoy the sense of accomplishment once you get your pay check.
+Soli Verypersonal so true! Every job has good and bad points, good and bad days, and unless you're lucky enough to not have to worry about bills and supporting yourself, we just have to suck it up sometimes!👍🏼 It's life!
This is so helpful! Thank you! I don't work from home, but I commute to college only twice a week; so, I do a lot of homework at home. I like how you explained separating yourself, physically and mentally, from work at certain times... I really want to try this!
I generally NEVER comment on videos and I have been doing so much research on how to stay motivated or how to schedule my work time at home and nothing has ever really worked .... but your video has taught me SOO MUCH I cannot thank you enough @ingridnilsen !!! All this time, I have been just falling in all the traps: not getting dressed, staying in bed, not defining an end time! Gosh I really really really appreciate this!!! #blessed my college grades are gonna thank you 😭😭 Oh and the post-it idea to hide other things when your lists are too long, GENIUS!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️️❤️️❤️️
I sell my skills - marketing, HR, admin, and some accounting. I took Business in college and couldn't find a job I liked so I started by telling family and friends that I could be hired to help with calls, bookkeeping, social media site set up. It helped that I have worked in certain industries as well, so I can say I have specialized knowledge on both the financial and high tech industries.
A lot of people need help with sorting receipts and tracking expenses for taxes. Also, call and email management. Being able to sort things into folders; all of these just save people time, and that is what they pay for.
I need an update video on where you are living (just the city, don't worry) or whose background you are using because I can't follow and I hate that... :)
+Ellen Z. this video was shot in her apartment in southern california. then when she is in a different background it is most likely her apartment in New York City. hope this helped :)
Natalie Ray I know this is in LA, but for some reason I thought she moved to a different apartment in LA until I saw this? The background on her recent video's show quite a big apartment, while most in NY aren't big at all?
ya I mean obviously i don't know for sure but i think the others ones are in her NY apartment because depending on the area she lives in she could be living in a larger apartment especially with all the money she makes
Natalie Ray That's true. But I don't think she was living in NY recently, unless she makes her video's weeks before, because on snapchat she was with Hannah in LA :)
ahh Hannah and Ingrid are so cute!! Ya not totally sure what is happening but i know she pre films videos pretty early a lot cuz even in this video her hair is longer and she cut it short back in July right before vidcon
working at home is definitely hard and frustrating. but can be nice.. one thing i would like to do in the future, but even just working on my online class at home is tough! thanks for this video. very helpful xxx :)
It's so weird that something as simple as getting dressed can affect your brain that much but it is the thing that keeps me the most productive. I like your advice of finding a routine to separate the work day and the personal life after. Turning it off at the end of the day is definitely something I struggle with.
Thanks for the tips! They are very helpful! I don't work from home but have a really flexible schedule. Setting all the rituals to structure your work day is so important.
Thank you! I love this video, it's so helpful! I'm a freelance photographer and graphic designer so around 80% of my work takes place in front of a computer, plus I still live with my parents and my room is both my bedroom and my office. It's really hard to stay organized and motivated, especially since a lot of people want something from me during the day. P.S. My number one tip to get things done - clean your room/workspace. I can't focus if I know I'm surrounded by mess.
You inspire me so much! I'm trying to start working half-way from home, and these tips to separate "home time" and "work from home time" are going to help so much :)
Thanks for making this video! I just started working form home a few months go and i'm struggling with blurred lines and finding myself anxious and stressed like you described! Part of the thing is I live in NYC and my bedroom and my office are 1! I'm finding I'm either in full work mode or i'm not working at all and doing nothing! Then the doing nothing time grows more and more. It's been tough, these tips are simple but refreshing. I'm going to try to implement them! Thanks Ingrid!
You have summed up what I pretty much learnt(the harder way) in past 4 years of working from home 😊. One tip from me, for those who have an option keep a separate work phone and do not ever have it in your bedroom when you are sleeping, that makes you sleep better without stressing about work. When working from home it's very easy to pull that laptop out at odd hours to get some work done.
A short workout routine in between breaks is another great thing to do. I don't do more than 10 min at a time, but it always leaves me more energized and I feel I am able to concentrate better. Great tips, Ingrid, thank you! :)
I've worked from home on and off for quite a few years and these tips are spot on. It took a lot of trial and error but keeping a schedule, having a work 'spot' and getting dressed were the things that kept me sane. I also tried to use my lunch hour to GO OUTSIDE and at least see other humans, if not speak to them. Order a coffee or something just to use your voice. If I didn't do all these things I'd end up sleeping til noon, then I'd be working from the bed, I'd not get dressed or speak to humans for days on end and would end up working all the time, even at 11PM at night yet never seeming to get anything done. Productivity tools are really important too, use a calendar and sync it to all devices so you can't forget to go get some water, take a break, or send that important email. Tools like Trello or Basecamp help to organise tasks, set deadlines and keep track of what's 'in progress' what's 'completed' and what is still left to start. Great vid, this will definitely help those who are new to working from home!
This was so helpful! I've worked from home for about a month and a half now and I've been really struggling with separating work from life (especially since in my roommate situation I have to work from my bedroom. I found what's really helpful is that I have a desk in my bedroom that is my work desk. I don't do personal stuff on my work desk even though it's in my bedroom. Great tips. Especially about breaks. Thanks :)
Even though I work in an office, I also think that routine is important. I have my brunch break and later on my coffee or tea break (usually at the same time every day) and those breaks really help me to stay concentrated and to feel refreshed. Lovely video :)
Thanks for the tips! I am transitioning from a full-time job I don't exactly love to working from home. I tried it once before and struggled with motivation and keeping myself on track, but I am ready to try again!
Great tips! I work out of an office most of the time and I think a lot of these apply to traditional work settings too (although maybe check with your boss before taking a power nap!). Another thing I think is important is to separate work and personal life in your tech, too--separate email accounts (or don't check email after the end of the work day), separate phone numbers, etc. That way it's easier to not get accidentally sucked into work when checking for an email from mom or something. ;)
Amazing tips Ingrid, I work from home too.
I just like to add two:
- I need go outside and be in contact with the nature unless 30 minutes per day, I just love fell the warm of the sun and some fresh air. I am very lucky, i live very close to the beach and I can spend a part of my day there .
- Morning excessives gives me a lot of energy and help me to think clearly :)
You are a sweet girl, I always enjoy your vids!! xxxx
+Juliette R. Great tips! :)
What do you do from home?
+Juliette R. This only works if it isnt winter, and i mean canadian winters.
MsMcmuffin _ Haha, I can imagine that, you are welcome to visit us in Australia in 3 months ;)
JKlatinagirl Thank you :)
Rebecca
hello! how can you become a freelance writer? i'd really appreciate your help
I MUST have a daily routine, I don't
do well with willy-nilly work habits.
I prefer to work very early in the morning and get my 'work day' finished so I can spend the rest of the day doing 'me things'.
Out of bed between 4 and 5 AM and hit the shower as if I were going to an actual office job. I keep my work space separate
from the rest of the home (in my basement). I work for four hours.... then take a coffee break and watch 30 to 60 minutes
of TV/news or sit on the deck and enjoy nature. I then return to my basement office and work another 4 hours. Then the rest of the day is mine. Of course...you have the beauty of 'flexibility' if anything more interesting comes up....just remember that
you do have an obligation and any 'stolen time' needs to be made up.
Sometimes there isn't anything interesting to do in the evening, maybe the weather is bad or nothing good on the tube, so I'll
put in 'bonus time' in the basement office, this allows me free time to use later when something more exciting may be
happening.
Working from home is all about time management and discipline. It's a GREAT way to work and much less stressful then
being in the office environment. Also, you save a ton of money on gas, food, and clothes!
Downside.... You are isolated to some degree. You do not have people interactions and you will, at times, find yourself yearning for human contact. You also have to realize that food is WAY too available. Be sure to live a healthy lifestyle and take time
for exercise and watch your diet!
Keep your home office area free of distraction. No TV is a good thing! Do not get in the habit of checking youtube or social
media every five minutes!

SO helpful. As a full time youtuber my work and personal life are completely blurred and I have no routine, so these tips were amazing and i'll definitely be following them! xx
I love your videos Kenna (: I hope you find the balance you need between work and your personal life! Xx
LOVE YOU KENNA I WAS JUST WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS LOL

I've been needing this video for like the whole of my holidays! I've always wanted to start my work at like 8am but really ended up starting it at 12...
Hahaha I'm the same!!
That's actually a great idea!💙🐕🙌
Who’s here because of the Corona virus??? Great tips . Must see if you are considering , about to or are working from home 👍🏼
Me!
I watched this four years ago when I first started working remotely, and it was really helpful. I have been recommending the same tips to colleagues and I remembered this video.
Me
I still come back here to watch Ingrid and I love this video!!! She is so wise!!!
This is so applicable to my life right now. My business is doing pretty well and I'm living in my office these days
What business do you own
Papered Kiss!
Anna S I recently started a sticker shop on Etsy for Erin Condren planners :) You wouldn't think it'd be that big, but we're doing super well! I've been working pretty much nonstop!
You go girl!
+NessaIrene I just started a vlog channel please go check it out any support means a lot!
Needed this OHSO badly, lady Nilsen! Thankyoo kindly!
Same, Melanie
A much needed video for me when school starts tommorow!
yeah when i was working from home i found that it was really difficult to feel like my home wasn't a job - definitely glad to get out of the house now and go to an office.
Love ur channel! +Kasey Chen
HOW DID YOU GET 1K SUBS IN 2 MONTHS???!?!?!? I've been on RUclips for longer than a year and I just recently hit 100 *sigh*
+Reilly Koebel I feel you girl
Your videos are so great! Would love you to sub back? :)
Shower as a way to switch yourself to a relaxing/personal evening mode is a great idea! 👍
This is the best work from home routine I've seen till date! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
I never thought I'd need this video... but now that we all have to work from home... here I am lol!!
monkey haha 100%
This video is also great for homeschoolers! I've only been homeschooled for 2 years but this is super helpful :)
Yes same!! It is so helpful
download champcash from play store registere and use refer ID 2917910. to earn unlimited. my number +919736887176
It is really helpful for homeschoolers! =D
Gabby Marie yasssss!
Agreed!
This video makes you feel like working without stopping the whole day!
+my DIYtifuLife (Marina GM) I know! I'm like "What am I doing?! Why can't I just be like Ingrid and work efficiently and not procrastinate like I always do?"
Rissa T hahaha absolutely!!
+Rissa T ditto ;)
+my DIYtifuLife (Marina GM) ditto ;)

Who else miss ingrid's old videos?🙋
+Christina Zheng Why are so many people commenting this like pls stop
+Shelby Rush thank you!!!!
What do you mean???
I was missing her old video too, but in this one I see the little thing that I love
+Sona Gasparian I love your videos too! I also have a beauty channel and I can't wait to grow as much as you have :))
omg i love your backdrop! I wish i could balance youtube and school but I can't get that balance right either! I'd love to be able to work from home when I get a job :)
you look adorable with your hair like this
or anytime but especially with your hair like this
I don't work from home but I do commute to school.
In the morning, take a walk for 15-20 minutes in place of your commute to work :)
Striped shirts in da house!!! I work from home and this video was so helpful! Love ya Ingrid:)
Loved this a lot. The way it's filmed is stunning!
I sent this video to my mom who just started working from home
I sent it to my mom too :))

My mom sent me this

hi, i am loving your thumbnails.
I hope one day i'll be able to work for myself!! that is seriously my ultimate goal
These tips are useful for homeschooling too!!! #HomeschoolingIsTheBest
I love your little bun 😍😜😘
*topknot, lol. I can never pull one off 😜
It can always be a messy topknot 😋
I do home school so this is really helpful.
me too haha
me too!!!
Same!
Ditto!
So cute, my souls felt like it went to a spa after watching this.
"WAKE DA EFF UP" OH MY GOD😂😂😂
Yes to all of this! I have worked from home for 4 years and I literally do all of these steps. Good advice!
you're helping me. I'm stuck staying at home, doing nothing for several months now although I have a bunch of things, homework, projects to do. Thanks Ingrid
this just came at a perfect time for me ! thank you! love you !
Love this video!!!!
+brittyy44 hey hey awesome to see you here. Was watching some of the RUclips videos in creators academy.
YOUR HAIR
+Mandeville Sisters Same!!! Especially when I try to make any kind of "messy" bun. My messy bun takes messy to a whole new level. XD
Same 😂 I tried this half-up-half-down bun once and when I thought it looked okay, my mom told me my bun looks like a squirrel😂😔
Thankyou Ingrid!! Ive been stressing out with my college assignments and this has helped me a lot!
I thought Ingrid cut her hair?
Pre-filmed
+neon5311 I was thinking the same thing:'D
+neon5311 Hey guys!! Can you please help me reach 1000 views on my cover of My Heart Will Go On? It would mean the world to me!! I'm new to uploading videos on here and any support will be very much appreciated
It's probably pre filmed
+neon5311 surely because currently she's in London with Hannah
your kitty is the cutest omg
Anyone else noticed her initials are in between her eyebrows when she talks? O_O
Leo Theo oh ya haha
LOL SO COOL
whoa
Wow, that’s true!
What the...?! You're right! How trippy.
I love all of Ingrid's "organizational" themed videos because they make me feel like being productive!
I am convinced some people just can't work from home. Which is fine! We are all different 😋
+Brianna Elizabeth I didn't think I could until I was pretty much forced too. It's hard to get into that right mindset, but once you do, it just feels like any other work day.
I always find doing a 10 minute exercise helps me get into work mode, especially if I just want to lounge about.
+Katie K samee
stripped shirts 😍😍😍
*striped :)
+Sakina Kayani whoops! Haha
+Yeselie Denise Haha, stripped shirts is a very different concept to the one you intended I'm sure :')
+Yeselie Denise Love your videos!!!
Looove striped shirts at the moment 😍
I'm homeschooled, and my gosh, is she right about EVERYTHING. Especially about getting dressed. I love the extra tips.
+CastleFlameGal you're just 21, you have plenty of time to find what your true passion is :)
I think a good thing to do is to get a part time job or something and use that extra time to find out what you want to do. Maybe take some classes?
If you are really driven to make a living out of something you like to do, you will have to make some efforts, and it will not come easily. Sometimes all it takes is an idea and start working on it, sometimes you have to find the right company (a lot of companies take remote employees, like designers or accountants).
Good luck!!
Florencia Pinochet
Thanks for the advice.
Every job has good and bad points, good and bad days, and unless you're lucky enough to not have to worry about bills and supporting yourself, we just have to suck it up sometimes!👍🏼 It's life!
nugget is adorable
how old is this video?! ur hair is so long
+R Kammen It's probably pre-filmed, I think she is traveling right now!
+LizzieCherie92 Yes her video is prefilmed and shes in london atm!
It's gotta be pre-vidcon so at least over a month old.
+R Kammen she wrote about hedwig tickets on her list so it must have been around the time she saw that.
Well if you look at her phone in tip 1 it says that the date is august 15th so the video is about 2 weeks old.
#blessed my college grades are gonna thank you 😭😭
Oh and the post-it idea to hide other things when your lists are too long, GENIUS!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️️❤️️❤️️
THUMBS UP FOR INGRID TO DO A NIGHT ROUTINE
Where do you work?? I'm trying to be a stay at home mom and can't seem to find much.. Any ideas?? Anyone, feel free to answer!!
I'm a lefty too! 😆
I love that idea. Cover the remaining items and go down one by one. I love working from home but yes I agree with you organization is key.
This is exactly what I needed..being a RUclipsr, you def get distracted and uninspired at times..thanks love :) x
LOVE U XXXOXOXOXOXO
aw lil nugget
working at home is definitely hard and frustrating. but can be nice.. one thing i would like to do in the future, but even just working on my online class at home is tough! thanks for this video. very helpful xxx :)
Looking rather Parisian in the striped top...x
Stunning as always, your quality is always GOALS!
You're left handed?
shairi _ yes she is
That way it's easier to not get accidentally sucked into work when checking for an email from mom or something. ;)
