You mention a free training webinar, "Six Steps to Securing Scholarships." Is this the same webinar as "How to Secure Scholarships for College"? I just viewed that one two days ago.
Hey, I'm a single mother with 2kids , the first born is in grade 6 and the second born is in grade 3, please may I get scholarship for the one who is in grade 6, I hope by next year she'll be in junior secondary. Thank you.
No. Scholarships are available all year! Most local/regional/state scholarships have deadlines ending in May. National scholarships are available year round.
If a child was awarded over $500,000, was that for four years? Even if that covered everything, including room and board, there had to be a lot of that money that would have been unused; correct? Surely, all that excess would not have been sent to him in overages? Would that depend on how much was awarded for each semester? I need to find a book entitled "Scholarships for Dummies 101."
Yes. It would be for as long it took the student to complete their education, 4-5 years. Colleges manage finances by academic period, either semester or quarter. After direct expenses are paid for, overage checks are given to the student to be used for indirect expenses such as off-campus housing, travel, books, or other expenses.
@@TheScholarshipSystem So, if the school has $500,000 in scholarships/funding for this child (and the child is doing four years), how is an overage calculated before the child has completed his four years? I have some crazy ideas, but I would rather hear the facts of how this really works.
What day and time of the week would work best for your family to work on scholarships?
I think two hours per week sounds unrealistic. Big fellowships are asking for a lot in short time with verifications. I agree about essays authorship.
Sundays are what my daughter decided.
Sundays
Scholarship Sundays are a great idea. My daughter is a 7th grader, but we're already trying to navigate the land of scholarships.
It helps to start early! There are many scholarships for all ages!
We like Sundays!
I like Sundays too!
Sunday will work for our family
I like the idea of Scholarship Sundays.
