These videos are always super helpful. I actually just shared a similar one, but these videos have helped me find scholarships I didn't know to apply to before. I was thankfully also able to get $20k in private scholarships in 4 months! Applying to local scholarships really helps!
Hi Adanna! For sure. I think then at that point it's not a matter of quantity of how many scholarships you applied to but the quality of your application. You do not need to have stellar grades but I would look at the strength of your essays (assuming you had to write essays?) and try to make them stronger (better storytelling). I don't know if you did this but all the scholarships I won were specifically for Koreans. Perhaps that principle can apply to you as well. I'll make a video explaining how I wrote my scholarship essays.
@@sharonyeunkimbruh what bs advice “ write better “ “ be korean “ scholarships are such bs you’ll apply to 150 and be awarded nothing it’s literally a dam scratch off

Girl! This video is so fantastic! You are so smart and you made this video and these concepts so easy to understand with your great storytelling and organization. Thank you so much, this video motivates me to apply and to know where to start.
You inspire me so much! I have been accepted to a graduate program and am trying to find as many scholarship opportunities as possible. I'd like to hear more about how to write winning essays! Also, it seems that the OTEFE Foundation webpage doesn't exist anymore. Is this always this way or are they not offering scholarships anymore?
Hi Jiwan! Thanks so much for the note that is so kind of you! I'll be scripting how to write essays soon :) Also, I checked for OTEFE~ it seems the webpage is working fine? So weird it's not...I would google OTEFE foundation in Google then maybe it might show up there.
what do you do when you have no story to tell? when you've not nothing extraordinary, when your life hasn't been extraordinary, when your own story is told over and over again by the other in your community because it's so common and is at this point overused? I've had no spectacular achievements, just the same ones that nearly everyone at my level has had. like I'm completely average among the others go to school with (I'm a 2nd year college student)
Since that’s a major basis of merit based scholarships, prioritize those/initiate some of those activities ASAP. Just because you haven’t done it yet, doesn’t mean it’s too late to start! If not, try for need based.
What are your thoughts on video contests? I've got my eye on a few of those (such as making a drunk driving psa, defining "your life in a box", etc) because while I'm a capable essay writer, I'm an art student and love any excuse to get creative
This is really great advice! Your video has definitely been the most helpful of any scholarship advice I have found on the internet so far. This is motivating me to begin applying to more scholarships again!
Thank you so much!! This is extremely helpful, especially knowing that i can use the same story for each one, it is a big time saver. I will definitely lean more into my niches now. I use to always apply to the generic ones and never win.
Hello! I am a junior rn and i am currently unsure if i should focus on scholarships that more closely align with my intended major or purely monetary ones. I have alr applied to one more biology focused, and one just for money scholarship. At this point in time while im still building my resume which one should i devote my time to?
Can you help me to get in scholarship i m find 5 months to scholarship i have finicial issue i have dream to study abroad and discover new cultures but i dont know how to i get schlorship 😢
If you win a scholarship and it goes to your school, if you made enough in scholarships to pay the cost of tuition that semester, will it still be able to stay in your account for the following semester?
More than ethnicity or background, point is to niche down into what could make you different. Could even be a local scholarship only offered to people in your city/school. Or women’s only scholarship for example. Doesn’t have to just be ethnicity- I just happened to find a lot of scholarships based on that as an example

Well if it covers the cost for the first semester, then whatever is leftover will do so.
