I love your take on mainstream recipes, but when you go full on to Italy, there is an added spark to your presentation. I always appreciate the rustic nature of Italian food. What a simple recipe that's right in my wheelhouse. Well done.
Used to grow 25 to 50 tomato plants, garlic, etc per year. Can't do it any more. But I still grow cherry tomatoes and basil in containers. This is a wonderful, basic and delicious recipe. Thanks Laura.
Such simple and good recipe. And I agree with you Laura - my Italian friends from Italy use a hint of garlic to perfume the oil. Nothing overpowering- high quality ingredients makes the best simple delicious food.
I would say good morning since it’s 5:50am here in 🇯🇵… wow just looking at it, i must say, it’s really delicious… I’ll make it later. 🥰 thank you for that simple yet delicious recipe. I really love pasta recipe. I already made one with vodka sauce and it’s perfectly tastes good. 🥰 stay safe and God bless you always
Since it's early in the morning in Japan, you'll make these Spaghetti for lunch. Perhaps they are not so suitable for breakfast. 😉 Greetings from Italy ! 🇮🇹 Ciao ! 👋
After I watched this video yesterday, I had the biggest craving for this recipe. Went out this morning and bought ingredients to make it, absolutely delicious!!!
There are some really good canned cherry tomatoes from Italy. Very sweet and delicious. It’s what I use in winter. This is my favorite way to eat pasta. Love watching you cook.
It’s ding dang perfect is right that is absolutely delicious I can just imagine the smell that brought back memories of my nonna when she use to make her fresh tomato sauce there’s nothing better then eating food that brings back memories and good times thanks take care
This is my favorite way to make pasta. I'm not a big fan of heavy, thick red sauce, and this is perfect for me. Who knew it's a real thing lol. I call it my pantry pasta. So good!
Ciao, nice video, thank you for this.. my father was originated from puglia, a town near taranto, so i love pasta..many greetings from brunswick in germany and please stay safe 🙃
I am amazed at how little oregano you use in your dishes. I personally dont like oregani. But Americans think oregano goes in all Italian dishes. I love to watch you cook. I can eat your dishes.
I grow them in my garden in 8a NW Louisiana too. They will grow all year and be perennial if you put them in the greenhouse (they will fruit in the greenhouse!) when the weather dips below 50. Thanks for the recipe Will definitely be using it as I have 2 of these plants about to get going for my fall garden!
Young lady, very nice recipe & looks delicious. If someone can't make this, especially with a written recipe, they are in a world of hurt. I watched a show on food network called " worst cooks in america", these folks couldn't boil water, I thought it was a comedy sitcom, seriously, it was unreal. I'm 58 yr old & taught to cook at age 9
I love those tomatoes 🍅 And your right they are delicious. It's like they have sugar all ready lol. But anything from ur own garden is much better then the market. I have a small garden with a little of everything 3 kind of tomatoes Zucchini, peppers, Eggplant 2 kind, Parsley, mint, basil Amaranth greens, For boiling( like spinach ) And few more At 62 it keeps me busy lolol. See u soon 💓
When i first arrived America by myself and i only have one pot from ikea, i made pasta almost every single day for 6 months, because it’s the easiest thing to make.
This recipe is now my favourite go to. Simple and tasty. And especially on days that I don't have the energy from long working hours.... Mmmmmmmm delicious.
Omg it looks so delicious! I'm making it this weekend! I love simpler recipes, and I love how passionate you are in this video. Great advice for novice cooks BTW, I wish someone told me something similar when I started cooking, lol.
This is a perfect easy sauce for any day or event, when I am not making meatballs, sausage, and sauce is different... this is refreshing and I'm making it👍❤️
That is an awesome dish… I make similar to this but I don’t use oil or garlic or basil…. I love it with just tomatoes and salt 😜😜 this looks so good I will do it this way too
I was feeling real down, but then had a notification of your video, saw it and made it at the same time (but with San Marzano tomatoes) and am feeling happy with a full tummy at 00:40 am 🤣 Jetlag sucks 🤣
Making it this week. Thank you! Plus what you were saying about starting with simple dishes is EXACTLY how I taught myself to cook and gained confidence to try more involved recipes :).
Thank you so much for this recipe. I bought some small tomatoes that tasted divine! and I used this recipe. My roommate and I are so touched by what I made.
Wonderful dish and recipe but many Italians including my maternal and fraternal grandparents who all immigrated from Italy, loved to use garlic both in minced and chopped forms. They were world class cooks especially when it came to their tomato sauce recipes. You can't generalize on preferences for different ingredients such as garlic, basil, oregano, etc. If you want to take this classic dish to another level, mix in some Mascarpone cheese toward the end. You won't regret it.
Wow, I'd say WELL DONE!!! The video helped me a lot. Shared knowledge is of prime importance. One of the most useful contents in my life. ♡ I love all these videos!
I make this all the time, im addicted to it 🙈 I do peel the tomatoes, because i have this weird thing that i dont like the skin when its been cooked or heated. 😅 oh and i put the garlic trough a press and keep it in. Love my garlic 👌
My mom gave me some of her sweet grape tomatoes a few days ago but I've been too busy to cook. Fast forward to 8 hours ago when I got the notification for this video, but I've been too busy to watch. It's 1:27 am, been busy now, chasing a giant elusive mosquito so I watched and am kicking myself because I've got all the ingredients on my kitchen counter. I could've had this for supper 😒
3:32 "I've got some fresh basil from the garlic..." LOL gave me the giggles
I love your take on mainstream recipes, but when you go full on to Italy, there is an added spark to your presentation. I always appreciate the rustic nature of Italian food. What a simple recipe that's right in my wheelhouse. Well done.
I can’t wait to make this! Fresh tomatoes, great extra virgin olive oil, garlic and pasta is so easy and absolutely delicious.
Used to grow 25 to 50 tomato plants, garlic, etc per year. Can't do it any more. But I still grow cherry tomatoes and basil in containers. This is a wonderful, basic and delicious recipe. Thanks Laura.
