Hearing this song takes me back to when I was a young boy. Shocking, how much time has passed. I'm 63 now. Sad, how Lynn's life turned out. Now I'm in the twilight of life now, not recognizing at all, the America I grew up in. Unless I escape to the passed on sites like RUclips.
I haven't hesrd this in years, let alone think of it. I was thinking of some other songs and out of nowhere this song popped into my head, but didn't know who sang it, wasn't even sure of the song when l searched RUclips. Anyway, glad l found it, and good to hear it again 🙂 I didn't know she was no longer with us 😪 RIP Lynn
Another #1 hit for Lynn Anderson on the Country & Western charts. It was the 216th #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. It also hit #1 on the Canadian RPM Country Tracks charts, #14 on the Canadian Adult Contemporary charts, and #30 on the U.S. Adult Contemporary charts.
On the day I heard she died,I'm declaring this as my favourite Lynn track......and yes, because of the unfortunate lighting, she does look like Iiz McDonald of Coronation Street!

@lynnfan Wow - I actually remember this. (It seems a must have heard a lot of country songs "by osmosis".) Yes, she and Jeannie C Riley were definitely country's hot women!
you're absolutely correct . In the first half of the '70s decade - she was THE biggest of all the female country singers - including Dolly, Loretta, etc.
I KNOW A LITTLE TO LATE BUT I KNOW I CAN NOT..LORD KNOWS I TRIED..HOW HAVE OTHERS HERE WHO R READING THIS DONE THIS..GOT OVER AND MOVED ON WHEN THE LOVE WAS STILL THERE BUT U DID NOT REALIZE IT UNTIL IT WAS TO LATE..? PLS TELL ME

Lynn was the first singer I fell in love with.... I was just six years old.
I wouldn't unsay them if i could. I meant them everyone!!!! Plain and Simple. I loved Lynn Anderson then and still do.
Gorgeous and gifted. No doubt about it.
That gorgeous mane of hers…I always wanted beautiful hair like that. Love her voice.
The real queen of country music looks and voice no one is even in her class period

This is my favorite Lynn Anderson song, or at least one of my favorites! Glad to see this on here!
This lady was a true entertainer and not just a good singer!
I bought the 45 of this song - and really enjoyed it. I didn't know it was written by Joe South.
What a Goddess!!! So young, sexy and gorgeous!!! No wonder she was Nashville's Golden Girl back in the day (70s).

the lighting makes her teeth look spaced ... not the case. She was a beauty.

A true dramatic coloratura soprano for bluegrass
Lynn Anderson was really the queen of country music back in the 1960s and the 1970s - not Loretta Lynn
you're absolutely correct . In the first half of the '70s decade - she was THE biggest of all the female country singers - including Dolly, Loretta, etc.
She couldn't hold a candle to Loretta , she could sing but never surpassed Loretta❗
@@soundrafontenot6986 your opinion. I like Loretta & Lynn Anderson, however, I like Lynn A. the best.
