When I was a little boy I saw her perform at the half time show at that San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo and got to shake her hand. Most performers would come out and ride around the arena in the back of a convertible waving at everyone before taking the stage out in the middle. Not her. Lynn comes out wearing a blue sequin outfit and white cowboy hat riding a white horse like she was born in the saddle and goes all the way around the arena shaking hands and talking to all us kids hanging off the rails and took her sweet time to make sure she got to talk to everyone. I was only 5 yrs old and had just been adopted, after having survived the worst abuse a child or, anyone for that matter could have been been forced to live through. It was my only comfort when I finally realized that, life is still not roses and sweet smelling flowers... And never was... However, this little old beige colored radio was my lifeline, it was what helped me through the darkness and cruelty in life. When this song was on top she performed at the fair near Paris TN. My brother and I were just little kids. We worked our way to the stage stairs. Brings back memories of his buddies who were KIA in VN or have passed since DEROS.
The strings and backup vocals, just thrilled me!
She sounds the same. Its amazing.
Back in the day, she was an absolute knock out.
She has such a pretty voice. I always loved this song. ♥️
Hi 👋🏻❤️
I had youtube playing while looking at another screen and this song came up. So I only was heearing it. When I clicked over to see the screen... OMG! Can't BELIEVE this is Lynn Anderson's voice in 2011. Wow!!!! Based only on hearing the sound, I really thought this was some TV show live version from 1971 or 1972. 40 years after her original recording of the song, her voice is still spot on here!
So cute she still sings that song among others very well
Love her pink cowgirl outfit & Pink hat and beautiful cross earrings. Very cheery while snging .
Hey how are you doing..?😊
Wow so Impressive !!!!! I remember this song so well when I was a little kid in Irvington NJ . My late beloved parents played this record often !¡!!!!
She's still got the golden pipes.
Yes she did 5 decades ago & even now. Her legendary singing voice will carry on. RIP Lynnn!
She could still belt it out. Great voice and intonation.
I remember I was 17 yrs old at the time this song came out. I was working at the marine base as a summer job hire. The Marines Corp had posters “ I never promised you a rose garden.” 🌹
Just keep watching this video. Just love watching her performances on youtube. Always loved this song. Love her personality when she sings. Miss her so much
No puedo creer que haya muerto 😢!
One of my very few good memories of a difficult childhood...i lived in Southern California and heard this song 100 times and always made/makes me feel so happy- Queen 👑 and beautiful soul.... RIP Sending you all the love and light I have 💜🔥💜🔥💜🔥

@@sandibergen2523 how are you doing, hope you are safe from the Virus?
So sad, just discovered that she passed away in 2015. One of country music's most significant performers, she will always be remembered.
That Vocals .. after all those Years ... wow :D Love it, R.I.P. .. and keep singing up there ;)
The best! The lyrics are so on point. Just a great song!
When this song was on top she performed at the fair near Paris TN. My brother and I were just little kids. We worked our way to the stage stairs. I wanted a kiss and he wanted her autograph on his shirt. She kissed my cheek with a big smile and signed his shirt. Lynn, Brother, Shirt, and Kiss are all gone now - but the memory remains. Till I have passed and then it's gone too. Thankfully music survives forever.
Beautiful memories ❤
What a great performance here by Lynn and the band with the string section is just spectacular, keeping great music alive !
What a golden performance by Lynn Anderson and the awesome band...
