Bella Coola Hill in Winter

- A drive down The Hill on a spectacular sunny winter day in January. Watching now makes me a bit dizzy but it was not so bad at the time even though I was driving with one hand. Note: it's steeper than it looks and I stopped filming before the really steep part! Sorry about the dirty windshield. Enjoy!

Always loved Bella Coola and especially the views from the Hill. Still love the fact that two guys, some dozers, dynamite and some beers built this road
Yes, it seems like travel speed was too fast even to me. But speed was actually very moderate and totally safe. It's an effect of the camera that makes it seem like the speed is too fast. There are several other videos of driving down the hill that you will see the same effect. If you zoom the camera it multiplies the effect even more.
yeah. that looked kind of fast considering there might have been traffic coming the other way. And I remember filming a scary section on the Baja highway which didn't look scary in the film so I can imagine that this is scarier than it looks
This is the perfect video of how not to drive on the hill even in summer!
You must be running a great set of tires. I'd be a wee bit concerned on that road in those road conditions.
