I have found this to be 100% correct. Just had mine re tuned, by a different tuner than the install shop that tuned it after install. Picked up 44 more whp, drivability is just like stock now, gained 1.5mpg back, and now have great power throughout all rpm range, but the performance and sound of the Stage 4 cam. have you noticed any difference in power or reliability after so long? I want to cam my camaro but it being my only car I don't want to buy a daily, for my daily
I got an 06 Mustang GT that's cammed and has alot done to it and I know exactly what you're talking about. At low speeds it jumps big time and it's definitely different and it's rhe same with it hating low speeds of below like 40 like you said and i hate low speeds and i wanna just do like 50 mph just because of it. All in all it's a great car but that stuff does get annoying and you aren't lying about the attention it gets,as a matter of fact i just had 2 guys in a truck back up a red light and asked me to hit the gas just a little so i did and they started cracking up and said,DAYUM she's mean and sounds good. Lol..She does sound damn good and look even better so yeah she's a monster of a machine and she's pushing about 450 HP.
Ya if this is an auto which it seems like it is, there's no excuse for keeping the stock converter. That's one of the first mods you should do to an auto, and if you're putting a big cam in, then you definitely want to get one.
my silverado says i get 16 mpg but i dont believe that lol. I go through a full tank in about 5-6 days and i dont even drive a whole lot. 50$ every week

Yeah I'd rather pay the 20-30$ difference of someone else doing it and then check over the oil level and be on my way. The people talking about "do your own oil changes" are silly.
These are older posts I see so....the thing that's making it jerk around would be just tuning the car. Other than that you'd have to get used to driving differently otherwise you shouldn't be experiencing that. Very high lift cams are not streetable. They're ment for high rpm launches...and if your worried about gas mileage you may love to own a hot Vette but you'll never be able to afford one with that kind of thinking. Happy cruising!
You're not a true gearhead if you can't handle dailying a car with a cammed engine. During the summer months, I drive a car with a 505" big block, and a .737" lift, 315°@.050 duration, solid roller cam. I love it! If you're worried about gas mileage, quit whining, and buy a 4-cylinder car.
too much cam thats why. you need a cam that fits your driving style and needs. Watch your LSA. lower the LSA the choppier and no low end torque. watch your duration as well.
What you need to do is fill the tank up all the way til it clicks and then reset your trip meter and when u fuel up do the math and get the actual mpg.
Jay A Lay not really..... all you gotta do is fuel up all the way. Once you feel the need to fuel up again just look at how many miles you drove and divide that with how many gallons you put in and bam you got a REAL mpg reading. What I do is I start to LEARN my cars average mpg and if something is off I know it's time to tune up.
Who cares? Changing your own oil today isn't worth the hassle anymore. It doesn't cost hardly any more to run it in these days than it does to do it yourself.
Chevyblock 550 I can't exactly remember this soundtrack but yeah it's very loud and it's decently quick man still have a lot of work for the future for it!!
Please explain your supported mods and who tuned it I am pretty sure you never tuned it because I’ve heard ones that were not tuned with a cam/cat delete and that is the worst idea possible honestly a proper tune and support mods make it low maintenance if tuned correctly please be more forth right with your information

Point of the story......find a real good tuner! True story!
Lol sounds like four reasons not to cam your car if it’s your only car. I just bought a 2010 ss and love everything about it fuel does suck but I didn’t buy a ls3 for fuel economy
Same I have a Hyundai Elantra as a second car
“If you hit a bump… it’ll get bumpy, you know.”
Reasons not to daily a cammed car.... proceeds to vlog the most mundane day in the life. 8 minutes wasted
Wait why you not doing your own oilchange?
I daily mine and cover about 25k in miles a year lol
Ryan yeah I've had mine for 2 years and have put 25,000 on it .
have you noticed any difference in power or reliability after so long? I want to cam my camaro but it being my only car I don't want to buy a daily, for my daily
Damn that’s over 5k in gas alone lol
What are you getting for mpg on the highway and city? Just curious how bad the damage will be to my pocketbook.
@@calitalia2000 on Interstate at 75 I get 20.6
Now stop and go is different...down to 7 if I am listening to it roar.
Lol..She does sound damn good and look even better so yeah she's a monster of a machine and she's pushing about 450 HP.
why did you look like you were suffering from indigestion the entire video?
Rip Bankroll 💸
What’s a “quarter and a half”? If added that would be 3/4’s.
Probably meant halfway between a quarter and a half..3/8’s
Sorry I'm late, if your engine/car is choppy on bumpy roads, it's because your foot is bouncing on the gas-pedal... Throttle-body is reacting to THAT.
Needs a stall torque converter that’s why it jumps and doesn’t like low speed or rpms
Ya if this is an auto which it seems like it is, there's no excuse for keeping the stock converter. That's one of the first mods you should do to an auto, and if you're putting a big cam in, then you definitely want to get one.
Since when will a stall converter help with a manual trans? 🙄 Wise up.
my silverado says i get 16 mpg but i dont believe that lol. I go through a full tank in about 5-6 days and i dont even drive a whole lot. 50$ every week
Lol i do $45 every two days in my Camaro ss daily drive it 40 miles a day
That’s good gas mileage wtf. I have to fill up every two days.
The fact that this was reccomended to me and then i noticed its in the same town as me was too funny
Tune?
Car sounds great.
4 reasons to cam your camaro
Go to the store to buy the oil and filter, jack my shit up, going under the car, pulling out some tools to swap everything, then clean up because it's not really possible to get the filter out without dripping atleast some oil on the driveway, then button everything up and pour the used oil into the old container and take it to the store to dispose of it. Yeah I'd rather pay the 20-30$ difference of someone else doing it and then check over the oil level and be on my way. The people talking about "do your own oil changes" are silly.
That Mustang punked you!
randy higgins that was my buddy I told him to fly by 👍🏻
That mustang would destroy you
Matthew Pierce haha idk about that!
Nice set up i got mine cam with 4.11
Cristian Rufino damn how is the driveability with such low gears AND a cam
Its running to rich you need to lean it out so it wont putter like that, it probably does that when you turn it off too
the low rpm jerking, because it wants to run like a race car.
During the summer months, I drive a car with a 505" big block, and a
.737" lift, 315°@.050 duration, solid roller cam. I love it!
If you're worried about gas mileage, quit whining, and buy a 4-cylinder car.
too much cam thats why. you need a cam that fits your driving style and needs. Watch your LSA. lower the LSA the choppier and no low end torque. watch your duration as well.
Leave the manifolds on and the factory exhaust. You might be glad you did. I took off my longtubes and the car feels so much better I can't explain
Please explain why to leave them on ? @thekingscene
Youre buggin
If your car is "better on manifolds", your tune was WAY off. It's been proven over and over that headers are better than manifolds by a long shot.
Car bucks at 40?!?! What lol
A factory car will buck at 40 if its in the wrong gear also
I daily camm my Camaro. 106 miles a day 530 miles a week. Just change your oil on time treat her good and she does good
Like your style pal
Video begins @ 2:22
Sounds like u need a tuner if that's where ya cam starts bucking
What you need to do is fill the tank up all the way til it clicks and then reset your trip meter and when u fuel up do the math and get the actual mpg.
Cihan Ugur dont forget to write down the exact amt of gallons you put in....cuz its miles/gallons of fuel.
Cihan Ugur u just stated exactly what i just said bruh.
Reason 1 hard not to go wot on mustangs. Reason 2 hard to order at drive thru. Reason 3 to much fun. Reason 4 burn thru to many tires burning out.
You in Tampa?
Change the motor and trans but take your car to the dealer for oil change ?
Who cares? Changing your own oil today isn't worth the hassle anymore. It doesn't cost hardly any more to run it in these days than it does to do it yourself.
What's the genre of the first song
What is your soundtrack? I love it. Love the car, too. Must be fast and loud.
Chevyblock 550 I can't exactly remember this soundtrack but yeah it's very loud and it's decently quick man still have a lot of work for the future for it!!
That is one cool car for sure. Do you know who at least made the soundtrack?
What muffler do u have
Please explain your supported mods and who tuned it I am pretty sure you never tuned it because I’ve heard ones that were not tuned with a cam/cat delete and that is the worst idea possible honestly a proper tune and support mods make it low maintenance if tuned correctly please be more forth right with your information
Which cam did u buy i own a 2014 ss
I usually say my car doesn’t like to stop it likes to go, those low speeds and rpm’s suck
I like some the things but I didnt believe this would be so cool. It's definitly not new to think like better fuel economy or oil change economy!
I saw u last week on pensacola drag race, I was thinking of racing u but I blew up my engine last time i went to the drag race . I have the white 1le idk if u noticed it lol . Nice camaro 👍🏻
yea i saw it lol im always looking for more 1le's
Trae Adams same lol
Didn't know y'all was from pcola. Wazuuupp
joe man I'm in pcb but come up there to the track!!
Mobile 1/4 mile
LQ9 or Alluminum 6.0?
You’re in Panama City lit😎🔥 might have to get a few pictures and videos of the car
Kejun Jackson hell yeah man
Trae Adams gotta car page???
Kejun Jackson I have one called DailyDrivenMuscle on insta but don't really post on it
That’s alright I don’t post on mine neither after I sold my mustang GT
lol. This video should be titled "My tuner sucks Bigtime!"
Why does this Camaro have the same steering wheel as my Sonic???
Yaboii Marc because you’re a tool who replaced your Sonic wheel with a Camaro steering wheel.
Dr. Akula no really that's the exact steering wheel that comes stock with the car lol
Yaboii Marc It’s cool dude, I was just busting on you. It’s all good.
Yaboii Marc it was in the Camaro first. Trickle down. Why develop a new steering wheel for every model, when you can put a single wheel/gauge cluster/seats/brakes/etc. etc. etc into every model? Development costs for something as simple as a steering wheel would surprise you (in the seven-figure range).
Yaboii Marc bahahahaha Because it is not a gen 6? Lol
I daily a 65 C10 with the gas mileage of 5 mpg on a good day.
Ill have ya know i love my camed daily but the gas pump loves it more but there is no reason not to cam a daily
Tune tune tune I have a VVT-3 cam and don’t have those problems
Cammed? What what does cammed mean
Do you live in Panama City fl? Looks familiar
Luke Rodgers I do!
cool video
You have to have a cam otherwise it won’t run. Need something to open and close the valves
Cam? Put on a quieter exhaust!
What’s all that racket sounds ? Is it a dezel?
Yea it's the Jake Brake 🤣🤣
WTF is a "dezel"? Obviously YOU'RE not a car guy. 🙄
What year is the car
Call Dyno Speed in Memphis Tennessee and ask for josh he’s a wiz at cammed ls engines and he’s makes big hp an you’d still get great mpg
Pretty bad when you have a built camaro and still go to the dealer for an oil change lol …. Did they give you that sweet short throw dip stick? 😂😂😂
