I’m basically following this but don’t know the optimal way to hang the pegboard on the wall. That seems to be a common question in the comments below. Because you need a small gap behind the pegboard I am using 1 x 2 lumber (laid flat) for framing. Of course the trick that she uses here of screwing the trim in from behind won’t work since you have to fasten the completed pegboard to the framing & wall. The way I have decided to do this is to add the trim last and simply use nails with small heads that I can counter set slightly so that there’s very little cosmetic cleanup necessary.
Where'd you get the paint and paint roller? I'm going to get a pegboard from Ikea and I want to paint it blue. Its much smaller than this, but I have no idea where to get the paint. Thanks in advance ;)
I like this, looks clean! I'm wondering though, how did you hang the peg board to the wall. Did you drill a few screws through the existing holes or on the material itself on a stud?
I have seen many pegboards here on RUclips but this is my favorite because you build your own wood containers for storage . Love it
Thanks for your kind comment! ~Chelsea

It would be good to show how to hang the pegboard since it has to stand out a bit from the wall for space behind to insert hooks...:)
LC you can buy a pegboard spacer installation kit for abut $9 on Amazon that doesn’t require wood furring strips
Please post how to cut 45degree angles on a miter saw!

Hi Theresa! Can you lean it against something? Or you can use a few screws to secure it to a wall.

I put 1 x 2 on the wall behind the frame.
You didn't show how to mount this on the wall.
You are freaking awesome!!!!
This is how you make youtube videos..... easy and understandable.
I wish pegboard was more readily available in colors..it's so annoying that you can only find the brown and sometimes white..
James Pyle just paint it!
@@justmydeals That's a lot of work and doesn't hold as long. I hate painting.
James Pyle I bought pre-primed. Painting was a breeze. Two coats with a roller, waited a week for it to cure, and it’s perfect.
