I'll be moving into my huge "she shed" workshop soon, and I wanted to make a pretty, large framed pegboard to organize my tools and supplies in my workshop! I also wanted to make custom organizers for the pegboard.

Thank you!! I wanted to make even more boxes, along with some larger boxes and more specialty shaped ones, but I will make those one I move the pegboard into my shop and figure out what other items need to be stored! I'll get more wallpaper too!! :)

@@ThriftDiving You did!! So I have a question! I bought the white pegboard and painted it, waited for it to dry a whole day. Then this morning I tried to stencil it and when I pulled up the stencil to move to the 2nd section, it pulled up the pink color underneath all over the place in different spots. I then just scraped the pink part with my fingernail and it came right up, like it didn't bond at all! Do you know what would cause that? I thought the white pegboard was pre-primed. Now my husband, who paints houses for a living, said that the only way to save this project is to flip it over and prime the backside and use that side... But that side isn't smooth like the front. I'm mortified at that thought. 😥 Any ideas on how to save the front side without having to go buy a whole new sheet?

Love how it turned out. I need wall organization and wasn’t crazy about pegboard. I had wondered if there was a way to frame it. I was looking at videos on how to mount it to the wall and saw your video. Now I feel better about using pegboard.

Hello. Girl you are so creative and talented. I would like a peg board to put up in my garage for my supplies. Yours turned out amazing with the frame and the wall paper. I love it!🥰
interesting idea with the wall paper..I am considering the box idea using slightly charred wooden boards.. sho sugi bon style..lightly burned then sanded and sealed with a clear coat.. it would match the platform loft bed in my mancave / studio.. and then probably the custom desktop I am making for my standing desk... as for the pegboard.. I am using the ikea pegboard. which i might see if I can char, or char stencil ( where you place a non burnable flat shaped item in front of the board to resist the char, and it creates a design, like any other stencil... but that for another day)

I got an electric nailer and yeah it's kind of iffy at best they go in but then they don't sometimes so I am so sold on your Naylor I am going to Jet out and get me one today

Is there a reason why you did the nails on the front of the pegboard framing and not the back? Maybe if done through the back, the 3/4" would work and it would be less work since you wouldn't have to fill the holes, sand, and paint after nailing the framing.
Just a thought since I'm not sure if there's a reason for doing it on the front as opposed to the back.

Hi. This is the first video of yours that I have watched, I like the step by step guide and being able to see exactly what you did. Your project turned out great. In order for a peg board to work, it needs to have that little bit of space behind it that the 8ft boards give it, is that correct (as in the peg board can't be applied directly to the wall)?
@Thrift Diving, loved the pegboard you built. I just started to build my garage, there's actually nothing in there except my mess but I want to buy the table and the power tools you used for this project. May I ask what sort of table and tools do you recommend? Thank you.
I love pegboard but It's so difficult to find pegboard in Indonesia. N when i found one, it was sooooo expensive.
This looks amazing! Can I use a staple gun, hot glue gun, or epoxy to put together the little boxes instead of an air nailer?
You defintely can use any of those tools and materials to keep the boxes together! :)
Just a question, why not use the 3/4 inch size from the back to secure edging?

I made the pegboard!
Oops, I see what you mean. I purchased the actual pegboard, sorry. You can get it from HD or Lowe's. Then added the rest myself. But Tuff Shed does sell large pegboard frames like that.
