I guess the promotion was enough for him to be content to let Harper make his cuts. 2014 was the year that PC leader John Tory became mayor of Toronto in charge of that city's police force for 9 years. Seems like a stretch to blame car theft on the federals. In response to the federal Liberals' announcement of upcoming clean fuel regulations, New Brunswick's Conservative government immediately increased the price of gasoline and diesel by over 5¢ per litre to add over $30 million in oil company profits so far ($5 million per month, since July 2023), while blaming the Liberal's for the increased cost to consumers. When the new regulation does eventually start phasing in, the actual cost increase at the pump should be less than 0.2¢ per litre, and oil companies could even reduce their costs by blending higher levels of less expensive ethanol with the gasoline. Funny how Poilievre forgets that the Great Recession of 2007-2009 happened during his and Harper's overly long term, and they didn't even have Covid to deal with. Also, he conveniently dumps a lot of municipal problems (like building permits!?) on Trudeau's federal doorstep, despite Conservative leadership in those cities, such as Toronto's 9 years of former Ontario PC leader John Tory as mayor and 5 years of Ontario PC leader Doug Ford as premiere. I am so thankful for the Canadian healthcare system. I was born in the US but married a wonderful Canadian. I can tell you people that you BETTER HOLD ON to your health care. Even with her decades long HMO (you get it only through an employer AND you do pay into it)., my mom (American) was refused surgery after which she passed away a few months later. I am so thankful for the Canadian healthcare system. I was born in the US but married a wonderful Canadian. I can tell you people that you BETTER HOLD ON to your health care. Even with her decades long HMO (you get it only through an employer AND you do pay into it)., my mom (American) was refused surgery after which she passed away a few months later. If she had been in Canada she would have gotten that care. BTW it's a myth that wait times are short in the US. Don't forget folks that Conservatives voted AGAINST healthcare expansion!
