As a practicing neurologist here in the United States, I want you all to understand that this man has single-handedly changed the trajectory when it comes to curing Parkinson’s. He has funded more studies than any other person including the government. I am specialized in spinocerebellar ataxia, and one of my most recent papers I had to mention that we need a Michael J Fox in order to make a breakthrough. We still use the biomarkers discovered in studies funded by his organization as a blueprint to help understand other neurological diseases. hopefully we will be able to find a cure or some sort of relief for patients with spinocerebellar ataxia. He is a hero and unsung in many ways because he deserves much more than simple human praise.

How come he constantly moves the way he moves? Is it continuous spasms like Parkinson's causes continuous spasms? I'm asking seriously to educate myself not in a condescending manner. So even if you can afford the best drugs that are possible for the disease it still makes your body do that?

Im bawling. I look up to him immensely. He’s correct, if you don’t find a positive in a negative situation, it becomes a drag. Otherwise, it becomes an phenomenal opportunity for change and something important to do with your life. In 1999, at 17 I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease only ever seen in elderly people. I was one of the first children ever diagnosed. While I have it always done a wonderful job of mimicking, Michael J Fox’s attitude. I truly try to find the joy and every day. This man is a treasure and the research he has done for Parkinson’s, but the greater medical community could never have been done without him, I will always be indebted to him for his attitude, art and the scientific changes he has brought to our world.

Man, what's crazy about his situation is that when you look at him, and you listen to him & see his mannerisms: HE STILL HAS IT! And by that, I mean he still has that classic comedic wit & charm that he's always had. The unfortunate thing though is that his body just can't keep up with his wit. You see the full-blown entertainer there almost trapped. That being said, it's been great to see him come out and tell his story, and tell it on his own terms. It's always easy to feel sorry for the guy, knowing he has this disease... but watching speak and see how charismatic he still is, it's actually a marvel!

Grew up watching MJF from Family Ties to his awesome film career and I felt terrible when he announced his diagnosis years ago, but his resilience and perseverance is uplifting to see. He's one of the people who has shown me that we don't have to stop because of illness and that we can continue to enjoy life. I watched Still and it's an incredible story. Many more wonderful years to him 💕

Salute to Michael J Fox, one of the kindest people I ever worked with back in the day as a child actor on the set of “Life with Mikey.”
On another note, Sunny should not have been interviewing Mike, given her history of mocking people with speech difficulties (especially those who stutter). Difference between her and Michael….his kindness is genuine. Hers is for the cameras.
