I played M2 on very hard so I thought that I could handle this easily but it has been only suffering since Lybaras first attacked

The secret of this campaign is never allie the vampire coast they our worthless allies and the tomb queen will rape your empire. If you dont allie she is pretty chill and marches north threw the lizard men.
@@Chexmaster The secret to any campaign is never to get into an alliance with AI faction - 80% of the time.
It's also something that you learn after you're fucked by the AI repeatedly and lose trust in them.
I think alliance tactic is put into the game just to make your campaign more difficult - to fuck with your trustworthy level and dragging you into never-ending wars.
Played 3 campaigns with little to no alliance and got to choose who my enemy was instead of fighting endless AI war.
Before that in most of my campaigns, AI dragged me into a war (probably with someone I have treaties with) to fuck my trustworthy level and after some time they'll declare peace treaty with that faction, hang back and watch while I try to unfuck myself.

Dang, those stormvermin (halberds) would've been a beautiful unit against tomb kings/lizardmen.

One thing that makes me shake my head is HOW...on Horned Rat... Skrolk doesn't have any spells? Given it's turn 80, Withering spell that damages armor down to -60 (with overcast) is the best tool to use against Lizardmen.
Plague Breath the breath spell is useless against armored but anything up to 30 armor dies instantly.
Stormvermin with Halberd are just must have, even tho I like to focus on Plague Monks as Skrolk, Lizardmen will spam doomstack most of the time.
theres not many of these saving disaster campaigns I havent loved...especially the warhammer/2 ones

What a lovely way to start Sunday with a new SYDC from legend. Skaven are the perfect race for it too because it feels entirely appropriate that Skaven end up in disasters of their own making and then use sneaky tactics to to scurry their way out of it.

Love how those Saurus monsters ram throught the rats. Can´t wait for the battle against their monster stack.
All of these campaign are interesting, i don't want these to end :), UNTIL your a powerhouse and don't have threats, you don't need to expand but to maintain a powerhouse stronghold with no chance of losing your home town then end it :)

Playing cheesy as the rats is just for immersion
It's skaven. You always, ALWAYS go quantity over quality. Heck, even if you are losing the battle, just have your slingers fire your own frontline in the back. For good fun. Also slows down the enemies so they can't chase you.
When you were building that first army in the Gwakmole crater, I was surprised you weren't using the global recruitment to get yourself some additional slaves.
Legend clicks on FAST during end turns and misses important movements; I've found it is better to adjust camera options to "fastest" for other faction's armies and "none" for heroes, so I still see what they are doing and it does not take long.
all the guys who survived are veteran elites now. however so much content lost by not zooming in to see the fights
nice to see you saving a campaign at round 79. That makes it actually worth saving instead of just trying a new one.
This felt like “Saving your disastrous this is total war campaign” solid strats as always Legend!
Lets see what they got, probably some Temple Guards... Finds out that stack is full of dinosaurs.

I find myself using stacks of Clanrats with Shields, gutter runner slingers, and plagueclaw catapults even past turn 100 as clan Pestilens. Honestly while they have much better weapons and units at their disposal I find having infantry take 2 turns holds me up too much from crucial battles. So I only spend 2 turns on the Catapults for my armies. I get 2-4 per army and they annihilate most stuff still. The higher upkeep of the better artillery isnt worth it when I can save time and money raise more stacks of clanrats with shields.
I kind of wondered given skrolk how he does not have a renowned unit of disease spreading poison attacked rat ogres he personally experiments on, seems like his sorta science.

too be honest that skaven garrison at gawknol crater can easily take on that besiging force. The AI is stupid when assaulting settlements with garrisons beyond tier 3 walls. Those skaven warp towers will rip the stegadons to shreds. I advice to sally out if they attack the walls. Sacrefice som skaven clan rats too keep the beasts from the gates so the towers can shoot them for a longer period of time
The Rite of Primeval Glory or whatever is BS. I probably hate Itza the most because of their BS start.

I like this game and play a lot lately, but I m one of the pittyfull guys, who gets wins in Autoresolves and loses the same battle manuely..... 😒

Admittedly, even after 1000+ hours of Warhammer 2, this is the first time I actually see Skaven gameplay. I've killed hordes of them, just no interest in playing as them. Techy hordes of small routing creatures? What's wrong with gobbos? And, I just find there's better strategy games out there for when I want to harvest Tiberium. Nah, the Skaven are the enemy. Purge them with flame.
Bart Something They are great for more strategic campaign map focused gameplay.
With these vortex campaigns, they seem awfully lost anyways, given how far behind the people usually are in the ritual game too.

Attack small army with skrolk. Probably ambush him and destroy him. Attack besieger with garrison when skrolk reinforcing. Hopefully ambushing. Every single skaven attack orders have great ambush chances. Make use of it. Or naht. I know you have basicly no respect for skaven but, im sure you are aware of the mechanics. Stormvermin with halberds are counter against large but in paper. In very hard difficulty, against such amount of big guys, no skaven infantry will stick around tbh. :=) Poison wind globadiers are your answer. Main capital has 2 units of those bad boyz. They will melt down those dinos. But you need to throw bodies at them. But as you said, warp lightning cannons are way to go. Than again, i wouldnt suggest fighting dat army on the field :=) Try to auto resolve kind of armies. Seeing how fast skaven scurry and run from those dinos may make you much more salty i guess.
And i know, you dont like taking advices but, im a skaven veteran.
Well, im biased about Skavens and shit, but still i think this is being really interesting, im really curious about how will you manage to get that stack of dinosaurs
When I tried this matchup Itza was running multiple jurassic park stacks by turn 40 and I had been focusing censer bearer plague cata and it just couldn’t stack up
really fustrating that you don't zoom in. i get micro managing. but I kind of want to see the battles, once things are mostly stable

I'd love to see a new Bretonia campaign live stream for the challenge. Since they're pretty horrible IMO.

@@ktvindicare I'll admit I'm not a cavalry guy. Though Grail Knights are pretty sweet, if expensive. The damn peasant econ though. Also I dont like their legendaries.
ktvindicare I feel that campaign wise. When I started playing this game and tried Bretonnia I was like “fuck this peasant economy and this chivalry bullshit”. But eventually I’ve reached the point off “fuck this peasant economy and chivalry bullshit but cycle charging is fun and I can handle these gimmicks now”.
@@brendanbeatty2955 If you really can't handle the peasant economy, then just invest in Industry everywhere it's really an easy workaround. Also keep this in mind because it's pretty nifty to know. Bretonnia is the only faction I know of that doesn't have a stacking % based penalty for new Lords. You can recruit a lord whenever you like and they just cost the 250 per turn in upkeep.
Learning how to use calvary is of course critical, and part of doing that effectively is getting good with the Lores of Life and Heavens which are the two good lores that Bretonnia has access to.
As far as their Legendaries go, Luen Leoncur is one of the strongest single Legendary lords in the game. Build him like a Warrior and let him go to work. The Faye Enchantress is a super powered Life wizard that also provides massive upkeep bonuses to Grail Guardians, feel free to spam those with her. Alberic DeBordeleux is a weak battle lord (for a Legendary anyway) but he has amazing buffs to economy especially trade and ports.
Bretonnia has a lot to offer, they just have their own style.

Total war noob here. How do you go about mass highlighting from the card layout like he did from the beginning of the seige. Would make setting up my troops a lot faster
havent got wh2 but id assume it's CTRL + Click. So select one from the left and then ctrl click the furthest along the line to multi select. If not ctrl it'll be shift lol i havent played a total war game in a while
