  • This is one of the few ASMR videos that I have released, but I enjoy the peace of nature so much that I thought I would bring it to you. Whether you're just a fan of beautiful forest scenes or are bound to a wheelchair and cant make it to the forest, the hope is that these videos help to relax you and bring you to nature as well as maybe teach you something of the wild mushrooms that grow trailside.
    Aaron Hilliard is the creator of Mushroom Wonderland, an amateur mycologist, VP of his local mycological Society in Kitsap County Washington. Aaron has been a lover of the forest and the mushrooms since his childhood. Introduced to wild foraging at a young age by his grandmother, Aaron has always found himself walking the moss covered forests of the Pacific Northwest in search of magical mushrooms to identify and study.
    We hope you get value out of this video, please leave a comment as to weather we should make more of these.

    I’m on Maui helping disaster relief right now, so I really like watching your videos to remind me that there’s still a beautiful world out there. Please keep making more. In your own way, you’re helping with the disaster relief, too.

      Thank you for helping. My brother lives there/near there. Prayers be with all, God blesses those who bless others. He creates beauty while santan tries best to destroy (people, animals, land and seas) just know 😉 God and gõođ WILL PRIVAIL 😊

    I know these videos must take an incredible amount of work to put together but I could honestly watch a 2 hour version of this one. It's absolutely lovely!

      Honestly that's really great feedback, it's sort of experimental to see if people like these kind of videos. I like the forest ASMR calm videos, and I love mushrooms and plant identification, so I thought maybe if I combine the two it could be a thing. Seems like something I'm going to do more of and focus more energy into. Thank you. ❤️🍄

    I appreciate the forest sounds, and seeing the beautiful woods and the mushrooms you included.
    I just wish you were not walking so quickly, as if you were rushing to get somewhere. That is not typically how I forage for mushrooms.

    very nice. There are plenty of channels doing this ASMR type of videos (in China especially). I thought about doing it but it is too difficult with just one man's hand :)))

    Pantherina actually is edible, will have to boil it in water for two hours with a bit of lemon juice

      There are certain ways to detoxify certain mushrooms, but that certainly would not put it in the edible category. Every field guide and reference would refer to these mushrooms as toxic. They also contain chemical compounds that can be used as a deliriant, a mind-altering chemical. But that's also under special preparation and cautionary consideration.

    Are the non edible ones extremely toxic?

    • @mushroomwonderland1
      @mushroomwonderland1  Год назад +1

      As a percentage very few poisonous mushrooms are extremely toxic. Truly deadly mushrooms are not as common as people might think. Usually when people talk about toxic mushrooms it refers to gastrointestinal distress, although there are certain mushrooms that can be so deadly that caution should be used with all mushrooms.

    what is the mushroom in the thumbnail called?

    • @mushroomwonderland1
      @mushroomwonderland1  Год назад +1

      Laccaria laccata, "the deceiver", it's an edible one pretty common mushroom that grows in the autumn, and mushrooms in their genus can be found all around the world.

    Is this a recent video or older footage?

    • @mushroomwonderland1
      @mushroomwonderland1  Год назад +1

      Mainly older footage. It's tough this time of year, when it's 90° and dry and there's no mushrooms out, to continue to make current content, so this is an attempt to fill in the gaps during the down season. Mush Love. 🤙🍄

      That's what I figured. I was like, a cauliflower during summer, C'mon now. Excellent way to fill in the driest time of year and great video
