*EDIT:* Quick update for everyone looking to master the saw in stealth - due to a recent update (U240.3), the silent saw trick mentioned at 5:55 has been changed. For a detailed explanation, check this video here! ruclips.net/video/S50SI9DPbdU/видео.html Hey everyone! If you're looking for a GENERAL stealth build (good for all heists, without any particular focus on saw) I recently uploaded an updated one, which you can find here! ruclips.net/video/UsSTQep5erU/видео.html Hope you learnt something useful about saws here, and check out that one as well if you're interested! :)
Oops I missed this message from a long time ago *@Ory,* sorry but replies to comments don't always send notifications! If you're at 45 you're definitely doing something wrong... try using a weapon with good CONCEALMENT to combine with your saw. The absolute best ones are the pistols shown at 9:38, although a simple CAR-4 or even The Judge will work just fine too :)
I should still use Copy Hacker > Stock Hacker right @Marcmb? Also, I should use Stock Yakuza for most heists and Copy Yakuza for heists with a lot of civs, correct?
@@aidan_hiatt That's correct yup! Always Copycat-Hacker over regular Hacker, because it's better in any scenario. As for Yakuza, if it's a heist with lots of heavy bags, or lots of civs, then Copycat-Yakuza recommended!
@@Marcmb Thank you for the confirmation! It's really nice to see a RUclipsr who keeps up with their viewers. Keep it up man! (Also sorry if this reply is a biiit late lol)
This is just a tiny little thing that I noticed, but when you show the setup for the Raven (starting at 8:55), you appear to not have the flip-up sight equipped. It's a unique option for this shotgun that gives it a nice extra boost of +2 concealment, so that's sure to help if you want to bring your DR down further. Other than that, cheers for the video! It's great to have all saw-related info nicely wrapped in one package like this.
Oooh that is very cool, Kurokage! I've only been using the "Raven + secondary saw" setup when rushing, so I never tried to optimize its concealment. As a result, I had no idea such a sight existed! Always assumed they would only decrease concealment, as the majority of sights in the game. Thanks a lot for the heads-up! I'm pinning your comment to spread awareness about this, to any potential Raven users :D Also, glad you liked the video! Good to know it'll be useful as a source of information for heisters wanting to get all the information about the saw. Hopefully we'll be seeing more saw experts in heists! :p
Oh yeah, that's a great tip to get that concealment down with the saw Raven is a great way to spice up the shotgun game in stealth as bringing saw in secondary isn't usually a problem Love the saw in this game, such a great tool all around on most stealth heist and always a possibility to get more loot! :)
You're absolutely welcome, Zander! Nowadays, I consider that to be one of the most important aspects of builds, because of the constant level reset due to Infamy farming. Glad you liked that, thank _you!_ :D
Really use full that you showed it as your leveling up, really hard to find good payday guides that aren't 1+ years old. Also really like your stealth/ecm rush guides keep it up! Can't wait for the rest of stealth heists
Glad you liked that, Xenon! In my opinion, the build order is one of the most important pieces of information nowadays, because many heisters are constantly resetting their level to farm Infamies. Glad you're enjoying the guides too! I'll do my best to keep it up :)
:D Thank you very much Yes yes, very kind of you! This kind of support from the community is what keeps me interested in making videos :) Number of subs is irrelevant, indeed! :D
Incredible amount of detail that you put in every single one of your videos. This. Is. Just. Beautiful, seeing someone doing such a good work. For any kind of job really. WOW. I learned soooo much from your videos. For expample: big bank stealth, achievement “Auction Cry”. I could say: You proved me wrong in every single aspect of stealthing in payday 2. Thank you.
Thanks a lot Sekwii! Glad you're enjoying the different videos, and learning useful stuff from them. Very happy to hear that! Also glad that you enjoy the level of detail, that is good to hear. I will do my best to continue making similar content! :D
i really love your videos! keep it up :) the video is very understandable even without voice, and the editing is on point. you are a hidden gem within the payday community for now, but i really hope you grow because your tutorials need to be seen by more people
Thanks a lot boteiro! That's a very kind comment, I appreciate it a lot :) Very good to hear that you enjoyed the editing, and the video was easy to follow! I'll do my best to keep it up and continue making guides in a similar style :)
The saw is one of those things about stealth that I still haven't quite wrapped my head around beyond the silent saw trick and the 10DR saw loadout, so this is very useful and will likely get multiple watches from me. What to get and when is particularly nice to know, I just got my tenth Infamy level yesterday. Thank you for another informative video.
Hey there HeVi! Ever since Infamy farming became a thing again, I've been using the saw almost everywhere, since it can speed up many different heists. Glad the video will be useful, and good to know the build order is particularly useful! Thank you very much for the very nice feedback, and glad you enjoyed it :)
@@Marcmb I have one more question, im currently level 100 and infamy 5 i have everything skilled as show but have 5 skill points remaning, what should i do with these 5 points ?
@@MrAlex-eb1yw Those are personal preference points! I would suggest Second Wind ACE, but you can get things like: - Parkour ACE. - Shotgun DMG skills. - Shotgun reload skills. - Stability/accuracy skills. Your choice, with those final 5 points! :)
This is an amazing guide! Before, when I had the saw, I depleted all the ammo and took a lot of time to open the deposit boxes, now, thanks to this amazing and very educational tutorial, I always go in with the saw and get everything open in no time! You're a great Payday 2 youtuber. Also, I honestly prefer Burglar, as It has a lot more stuff that helps in Stealth, but Hacker is really useful If you are playing risky DSOD jobs or just are new to stealth. Amazing guide anyways!!
Thanks a lot Stripa! Glad you liked the guide, and glad to hear you learnt some useful things from it. Enjoy using these new techniques/knowledge! :) As for the perk deck, it's definitely personal preference, so those who enjoy Burglar can absolutely keep using it! It's just that its speed buffs (faster bagging/lockpicking) became a bit obsolete with the release of the "Quick" buff for crew AI, the crouching speed is better for Yakuza, and its potential to answer multiple pagers in quick succession is easily overshadowed by Hacker. But I still do recommend it often for new heisters, because it teaches them about the "sneaky, no risks" stealth (without having the pECM as a crutch), while providing them with useful buffs which don't require any input from them. But for experienced heisters, definitely up to personal preference!
Haha oops, well spotted as usual Enio! Maybe in the future :p for now it only seems to work if you then proceed to mess up the bulletstorm by completely depleting the saw durability. Work In Progress!
@@gvstavofabian nah, that's just a mod, he does that to save time. i can confirm that because he asked me to help him record some materials in the past and he noclipped trough some stuff sometimes :p but don't think badly of him, he's not a cheater, he got all of those levels legitimetly! :3
@@gvstavofabian That's the Big Bank vault! I needed to get a quick clip of the hitboxes so I just used Free cam to get into it, that's why Enio points out that the heist timer barely says 2 minutes when I'm in there! Haha :D
I've had a Saw build for a long time thanks to ur previous guides but u gave me some bonus ideas to add to it. Thanks as always ur guides are amazing, keep up the good work ^^
Hey Sebastián! Good to hear you were able to make a good saw build from my previous videos, and even better to hear that you were able to improve it even further with this one. Glad you're enjoying the guides, and I'll do my best to keep it up!!
9:47 I actually have 2 saw profiles which are exactly the same, except for one of them being hacker and the other being yakuza. The hacker one i usually use for heists like election day day 2 and the transport train heist, while the yakuza is usually preserved for shadow raid (which I do a lot since stealth only heists usually have more refined stealth aspects compared to stuff like bank heist and jewelry store)
That's very interesting, Misza! I actually do pretty much the same thing, because it allows me to switch from Yakuza to Hacker (without losing my saw build) from the pre-heist screen. What I do differently is that I use Yakuza for ED DAY2 (crew play), but I do share the rest with you -- Hacker for Train and Yakuza for Shadow Raid. These three heists are indeed much cooler than the tutorial/easy stuff like regular Bank Heists!
@@Marcmb I just remembered that there's a bug in online play where someone may hear another player shots as if theyre unsilenced, even though they are silenced. In my experience it's most often the judge, but I've seen it happen with other weapons
@@misza115 Interesting! Silenced shots often sound very loud for me, but I thought that was just the game being unrealistic. It might've been the bug all along! Next time I notice it, I'll think twice about it -- thanks for the info!
@@blackbed5108 Haha yeah, guns in PAYDAY are """silenced""", but I think it's cool as it is :p many pieces of media alter the sounds of their silencers to create a more enjoyable or unique experience, after all! :D
I’m a little late (lol) but at 6:15 how do i make it show the ammo and the remaining blades (it’s shown 150 ammo + 2 blades). For me it just shows total ammo :p
Hi again Daniil! This was recently changed in Update 240 if I recall correctly. In the "magazine" ammo display, it used to just show the number of blades remaining (which was cool! But the devs changed it). Instead, now it shows durability just like in the "main" ammo display. So for Sharp blade, it will show 150 + 300 (two blades worth of ammo in reserve), or for durable blade it'll show 200 + 400. Hope this helps! :)
Hey there Dreamer, very early tonight! I used to have 12 different stealth builds before Infamy 3.0, but now I only have one or two. It would be impossible to keep remaking them, because I'm constantly restarting from level 100 to 0!
@@Marcmb I wish they did more to make rebuilding after every infamy less obnoxious. Something like getting 1 early skill point per infamy would be cool, or even removing rep requirements off weapons eventually.
@@laziezt4973 Removing requirements on some weapons would be cool! Often you just end up using trash weapons for your level 0 heist, and then switching to your usual stuff. Maybe not outright removing them (which would remove variety), but adding more level 0 weapons, so that heisters could make more choices regarding that :)
Wondered where i was these 5 days? As always, nice video!(Didn't watched half). Have a good day or night, i don't know what to say. I didn't realized you uploaded due to the magic(Not magic obvliously) of my parents using my phone. Fun fact:Your secondary with 14 rounds is a Makarov(Sykov by COD:WZ). And The Raven Shotgun is the KSG-12
Hey juan! Glad you got to this one, and good to know you enjoyed the first half! That was the main part of the video, with all the technical details. Then it's a part for loadout which is only relevant when you're making the build, and at the end the build order, which is cool too! :) Also I didn't know those real names, that's cool!
@@Marcmb Yeah, people usually create names to be original, like Fennec(Kriss Vector). My birthday is in 20 days, pretty hyped for a special ammo type on the UZI And the Carbine Barrel too(Call Of Duty:Warzone).
@@juannicastro8598 Yup! All the weapons here have custom names to make them more recognizable/unique/interesting, very cool :) There are some mods to display their real name instead, but I've never used them! And 20 days is quite soon, that's nice! Almost there :D

Enjoy your return after these 2 months :) Remember that, whenever I host open lobbies, they are announced via the Steam group chat, and open to everyone!! Good day/night to you too! :D
Hey Calza! Glad I could teach you about that, it's very useful to know -- it unlocks many applications that weren't possible before, and more than anything it makes the saw really versatile and useful on many heists. Enjoy this new trick! :)
Fun tip: If the extra silent saw trick is too risky for you, using a drill to open a door/cage with kickstarter basic gives you a 1.5/10 chance for it to be fixed by itself in 10 seconds. With kickstarter aced it can be fixed with a melee hit half of the time. Sure it takes longer, but avoids the risk of a failed sixth sense. Or just wait for them to go idk
That's true! Any heist in particular for this hint though, tterminitte? Because in most heists, the drill can be spotted while it's drilling (even when silent, if a guard happens to see it), so generally the saw trick is safer!
@@Marcmb no heist in particular. In my experience doing the saw trick doesn't work for me and idk why. So I just think kickstarter is an essential skill in heists. Like c'mon. 50% chance to fix something is just too cool to pass up!
For sure! Best part about Kickstarter is how cool and satisfying it feels when you get the proc. And sometimes it feels way higher than 50%... it was one of the skills I included to my video about the best general stealth build! Also, the saw trick works reliably 100% of the time, when done properly. If I can help you with some tips/doubts, let me know!
Yup, the sharp blade helps a lot! You get through the objects a lot quicker, and so the silent duration becomes less of an issue. Furthermore, if your blade is weak and you need to reapply the 1.5s silent window, you need to wait until the original window expires, or the trick will fail.
About the Bulletstorm: If you are using the 'Durable' blade, you can use the saw until it reaches to "zero", because it has a extra blade with only 50 of duration. If I'm not mistaken, it'll keep infinite during the Bulletstorm effect too. This is just a complement, since the sharp blade is enough in most cases :) This video is a nice complement of the earlier one about the saws :D
Hey gabmoita! Unfortunately that wouldn't work, because even if you have an extra blade (or "partial blade" when using Durable), you still need to reload it before being able to use the saw. Basically I recommend the Sharp one for everything! Glad you liked the video btw :) The other one had many questions and doubts about the practical uses of the saw, and how to apply all that knowledge, so hopefully this will help! :D
The nice thing about the Gruber is that the Chromed Sparrow market skin has a Team Boost variant and costs 3 cents if you don't care about condition. So, can have both the +3 concealment boost with the exp buff. Nice for stealth sawing and ECM rushing.
Wait really? I never knew that you can stack boosts like that when they are included with the weapon skin. I'll have to check that out, thank you very much TheTundraTerror!
4:00 did you know that when you use up an entire bulletstorm ammo bag, you get 60 seconds of infinite ammo regardless of how much ammo you restore? As far as I have tested the only factor is having bulletstorm (basic or aced) and using the entire ammo bag, doesn't matter if it's default or upgraded ammo bag Don't know in which stealth situation this could be useful though
Hey there Zapato! Indeed, I knew about the 60s duration, but I've never been able to find an application for it in stealth. Another comment (Mauer) has given me a few ideas, so I'll be checking it out for fun! Although it's already so powerful without even going for the 60s...
What a great video as usual! It goes well with the "ultimate saw guide" that I was already using for every "saw required" heist! But this video also gave me good advice (with the bulletstorm for exemple) so thanks a lot! And I'm looking forward for you yakuza video soon! Have a wonderful day :)
Hey Kélig! As a matter of fact, I wrote the script for this one as an "extension" to the Ultimate Saw Guide, so I'm glad it can be seen like that :) This one is a lot more "practical-oriented", and covers all the mechanics that you need to know for regular runs. Glad you're looking forward to the Yakuza video, and you have a wonderful day too! :D
@@Marcmb That's what I thought I was wondering why you didn't putted it in the first video, I was also thinking it could be a quick way to cover the most important point with the saw, anyway that's a great video, clear and quick to learn
@@gump3001 Yup, you were definitely on point with that guess! I don't like doing videos that are too long (except for heists) because viewers miss part of the information, so I often cut them into 2 parts for things like this! Glad you liked both of them, that's very kind and very good to hear :)
Hey Western! That's because, when using a saw, anything that you would usually drill will be sawed open instead. Getting both sets of skills would be a waste of points! (other than some heists like regular Bank Heist, but not many heisters play that after their first few infamies)
Still keeping your content strong I see! Although I am still waiting for the full stealth for Mallcrasher. Not sure if it got patched so it isn't available, but other than that keep up the awesome work! Been here for around 10-11 months!
Hey there, GamingAtItsFinest! I do remember reading your name in the comments a long time ago -- cool to know you're still around, thank you! Glad you liked this video, and regarding your request, in the "near-ish" future I'll definitely make a full guide for Mallcrasher stealth! Very fun strategy, and very cool to pull off after you understand the important bits :D
I didn't actually know about the silent saw trick with the alert cooldown, guess I'm gonna have to give some more attempts at stealth for a couple of heists
@@Marcmb yea I gave it a shot, and I finally managed to complete Train Heist, and Election Day on the higher difficulties. I wanted to give stealth more of a chance because of some heists being stealth only with my goal of getting the mayhem difficulty mask, the death sentence mask does look a little cool as well and I'm not a fan of the DSOD mask so I personally don't wanna seek out those 2, and I already feel like I have no life because of me spending almost 2 weeks getting the Payday 2 secret because I have no friends and had to do Overdrill. My point is that I know some heists for me at least are gonna be near impossible unless I can find good players that I can communicate properly with and not just with text chat.
@@rangerarion6937 Awesome! Train Heist is one of the heists where it benefits the most, really amazing stuff. Best of luck! And if you would like to find heisters for stuff, feel free to join our Steam group (in the video description)!
Hey Roman Mata! The 18-point requirement for maxing a tree is only if you're Infamy 0. As soon as you reach Infamy 1 (on PC) and claim your first infamy reward, the requirement will be lowered to 16!
amazing guide as usual marcmb!! A Yakuza guide sounds really interesting so i’ll be waiting for that! And btw could you make a stealth guide for "Diamond Heist" i’d really appreciate it!
Thanks a lot Kaan, glad you're enjoying the guides and this one in particular too! In the future I'll make a guide for Diamond Heist, yup! But I wanna start with Scarface first, because it has been requested a lot... thanks for the suggestion though, I'm writing it down!
@@kelesbeta Absolutely, yeah! It's a very simple choice, at the end of the day I just pick it because of personal preference. The main differences between the two shotguns are: - Concealment: The Judge's is 1 higher than the Locomotive's. But that doesn't really matter, since both are good enough to reach 3 Detection Rating, which is the minimum. - Damage: higher for The Judge's, but any unalerted enemies die in a single hit, and when a 480 HP enemy is alerted, both weapons have enough damage to 1-shot them (at least before the fall-off nerfs, I haven't been paying very close attention to that). - Magazine size: better for the Locomotive. - Reload style: better for the Locomotive. - Visuals: this is the big reason for me. The way the First Person model holds The Judge looks a little bit weird, considering how small the weapon looks. Thus, because I like the visuals of the Locomotive a lot more, and also (very importantly) its reload style and magazine size are better for me, that's the one I use! :)
Hey no life guy! There is indeed a mod for that, called _Saw Helper,_ but while it's a very good tool for those who are learning, it's a bit cheaty if used for normal gameplay. So I decided not to include it in the video!
I know this is a super old video, but surprisingly you forgot something with the raven! In the sights catagory it has the option for flip up sights that improve concealment further!
Very true Ghastly yup! The pinned comment told me shortly after I uploaded the video, and I've been using it ever since haha :D It's my fault because I had only used the Raven for ECM rushing, so I wasn't optimizing for concealment, so I completely missed it!
Hey Erie, good suggestion! I'm gonna do some more stealth build videos (for specific roles in stealth), and for each one I'll show the weapons and weapon mods. So eventually, I'll have them all shown within their relevant context! :D Also, regarding your other comment about my infamy level, I'm currently at around 145!
@@eriemaxson3290 I'll post a video about it in the near future, not sure if I should spoil it! :p It currently takes me about ~40 minutes for each infamy level, by ECM rushing a rotation of 4 specific heists. The speed is essentially the same as spamming Diamond Store, but you only need to do 12 heists per infamy (instead of 27), and the variety makes it more fun :)
Haha yup! Well spotted Misza :D I don't think many noticed, because that's the first mention I've seen of that in the comments :p The old safehouse had that really cool room to show the different types of doors, so it was perfect for a demonstration about a bunch of different doors!
Haha! That one is good for ECM rushing certain heists, and for control maps (like Big Bank), so it's good to have both in your inventory. As long as you never have a Sharp + Fast one, since it doesn't reach any new breakpoints, and thus is objectively worse...!
Hey william! That is all being displayed by my HUD mod, which is PocoHUD. If you're interested, you can find my MODDING VIDEO in the description, which has install instructions, and download links. Hope this helps! :D
Very true yup :( Luckily it's a straight concealment bonus with no penalties, so anyone looking through the mods will surely notice that they should add that too! The issue is that I tried to record the clips in a single take, so I memorized which mod 'slots' I had to show, in order to skip the mod slots that were unused... and I forgot about the stock. Unlucky! I'll make an updated stealth guide in the future and I'll make sure to mention the stock :p
Hey Relago! The speed of Yakuza is indeed amazing, both for regular stealth, and for rushing when combined with permanent _Second Wind._ In my opinion, Hacker and Yakuza are the only 2 stealth decks worth considering. However, when you play regular stealth, sometimes ignoring cameras to get rid of any guards around the objective area (and being done with the objectives before new guards patrol there) can make the heist time even faster. Both are really fun playstyles! :D
@@blackbed5108 Hey BlackBed! Burglar used to be the best (and only) stealth deck, but unfortunately nowadays it's objectively the worst -- nothing wrong with using it if that's the one you enjoy though! (objectively because less speed, lower pager answering potential, interaction boosts almost obsolete when playing with bots...)
@@blackbed5108 Both are very good for almost all stealth heists, but eventually after a few runs on each heist you end up preferring either one or the other for that specific heist. Both contribute to completing the heist faster either by giving you movement speed, or allowing you to take risky paths and risky kills by disabling cameras on demand.
Hey riko! I wanted to make the guide as short as possible, so I cut out information that wasn't "essential". Since ATMs are very easy (the whole thing is the hitbox, and not many heists have them) that's one of the things I didn't include. As *@Aryan* pointed out before me, the entire huge box counts as a hitbox, and then you only need to aim for the small 4 supports.
@Rocco Raab That's also true! Since there's no XP reward for loose cash, very often ATMs are just ignored :( But *@riko* also brings up a good point: there would be one very specific speedrun where having that knowledge would be very useful -- but then again, speedrunners doing that probably know the ATM hitbox already :p
Does more damage make deposit boxes open faster? If i remember correctly it takes 2 „hits” to open them with silent / durable + No skills boosting damage of the saw
Hey Trzcinek! That is correct yup. For deposit boxes, silent + sharp or fast + durable will one-tap deposit boxes, assuming you have Carbon Blades ACE and a full perk-deck. Other damage-oriented skills (such as Berserker + Frenzy) also increase the saw damage, reducing the number of hits required (especially noticeable on doors, which take many more hits by default).
5:38 - isn't it too risky to use the saw in San Martin without the silent saw trick? I feel like the vault is too close to the guards' pathes and the sawing will be heard immediately.
Very good point Raykon! You are indeed correct. I didn't it mention here explicitly, because in the future I'll make some kind of video about San Martín and its deposit boxes, but if you notice, I placed the ammo bag (for _Bulletstorm_ usage) on the lower floors. That's because, from my experience, the lower floors can be safely sawed open (except for the 5th row at the top, which from my experience is also fine but only if you're crouching), and for the upper floor you definitely have to take your time, and constantly check with _Sixth Sense_ or use the "extra silent" saw trick constantly!
Hey there Mauer! I would like to mention it, but sadly there isn't a single stealth heist where you can deplete an entire ammo bag, without wasting more time than you save! The limited 10s bulletstorm is enough for almost anything :( Thinking about it now, I guess it would be useful specifically for San Martín, where there are many deposit boxes, so having a 60s Bulletstorm would allow you to get through them all quickly. You would need to coordinate with the team to empty the ammo bag properly, but it's certainly doable!
@@mauer1 True! But I mostly use this for ECM rushing, because I'm interested in XP farming. For example in Big Bank you can't really use it, because if the ammo bag is placed close to the vault, you don't have time to deplete it before the vault opens... I guess you might be able to place and deplete the ammo bag before the timelock door, and run all the way to the vault during the 60s bulletstorm... thanks for the very cool idea!
I don't get it, i've been sawing the fricking sky with my saw (silent motor btw, and People ALL AROUND THE MAP) are alerted, yet i've only tapped it the literal air
Hey Falcon! Are you using any gameplay-changing mods? If not, definitely check that you're using the actual SILENT MOTOR (not the FAST MOTOR) on your saw, because that definitely sounds like you're using a loud saw if you're just tapping in the air!!
@@Marcmb Yeah I figured it out, apparently my saw was glitched, and I was using the fast motor even tho I had the silent one equipped (I had to unequip the silent motor and put it back for it to work again... Weird glitch)
@@falconimation1 Very strange! Maybe your save didn't update properly if you closed the game shortly after equipping your saw mods. Either way very strange, but glad you were able to solve it :) Enjoy the trick now!

That is correct yup! Keep in mind that the health of the objects (like doors, deposit boxes, etc.) doesn't change with difficulty, so the number of hits required to break them is the same regardless of difficulty.
@@Marcmb Wow the fact you replied to promptly on an older video, I did not expect that. Thank you for being so helpful man, I can tell you love this game!

Hey Doge Bond! I personally dislike WolfHUD because it's not just a HUD, it's a huge bundle of mods that comes with things you don't really want (Federal Inventory, Real weapon names, a bunch of other stuff...) which you have to go out of your way to disable. If I wanted to switch from PocoHUD, I would probably go to VanillaHUD+, but I like playing without the information of loot/enemy/civilian counters, because it makes the heists slightly less easy :p Nothing wrong with any HUD though! All of them are fun, legit, and not cheats, so each player can pick whichever HUD they want!
@@Marcmb Thank you! Does pocohud have options to display loot for instance, as I want to try a perfect run on shadow raid? Also does it have interaction circle countdown as I love that. Thank you in advance.
@@dogebond6960 You're welcome! I believe it does have countdown for the interaction if you enable it, but unfortunately it does not have any kind of loot counters. If you're interested in that kind of thing, I would recommend looking into "VanillaHUD+" (or sometimes "VanillaHUD Plus").
Hey Aryan! Whenever I'm using the saw, my build will always have Frenzerker, because it's just so useful. Sometimes I unequip the saw for a specific heist, but I don't bother changing my build because Frenzerker is also very useful for Yakuza and even for damage when using Hacker, that's why my general build often ends up with Frenzerker too :) (usually by removing drill skills)
@@Obamaprism123 No problem! Thank you for the very good question :) In the future I'll also be making more build videos for things like ECM rushing, Yakuza gameplay, etc... so hopefully after a few of them it'll be easier to see the general trends, and situations where it's worth investing points in certain things, or skills which are useful for all builds!
Great guide to the saw, one question though. If the durable blade gives you an extra 150 ammo, worst case scenario (10x 15 ammo saws in a row) would get you an extra 10+ taps. Even if the break points were 1 tap worse on every door wouldn't the extra ammo allow you to open more things in the long run? Not sure if there are many or any heists where you need to saw this many doors though so I'd imagine in most cases sharp and saving time would be best option.
Thanks Lord Unwaged! Glad you liked the guide :) As for the question, that's a very good question. There are 3 main reasons why someone would use durable blade for their saw: - able to saw more stuff before reloading - faster runs because you reload less - overall more ammo The first one is a valid concern. Some maps have a specific number of things you need to saw open, and having the extra durability on your blade can reliably allow you to get them all without reloading. However, the time wasted by the lower breakpoint (on all things except deposits) makes it slower than it would've been with the sharp saw. The second one is also interesting, but it's not really true. If someone wanted the fastest possible approach, they would just use Bulletstorm. While you reload fewer times, it's still much slower than the BS approach. This also loses time with the other lower breakpoints, and is less convenient to empty your blades to prepare for Bulletstorm. Finally, the 3rd one -- this is the one that you mention. While it's true that you get more overall ammo, it comes with a cost of slower speed/less convenient breakpoints. Very importantly, even San Martín Bank (a heist with SIX walls of deposit boxes, and many doors to saw open) can easily be fully cleared by a sharp saw, even without Bulletstorm. Thus, for all other heists, it will certainly be the same: sharp will be enough overall ammo, and the run will be faster :) Thanks for the good question, and hopefully the long answer was interesting!
@@Marcmb Thank you spending the time to write such a detailed response. Point 3 was my main interest but if that heist has the most doors and still isn't an issue then it really looks like sharp blade is king :)
@@lordunwaged9982 No problem! Those were things I considered back in the day while I was optimizing my saw build, but they were too long to add to the video, so I'm glad someone asked! That's the reason why I tested on San Martín Bank, exactly. Maybe new heists in the future will change that -- we'll see! I'll definitely make a video if that happens :)
Thanks was confused how u did frenzerker with confident and high value target I guess the secret is to not use cleaner aced and ecm overdrive aced I also used 2 ammo bags but I wont anymore
Correct, Aryan! Basically remove the skills that you're unlikely to use with a saw build, and get more utility for the build specifically designed for the saw. Also very good to get rid of the 2nd ammo bag, because you gain a lot of power from bulletstorm, and you can bring better deployables/have more skills. Enjoy! :D
Hey dude, new viewer here and great tutorial on the silent saw guide. I am just wondering how the heck did u trigger the saw in the air without using up the ammo? I am completely stuck on that part. I would appreciate it if you could tell me.
Thanks Peace ketchup! Glad this helped. Sorry for my late response, I've been very busy lately. The saw has a certain range and, if there's no solid objects in that range, the ammo will not go down. Thus: the easiest way to do this is to aim at the air, but with practice you can aim anywhere, as long as you're far enough from the solid objects :)
Very good question, Lucky Frosty! That's one situation where the Sixth Sense check helps a lot: the deposit boxes are far enough into the vault, that guards patrolling outside will never hear your saw, as long as you have the Silent Motor (8.5m range). However, there is one exception: when the camera guard spawns right next to the bus entrance, and there is a set of deposit boxes under him, he will hear you if you use the saw there without the "extra silent" saw trick.
Glad I could clear that up, Muhammad! I believe in older versions, the skill used to trigger when you deployed the ammo bag. But now it has changed, so it's important to know the new one! :)
@spook joost Correct! Although unfortunately there aren't many stealth heists where you can fully deplete an ammo bag (not even San Martín with its 6 walls of deposit boxes), but it's really cool when it happens :p
Originally it used to only apply immediately after placing an ammo bag, but was changed to the current version in the big skill tree rework as part of Update #100, way back in 2016.
@@Marcmb I thought it was more recent too. I thought it was from Update #173 when they added Graze and removed Specialized Killing, but when I looked it up it turned out to be much longer ago.
Hey Vidonicle! It's a good alternative for builds with the lowest 10 Detection Rating (an alternative to the Bernetti), but a bad alternative for The Judge: the reason to bring Judge is because you want a shotgun (for body launching), so a pistol will never be good enough as a replacement!
Hi Anime Life! That is all being displayed by my HUD, which is a mix of PocoHUD3, and Additional PocoHUD trackers. Details here, if you would like to try them out yourself: steamcommunity.com/groups/MarcmbCrimeNET/discussions/0/2279330983559406525/
I just ran this heist today. It's surely one of the most easiest heist to stealth I think. One of the fastest also. The important part in this heist mostly depending on how the guards rotating on the 2nd days. I found it sometimes the middle room got so crowded you're bound to failed if you go there. Like 5 guards in that single middle room. So I rather check all the outside and the rear left and right before even going there. I think with some luck you don't even have to going middle room most of the time. Also I want to ask, the crate inside the cage always have the right crate, right? Like if a crate is inside the cage, it's going to have the machine inside, right?
Also the saw trick is actually crazy, but I'm just not used to it so it got messy, I got blown like 3 times so I decided not using the saw anymore. You have to really becareful when using the saw, I got blown once since the guard is standing right next to the door on 2nd floor, he's inside so I dont see him, but when I'm doing saw trick to the cage closest to the wall, he heard my "saw going in the air". So I'm like, damn, f* this. Just sneaking around even thou with the saw it would be much more faster. Nice guide as always, champ.
Hey Elbard! You are 100% correct: when solo, it's better to start with one side, then upstairs, then other side. The machines in cages are not guaranteed, but there's 2 machines always in the cages: more details in my Election Day Ultimate Stealth Guide! The silent trick is going to be very very reliable (and incredibly useful!) once mastered, but it can take a bit. Best of luck with your practice! Once you get the timing right, it becomes really easy :)

Hello! I have a weird idea and since this channel has proved many other ones i though impossible, well, possible, i wanna see if it can be done Breaking feds (everyone's fav heist obviously). Garret can suck it (majority consensus, yes?) I wanna know if it is posible to reach the end (deliver the artifact and activate escape) and still get the chance to have a little payback on garret for being a piece of shit. I know the game only gives you like 10 seconds if you kill him but BreFeds isn't a big map and you can go pretty fast. So yeah. Tl;dr is it posible to activate escape, kill garret and still get away with it?
Hey Flakker! That's a very interesting question haha! There are indeed some ways to succesfully escape the heist after killing Garrett. One of them is to leave a trip mine (set to explosive) inside his office when you leave, or you can also snipe him across the map with weapons which can penetrate walls! Proof of concept here ruclips.net/video/pKqONMun8ms/видео.html :D
Hey Titubeur! There's 5 spare "preference points" for the level 100 build, so you can get that if you want! I didn't want to go into detail about what to do with those final 5 points, because there are so many personal preference things, and situational choices :p

hey marc! you can get your detection with a saw down to 14 if you have akimbo judge primary, I think this would be a better companion than the grueber, let me know your thoughts
Hey DAJ4040! That's a very good point: even when you want a "low detection" saw loadout, opting for a shotgun instead of the pistol is also a very good choice, just because of how useful shotguns are for stealth. As you say, you could go for Akimbo Judges + secondary Saw (both modded for conealment), for 14 detection. Primary Saw + regular Judge also works, and reaches 14 detection too. I personally use primary Saw + Locomotive, which doesn't go as low as The Judge, but it looks a bit cooler :p (e.g., my Border Crossing guide ruclips.net/video/gSl1ZV20lp4/видео.html )
Hey i noticed that when i use a concealment boost on my Gruber Kurz it only gives me +1 concealment. I have only been playing for six months or so, so it might be something dum that i didn't realize but im asking anyway. Pls help ;/
Hmmm that's interesting, DUCKLING. Are you sure you're using the right weapon? Both the Bernetti and Gruber Kurz can reach 34 concealment because their concealment boosts give +3 concealment, as shown here ruclips.net/video/9xKf1fPOBH8/видео.html
@@Marcmb k thanks btw do u know a heist that is good for players with out infamy other than cool off I just get annoyed when I lose my progress and I’m trying to get to level 100
Hi there tigertank! On PC, reaching Infamy 1 gives you that benefit. On console, it's Infamy 5 and there's a few more details. Let me know if you're on console, and I'll explain the details!
I see! For console, you have to go to the "Infamy tree" and spend your points there (you get 1 point for each infamy, and 1 point can be used to unlock 1 tile in that tree). The 4 tiles next to the central tile correspond to the skill trees of Mastermind, Enforcer, Ghost, and Technician. When you unlock each of these 4 tiles, you will get this reduction from 18 to 16 points for the corresponding tree. I hope this is clear! Let me know if you need more info.
Yes! It gives you a lot of saw damage (+250%, compared to the measly +40% from Carbon blades), so your saw will be able to open things with fewer hits!
Hey kirsche! If you are Infamy 0, you will need an additional 2 points to unlock the top tier of any skill tree (20 points instead of 18). However, once you are Infamy 1 or higher, this restriction is lifted. Hope this clears it up! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask :)
*EDIT:* Quick update for everyone looking to master the saw in stealth - due to a recent update (U240.3), the silent saw trick mentioned at 5:55 has been changed. For a detailed explanation, check this video here! ruclips.net/video/S50SI9DPbdU/видео.html

I'm pinning your comment to spread awareness about this, to any potential Raven users :D

As for the perk deck, it's definitely personal preference, so those who enjoy Burglar can absolutely keep using it!
Got to infamy 99 because of this, thank you very much Marcmb. Overkill salutes you.

I knew about the noise range on the silent saw, but I did not know that there was a cool down on detection for gunshots. The more you know!
@@Marcmb I just timed how long 1.5 seconds is. No wonder why it doesn't work for me. I need to swap durable to sharp. Thanks for the tips
This is just a complement, since the sharp blade is enough in most cases :)
This video is a nice complement of the earlier one about the saws :D
Hey gabmoita! Unfortunately that wouldn't work, because even if you have an extra blade (or "partial blade" when using Durable), you still need to reload it before being able to use the saw. Basically I recommend the Sharp one for everything!
Glad you liked the video btw :) The other one had many questions and doubts about the practical uses of the saw, and how to apply all that knowledge, so hopefully this will help! :D
@@Marcmb Oh I got it, thanks! :)
@@gabmoita2198 No problem! Happy to clear that up :)
As far as I have tested the only factor is having bulletstorm (basic or aced) and using the entire ammo bag, doesn't matter if it's default or upgraded ammo bag
Don't know in which stealth situation this could be useful though
Hey there Zapato! Indeed, I knew about the 60s duration, but I've never been able to find an application for it in stealth. Another comment (Mauer) has given me a few ideas, so I'll be checking it out for fun! Although it's already so powerful without even going for the 60s...
Now my new build without dlc, thx
Glad you liked the build, Alexrex, you're welcome! Enjoy it!!!
Why no drill skills
Hey Western! That's because, when using a saw, anything that you would usually drill will be sawed open instead. Getting both sets of skills would be a waste of points!
(other than some heists like regular Bank Heist, but not many heisters play that after their first few infamies)
Still keeping your content strong I see! Although I am still waiting for the full stealth for Mallcrasher. Not sure if it got patched so it isn't available, but other than that keep up the awesome work! Been here for around 10-11 months!

One of the best saw mechanics, Ranger! Definitely recommend learning it, and mastering it. The saw becomes so much more useful with it.

@@Marcmb oooh scarface is a good idea too! didn’t think of that one!
@@kelesbeta Good to know that one will be a good one too! :D
@@Marcmb btw can you tell me why you are using the locomotive shotgun as a secondary i’ve been wondering
@@kelesbeta Absolutely, yeah! It's a very simple choice, at the end of the day I just pick it because of personal preference. The main differences between the two shotguns are:
- Concealment: The Judge's is 1 higher than the Locomotive's.
1:02 there is a mod which shows if you are hitting the hitbox and also for atms its not the corner its the whole door
Hey no life guy! There is indeed a mod for that, called _Saw Helper,_ but while it's a very good tool for those who are learning, it's a bit cheaty if used for normal gameplay. So I decided not to include it in the video!

You should do a full tour on your inventory like all the guns and attachments and builds

@@eriemaxson3290 I'll post a video about it in the near future, not sure if I should spoil it! :p
It currently takes me about ~40 minutes for each infamy level, by ECM rushing a rotation of 4 specific heists. The speed is essentially the same as spamming Diamond Store, but you only need to do 12 heists per infamy (instead of 27), and the variety makes it more fun :)

Hacker is good, but I just LOVE the speed of Yakuza.
One of the phew things that make Stealth actually fun IMO.
Not really a Stealth player.
@@Marcmb how bout burglar?
@@blackbed5108 Hey BlackBed! Burglar used to be the best (and only) stealth deck, but unfortunately nowadays it's objectively the worst -- nothing wrong with using it if that's the one you enjoy though! (objectively because less speed, lower pager answering potential, interaction boosts almost obsolete when playing with bots...)
@@Marcmb oh thanks. Btw would you say yakuza is best or hacker
Did you forget about ATMs in the hitboxes?
for the atms the entire huge box right side to the marker where it says to saw is the hitbox but the smaller 1s just saw where it tells u to
@Rocco Raab i mean speedrunners in four stores definetly care
Other damage-oriented skills (such as Berserker + Frenzy) also increase the saw damage, reducing the number of hits required (especially noticeable on doors, which take many more hits by default).
i wish there was an easier way to get those concealment boosts
I think you can buy some with continental coins, but I've never tried so I can't say for sure...
That's because, from my experience, the lower floors can be safely sawed open (except for the 5th row at the top, which from my experience is also fine but only if you're crouching), and for the upper floor you definitely have to take your time, and constantly check with _Sixth Sense_ or use the "extra silent" saw trick constantly!
ohh you forgot the secret mechanic with bulletstorm again, if you use up a ammo bag you get 3 times the max duration of bulletstorm.
Hey there Mauer! I would like to mention it, but sadly there isn't a single stealth heist where you can deplete an entire ammo bag, without wasting more time than you save! The limited 10s bulletstorm is enough for almost anything :(
Thinking about it now, I guess it would be useful specifically for San Martín, where there are many deposit boxes, so having a 60s Bulletstorm would allow you to get through them all quickly. You would need to coordinate with the team to empty the ammo bag properly, but it's certainly doable!
@@Marcmb all bank heists.
because you have to wait for the drill or timelocks anyway.

@@lucaspstark Nice! You're welcome, enjoy your new HUD mod :)
Why do you use pocohud3 over something say like wolfhud? Is it the aesthetic or the options?
Hey Doge Bond! question so in ur stealth build there's no frenzerker but in-game u spawn with frenzerker? Is there a different build u use?
Oh alright thanks
@@Obamaprism123 No problem! Thank you for the very good question :)
In the future I'll also be making more build videos for things like ECM rushing, Yakuza gameplay, etc... so hopefully after a few of them it'll be easier to see the general trends, and situations where it's worth investing points in certain things, or skills which are useful for all builds!
There are 3 main reasons why someone would use durable blade for their saw:
- able to saw more stuff before reloading
- faster runs because you reload less
- overall more ammo
The first one is a valid concern.
Thus, for all other heists, it will certainly be the same: sharp will be enough overall ammo, and the run will be faster :)
Thanks for the good question, and hopefully the long answer was interesting!
Imagine running with saw build and not putting saw to the both slots
Hahah! Double saw is funny for the memes, although quite inefficient :p do NOT recommend!!!!!! :D
When you use a diff profile that means you can switch your perja?
That is correct yup. Different perk, different weapons if you want, and also a different _skill set_ if you set it up properly ahead of time.
@@Marcmb oh well thank you for telling me imma sub
I have a question, On Big Bank, can the guards hear you using the (silent) saw inside the vault?
Very good question, Lucky Frosty! That's one situation where the Sixth Sense check helps a lot: the deposit boxes are far enough into the vault, that guards patrolling outside will never hear your saw, as long as you have the Silent Motor (8.5m range).
However, there is one exception: when the camera guard spawns right next to the bus entrance, and there is a set of deposit boxes under him, he will hear you if you use the saw there without the "extra silent" saw trick.
@@Marcmb thx
@@ghosty1058 No problem! Thanks for the good question -- glad I could clear that up!
Ah so thats how you use Bulletstorm, I thought its only when you use an ammo bag or deploy it
Glad I could clear that up, Muhammad!
@@Okusar Didn't know it was that long ago! Good to know, even though that makes me feel old :p

is the gruber also a viable pistol to bring instead of the judge and if it is can you provide a class for it?
Hey Vidonicle! It's a good alternative for builds with the lowest 10 Detection Rating (an alternative to the Bernetti), but a bad alternative for The Judge: the reason to bring Judge is because you want a shotgun (for body launching), so a pistol will never be good enough as a replacement!

Hi Sneaky! The process is explained roughly at 6:55, but if you want a more in-depth explanation, you can click on the "Cards" (top right) and there's one which takes you to the "Ultimate Saw Guide", which explains it in more detail. Hope that helps!
Hello! I have a weird idea and since this channel has proved many other ones i though impossible, well, possible, i wanna see if it can be done
Breaking feds (everyone's fav heist obviously). Garret can suck it (majority consensus, yes?)
I wanna know if it is posible to reach the end (deliver the artifact and activate escape) and still get the chance to have a little payback on garret for being a piece of shit.
@@Marcmb Lmfao thats insane! Good to know then, thanks :D
Привет из России. Твои видео очень хороши.
Greetings from Russia. Your videos are very good. ;)
Thank you, Akel0n, I appreciate it! Glad you're enjoying the videos :)
Parkour aced ! 😭
Back dashing is way too powerful lmao
Hey Titubeur! There's 5 spare "preference points" for the level 100 build, so you can get that if you want! I didn't want to go into detail about what to do with those final 5 points, because there are so many personal preference things, and situational choices :p
What is your graphic settings and all of that stuff?
Hey Erie! All maxed pretty much. PAYDAY2 doesn't have a lot of graphics options!
What is the mod that let him know the times of the buffs???
Hey mikarium! All those buff timers are being displayed by my HUD mods, which are a combination of _PocoHUD3_ and _Additional PocoHud trackers._ Links (and install instructions + settings) here, if you're interested: steamcommunity.com/groups/MarcmbCrimeNET/discussions/0/2279330983559406525/
Why does it take 16 points in your skill tree to unlock tier 4 skills? Mines takes 18
Hey Kyle Tseng! Whenever you reach Infamy 1 (on PC), the points required to reach tier 4 are lowered from 18 to 16. Very useful for optimized builds!
@@Marcmb oh wild, recently started getting back into payday 2 after I bought it years ago lmao. I also saw your anarchist build :) and am currently building it
@@Yohruu That's a good one too, enjoy it! Very useful when you want to move fast while carrying gold and heavier stuff. Although generally Hacker is generally the best, as explained here ruclips.net/video/turXz4dxz8o/видео.html
Also remember that, because of the way Transporter ACE works, there's no speed gain for money and lighter bags -- just gold+ :)

@@Yohruu Hey Kyle! My notification says you were asking about the HUD, although the message shows up as blank right now :p
One of the reasons I use my current HUD is because it looks like vanilla, while providing a lot of useful info. It's basically a mix of _PocoHUD3_ and _Additional PocoHud trackers._ If you're interested, I have a Steam post with download links, install instructions, and settings, which you can find here: steamcommunity.com/groups/MarcmbCrimeNET/discussions/0/2279330983559406525
hey marc! you can get your detection with a saw down to 14 if you have akimbo judge primary, I think this would be a better companion than the grueber, let me know your thoughts
Pls help ;/
Hi! The concealment boost gives you only +1 on every weapon
How do you get skill points fast is it by leveling up?
Hi President! It's by levelling up yes. The first few levels require less experience points, so the first 70 skill points are really quick to get.
@@Marcmb k thanks btw do u know a heist that is good for players with out infamy other than cool off I just get annoyed when I lose my progress and I’m trying to get to level 100
How do you unlock the tier 4 16 skill points instead of 18?
Hi there tigertank! On PC, reaching Infamy 1 gives you that benefit. On console, it's Infamy 5 and there's a few more details. Let me know if you're on console, and I'll explain the details!
@@Marcmb Yes I am on console, infamy 3
@@Marcmb is there any xp farming video you have?
does berserker help saw open things faster?
Yes! It gives you a lot of saw damage (+250%, compared to the measly +40% from Carbon blades), so your saw will be able to open things with fewer hits!
you're very minimalistic on your weapon skins
That is very true! I kinda like these "simple highlights" on certain parts of the weapons, rather than all-out fully colored weapons :D
idk If they changed it I got this game last week lol but I seams like I need to buy more skills to get to the top one then you did?
Hey kirsche! If you are Infamy 0, you will need an additional 2 points to unlock the top tier of any skill tree (20 points instead of 18).
However, once you are Infamy 1 or higher, this restriction is lifted. Hope this clears it up! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask :)
@@Marcmb oh thanks thats good to know
@@_Kirsche You're welcome! Glad I could clear that up :)
