To the point:
A hidden pillow? Well, basically it's my regular pillow with a layer of paint on top of it. And you have no idea how much depth it adds to my scoop and drags... Just see for yourself!
In the video I talk about new pigments that I'm using. The Firedot pigments. I don't remember what I call the shop but I know I didn't use the right name.

The spinner I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single workstep is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)
I sell these on my homepage and if you want to up your game and create on big canvases, you seriously should check it out!
DISCLAIMER: It's a tool for serious artists, I always recommend getting a small , cheaper spinner to try if spinning is your thing first. After you've tried other versions, I promise you'll appreciate this guy over all of them if you work with big heavy canvasses and you spin all the time, like me.

The wall paint I use in this is Glidden essentials 'white' in eggshell
The magic juice/Cell activator is mixed with australian floetrol. (1:1)

My Pouring medium:
Behr Dynasty deep base semi-gloss and minwax polycrylic (roughly 2:1) from Home depot
And thinning to the right consistency with JoSonja gloss varnish (Dick blick, jerrys artsarama or Fluidart.co)
Magic juice paints (Cellmix), mixed with australian floetrol (1:1)
-amsterdam - blue turquoise and titanium white
Paints with my PM
custom colors:
Golden paints - mars black and Atelier - Blue/black
Golden paints - mars black and Firedots pigment - Indigo river
Pebeo - blue black
Amsterdam - Caput mortuum

I can understand why this piece sold quickly. It is fascinating. The ghostly illumination from the white pillow when you scoop and drag through the dark overlay is really neat and I can’t wait to try something like this myself.
I know! The effects blew me away. It’s tricky sometimes, but nothing some practice can’t fix.

Amazingly awesome my friend! Gosh I just love this! I like to use my Infinity PM same way as the background or extended pillow because it’s nice and thin but I’ve been having good luck recently with tinting my own pillow a cup at a time. Possibilities are endless girl! 🤩🤗💜💜💜
They sure are. That’s why I love this technique so much.
I might give that a try at one point. Basically tinting your own pillow is like pm without the varnish. Funny, I never thought about that before

I try to spin off as much paint as I can. I never leave more than a couple of millimeters on the canvas. Too much paint will make it crack

@@WinterStromArt Lady, you're an inspiration! I'd like to ask your advice if you have a moment. Should my pillow paint be thicker/thinner/same as the colors? My blooms keep cracking which is making ME crack.🤔🤨😱
@@shawna4801 yes, the principle of this technique is layering different consistencies. the pillow being the thickest followed bu a slightly thinner paint mixed with the pouring medium and a third layer, the cellactivator which is mixed with australian floetrol. The pillow should be thick and hold its shape for a while before it spreads out but thin enough to be able to move.
