Haven't seen you in a bit. Miss your videos bud. Keep up good work!
My 70s era split level has a hot upstairs and cold downstairs. Was desperately seeking solutions when I found myself going down the Nate Adams house whisperer / HVAC 2.0 wormhole. Great video -- wish I had someone like Nate in the Princeton. I'd gladly pay for a comfort consult. I'm kind of just winging things here at the moment. I've got an insulation guy air sealing and adding insulation to the attic. Same contractor is air sealing cantilevers/overhangs and adding dense pack to portions of the garage sharing an interior wall. But none of the three local, well reviewed HVAC contractors that I spoke with seemed too keen on installing a heat pump in our climate zone. I suspect their hesitance is because homes around here tend to be on the leaky side.
Good little vid Bill ...
I had this done at my house to check for air leakage !
Very interesting. 👌👍
Love old houses
That was a good lesson for sure lots of fun and keep us in the loop as to what you decide
Great video series man. Lots of good info. Keep us in the loop as to what you decide, and what his recommendations are. This is something I struggle with quite frequently as a fair chunk of my work is in older leaky homes. His comment on hvac when he said something along the lines of the more you learn, the more you realize you don't know was spot on. I'm constantly trying to find the best way to address these old leaky homes and it seems the customers never want to spend any money. 😆 Anyway, I'm dying to know the outcome. Great video and keep up the good work.
Good one Bill 👍
Thank you for allowing us into your home., and this series.
I'm in a newer 1908 Salt-Box in south-eastern N.Y., about 2600 sp. ft. and would love/hate to see my blower door numbers. We keep out local utility companys in business- oil and electric. Then again, no inside basement access, or attic to speak of(no access), but have this stupid gas fire place we don't use. Ohh, yea, all on one zone boiler and cast rads with the t-stat on one of the warmer walls (solar rad.) so the bedrooms upstairs are in the 40's and the stat says 75.
Weird. Pretty sure you were on the next insurance ad before the video.
12:02 - Hey, "What?! How is that so, so, so PURPLE?!" is missing from the Closed Captioning transcript!
Yo Bill!!! Good stuff hey use a sunflower seed in that mouse trap. Grind it into the holder and it’s a never fail.
🤙👍
Sounds like his heating up the master bedroom is more of a personal problem...
👍💯
@ Curious HVAC Guy, you have not posted a new video in quite a while. Just wondering what is going on and if you will have anything new anytime soon?
