  • This one is for our dear friend and teammate, Marshall Martin. You had a positive impact on more people than you'll ever know. We miss you so much.
    Jenna's back in action at 70.3 Chattanooga! To summarize in brief: it wasn't her day. Some unexpected things happened from the start, but the tenacity and grit showed through to the bitter end.
    Thank you to Ironman for the perfect bridge shot of us running together. And our friend, Bronson for the pre-race swim + run shots.

    Having done this sport for over forty years if you race enough especially chasing peak performance this stuff happens once in a while. You made the most of the situation.

    Oh I knew from the sound of your breathing in your first clip. I had an asthma attack in the middle of the swim in a race in 2021, and it was nearly impossible for me to keep moving AND try to get my breath control back. You are amazing for continuing to move forward. And to earn a worlds slot at the same time? Legendary! Hoping your inhaler adventures find you relief!

    Congrats Jenna. Been following you both for many years. I dealt with anxiety and panic attacks for the past few years and my first 70.3 bike was exactly like that and the run as well. No asma, nothing like that. Just anxiety kicking in on a different form. It all went away with tons of meditation and self care.
    Congrats on pushing through and always cheering for you both!

    👋 like the idea of rubber bands on the bike cages. Three years ago I switched to Fidlock water bottles and I think you should too. Never lose a bottle again! And they look better too.

    I've been there done that. I aspirated on a gel during the swim that I took before the race and that was the longest day of my life. Wtg Jenna. Way to fight and still kill it. I broke My collarbone the day before this race riding at the Dam so I didn't get to race.

      They could have edited that out. But instead they chose to be vulnerable. Perhaps kindness is a way to stay humble.

    • @jhiaaa
      @jhiaaa Год назад +2

      Being on the verge of an asthma attack is not being emotional, it's a really scary thing to live through. More power to her for overcoming the fear of that happening again during the race and still finishing.
