What’s funny though, is there is an episode where a wife was cheating on her husband and if I’m correct it was because of a rumor in her brain. She could not control her actions.
Law & Order SVU, a woman who’d been molested as a child had a tumor that made her impulsive and sexually assault a boy on her son’s soccer team. It was really sad because he thought they were “in love” and the tumor made her sex drive ridiculously high and as a victim of sexual assault you’re more likely to be victimized again or become a perpetrator.
My niece was in a situation recently where an emergent surgery was necessary to save her hand after a traumatic side-by-side accident. This is very accurate with Shaun showing stress from overstimulation. I have high-functioning autism and my brother has low-functioning autism (he’s 8 years old mentally and 16 physically). We both are very sensitive, except my brother who has hyposensitivity on his skin. I can’t even play volleyball without feeling like a 2x4 smashed into my arm. I have this reaction to loud noises, but only specific types. Music I can react well to. Things like balloons popping, children screaming, semi truck hydraulics, hell I had a 5 minute panic attack when we visited the firehouse and my teacher accidentally sounded off the Firetruck horn, which I was standing next to, right next to me. I thank my lucky stars one of the lieutenants knew these kinds of fits and had me focus on him. It’s so traumatic that I DONT PASS IN FRONT OF PARKED CARS ANYMORE. My peers where less then helpful (“it wasn’t that loud”, “stop crying”, “moumoune”(I’m from Quebec and it means weakling)) but, they were told to shut up and had firsthand experience with a panic attack from an autistic person. I know that was a bit much but it really explains how bad it is and how people treat people with these panic attacks. During that, my ears were ringing, my fight or flight instincts were kicking in and I had to stop myself from running away. I was shaking, crying, almost hyperventilating. It’s BAD. And I’m on the weaker side of the spectrum. I know panic attacks don’t always happen with autism but it’s common, and that panic attack was worse for me because my brain was on immediate “I’m in horrible danger and I dunno what to do” mode. Again demonstrated it pretty well that overstimulation can lead to drastic change in autistic patients. I applaud this show for showing that.
My friends older brother has severe autism and the thing that I really like is that his parents treat him like a normal kid. Like he can't talk or control his emotions or anything, but his family treats him very similarly to how they treat my friend. That's one thing about this show that I admire a lot too. I mean I haven't watched it for myself only stuff in these videos, but from what I can see, his coworkers and his boss all treat him like a normal guy.

Ah. So something really bad that I know nothing about?

I was thinking of exactly that episode!
Yess I had the same thought and actually had a question if that was actually possible until Mike mentioned it here
Law & Order SVU, a woman who’d been molested as a child had a tumor that made her impulsive and sexually assault a boy on her son’s soccer team. It was really sad because he thought they were “in love” and the tumor made her sex drive ridiculously high and as a victim of sexual assault you’re more likely to be victimized again or become a perpetrator.

Everybody bitching about "it's exactly what it sounds like."
It is. You can break down the conditions name and figure out what it is. It's called etymology.
Exactly
Pull = apply force towards oneself
Mona = female name, most famously Mona Lisa
Ree = angry or alarmed screech
Hi = greeting
Pair = two of something
Tens = big number
Shun = cast out, shoo away
Thus:
pulmonary hypertension = meeting of two people who then evacuate a bunch of people, while alarms go off due to the Mona Lisa being stolen again

Dr. Mike liked your comment :)
I love mike's little giggles after he diagnoses something and the show repeats the exact diagnosis after he says it lol
Does anyone else just love the face he‘s doing when he is really concentrated on the show??
My friends older brother has severe autism and the thing that I really like is that his parents treat him like a normal kid. Like he can't talk or control his emotions or anything, but his family treats him very similarly to how they treat my friend. That's one thing about this show that I admire a lot too. I mean I haven't watched it for myself only stuff in these videos, but from what I can see, his coworkers and his boss all treat him like a normal guy.
