    It looks like a quite Korean beef BBQ restaurant. I did not know Japan also eat similar way. Looks very nice.

    • @HeresGoodTravel
      @HeresGoodTravel  Месяц назад +1

      Totally! In Japan the meals come with much less banchan and the flavored marinades are more mild than in Korea. Their meat has a higher fat content that some people love but we prefer the high end beef in Korea. Also one funny difference, many Japanese restaurants are designed for single people or small groups. When we were in Seoul we would almost be laughed at as a party of two. All the tables are family sized and built for large parties😂. We truly fell in love with both. Thanks for watching💯

      そのとおりで、ご飯と一緒に焼きにを食べるのは日本人の習慣です。伝統的に欧米の方は混ぜて食べる習慣がないという先入観があって、自然にご飯と一緒に食べる姿に驚きました。

    When I went to Japan, I had never had wagyu before. I wanted to do it right, so I booked a day trip from Kyoto to Kobe just for that. I found a highly rated yakiniku place which had a deluxe lunch set menu where I got something like 30 pieces. There was a guy trying to impress his girlfriend at the table next to me, and he had ordered the smallest menu. So when they brought out my big deluxe menu complete with a ribbon and a giant golden sign that showed the exact origin of the cow I was getting meat from, he was not so happy with me :).
    Long story short, I had been looking forward to this for so many years, and my expectations were just sky high. And the first bite was just even better than I could ever have imagined. I had to look away, because I had literal tears in my eyes. The taste was just a hyper-concentrated version of everything that makes beef tasty. Without a doubt the single best food experience I have ever had. Japan has so much great food, but this is almost impossible to top for me.

      @@HeresGoodTravel Yeah! Some people say that food tastes better when you're on vacation, but I really was skeptical about the experience, and there's just no doubt in my mind that it is on another level. Even the A4 I got very cheap on sale from the supermarket and cooked myself was way better than any beef I have had in my country.

      Thank you so much! We went to Hiroshima but only had one night on the Shinkansen en route to Fukuoka where our departing flight was. If I remember correctly we went to and Indian restaurant with the largest Naan bread we’ve ever seen and visited the memorial and a small Izakaya for drinks. We recorded it but I’m not sure that we have enough to do a full video. We are planning a return trip and will do our best to capture some more so we have more to share.

    The last time I was in Japan was in 97 or 98 if I remember correctly, and it was also the last time I had actual A5 Wagyu (and not American Wagyu or Australian Wagyu, which are both good, but not A5 good lol). Back then, the prices for all you can eat like this were insanely cheap compared to these days (and I don't mean because of inflation, just in general prices have gone up a good 40-50% since then for most things). The only two things I even remember from that trip at this point (I'm over 50 so my memory is not the best anymore lol) are the A5 meat we ate, and the fact it snowed while we were there and it was just beautiful. It was absolutely gorgeous where we were staying outside of Tokyo, especially covered in snow and just, yeah. I wish I could go back. The only two places I want to travel to anymore, Japan and Alaska.

      @@HeresGoodTravel Japan, Korea, even China. Some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, even if the language barrier is crazy steep. I thought in Bejing it'd be horrible for me in the late 90s, but nope, had a grand old time. Sure, there's a lot of issues there but every country has issues (especially these days lol) but the food. My word the food. Japan and China, absolutely two of the best food travel destinations on the planet. Hands down. Korea also, but Korea is very westernized at this point (and man they love putting cheese on EVERYTHING lol).

      私たちの擁護に来てくれてありがとう!和牛を調理するのは今回が初めてで、脂が強すぎて流れ落ちてしまい、炎がすぐに大きくなってしまい、最初の数切れは焼きすぎてしまいました。食事が進むにつれて上達したと思いますが、これにはかなりの練習が必要です。だから私たちはよく外食して、他の人に料理してもらって台無しにしないようにしているんです。😂🫠 私たちは肉はミディアムレアが好きですが、外側をカリカリに焼くのも好きです。これは私たちの個人的な好みですが、食事が進むにつれて上達したと思いますので、今後も練習を続けます。
