So proud of you both. Jobs, a new house, 750 new RUclips subscribers and a life truly unfolding in the place you’ve been dreaming of for ages. You deserve it all 👊🏻
Never thought I'd be interested in this type of content but for some reason its been great following your journey. Keep up the great work and all the best with your adventures in Australia💪
I can’t imagine how you could ‘make the most’ of your arrival/early weeks…..you had the stress of finding jobs, a home and missing your original home. I feel you will ‘make the most’ of your very good decision to move to Australia, once you have settled into your new work and home. Don’t expect too much of yourselves. So many of us Aussies came from somewhere else (in my case Denmark/Sweden), and it took a little time but I can not imagine life anywhere else now…..and that was back in 1972 (when I was 6 and arrived here). We have fast flights, internet, phones now…..there is no need to go through what my parents went through (missing family and waiting 6 weeks for a letter). If you stay here long enough to have kids…..they will grow up as Aussies….like I did. You can never regret that……I am so grateful my parents did this for me.
An emotional one my guys x so so proud of you both. Diving head first into everything and you deserve everything amazing that is coming your way. My heart is so full - miss you more everyday, but happy in knowing you are both smashing it xxx
Love this blog, this is a huge move to make no matter how good it is here You have moved to the other side of the world away from family and friends, takes guts.
Awwww trudy 😢it upset me to see you cry 😢 I know your OK now you've got a job and an apartment 😊😊 onwards and upwards for you both. Just enjoy yourselves and live your lives. I'm super proud of you both ❤❤
My son moved to London 3 years ago. ( dual nationality) his gf, on a work visa, got work immediately. He took 5 months to find a job. He worked for a year, then was retrenched, and it took another 4 months to find a job. He landed the job of his dreams in the end. My hubbie and I arrived back from our 4 year stint living o/s in the early 90s slap bang in the middle of the recession and we also took months to find work and when we did it was not at all things we really wanted to be doing. It took me 3 years to get back into my field and at a lower level to start with. My advice to you all in the same boat is to he kind to yourselves. You have done something incredibly brave moving across the world. Be patient. A new life takes time to establish. Call in favours. Be preparedd to accept anything that comes your way. If you can afford to do a local barista course and and a RSA course. Just as fillers But most of all share your burdens with someone you trust. You are NOT alone x
Love you guys I have seen many young Brits on RUclips comming to OZ I work with many young Brits and they are different than the original Brits the 10 pound poms these new poms are amazing we need more of these young energetic people in Australia Australia needs people like this 😊
You have been very lucky to find a permanent place to live in so quickly. Accommodation in Melbourne is hard to get especially in very popular bayside St. Kilda and other nearby suburbs and also the fact that you do not have a long permanent employment history or a high salary/wage. Australia is having a housing crisis mainly due to the high immigration. Melbourne was top of list for cities in the world in which to live for a number of years and still is in the top ten. Enjoy !
Congrats you guys. So proud of youse. If you guys ever have a wednesdaty night off @ queen victoria market they having a summer night market with streetfood, entertainment and drinks 5pm-10pm 20th of November until 12th of March.
Have you come across a youtube channel " Cheeky Koala Aussie snapshots"? This lady makes reaction videos about people coming to Oz and you were in a video called : "Do these Brits get Melbourne". Maybe you got some new subscribers from her.
Congrats on the new digs. You've done well to find something in Melbourne so quickly, the way things are at the moment. What suburb is it in? Almost everyone I know who has moved to another country (including me) has been through a patch of feeling down, emotional or out of place. It's just part of the process of resettling. If you get stuck in, it falls away pretty quickly.
We are staying in St kilda, not too far from where we are now as its ideal for both of our workplaces. We found somewhere super quick compared to most and we are very excited!
I been living here in Melbourne for 11 years now and I love it here But it was not easy to get a full time work and ro make money at first and I had to study again to get a good job and now I work as a nurses assistant full time
Congratulations on your place! You didn’t need me after all. Lol It seems your close to where my office is also. If you ever need any rental assistance or questions please reach out or even meet a friendly face in the area 😊🙌
It's difficult wondering in a foreign country with nothing and having to get up and running and you see your funds dwindling what a pressure to make the right decision. Choose the right area but Australia's a million times better than the UK. It's worth hanging on in there. Getting some money in the bank and then going out. Doing nice stuff. Bit of campaign. Get up the river little road trip a few rodeos how a weekend in Sydney.... Australia's awesome country! I'm an ex-backer and been through all this now. Been here 16 years. You're doing a great job guys. Stay happy! Enjoy!
Trudy it's not easy when you first get to Australia, it takes time, but everything falls into place , you meet some great people, like anywhere you have some ups and down days, stay strong, u got this gal❤
Congratulations on getting the flat ! You’re all settled in! Now, just sit back and enjoy marvellous Melbourne in the summer 🎉 PS just so you know, I emigrated to Melbourne some years ago hence your vlog resonates with me so much. At the moment however, I’m living in HK, but will be back! 😂
Just Image how hard it was back in the day's, Today people have the world at there feet and they find time to complain, this country will either make you or break you it comes down to how tough you are.
So proud of you both. Jobs, a new house, 750 new RUclips subscribers and a life truly unfolding in the place you’ve been dreaming of for ages. You deserve it all 👊🏻
THE MAN!!🥰
Don’t underestimate the magnitude of what you’ve done to move across the world,
but you’re both awesome x
Thanks so much Suzanne sometimes we need it!

Hopefully your new landlord doesn't see you breaking into your own air BnB and leaving the key in the door 🤣
I like to think that shows we are determined before we call out a tradey!
That Access Car Rental place on Barkly St you walk past a few times, he always has some tasty-looking classic cars in there. He haunts the auctions.
Cant beat a classic car might have to take a stroll in!
